I think Final Fantasy V needs a sequel. I love Faris's attitude & well, it would be cool to see Galuf or ExDeath again. I think Final Fantasy VII didn't need so many sequels. Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was awesome, but Dirge of Cerberus is a different story. I like Vincent, but the gameplay could have been better. Final Fantasy X didn't need a sequel, but X-2 presented new ideas, so it's passable.
On a different topic: I want to see a 3D remake of FFV & FFVI.

I don't think any of the FF games should have game sequels. Movies like AC, or games that focus on a different character, like DoC, I don't mind so much, and I love the idea of remakes for the older ones, but games like X-2 shouldn't be made.

Final Fantasy was always a self contained episode to me. Each game started and ended itself and never had a sequel. That was part of the appeal. So many games that do have sequels progressively get worse, like movies. FFX-2 can still makes me cringe. I am against making sequels of any FF. I sucked down Advent Children since it was a movie and not a game. Dirge of Cerebus I considered but I am probably not going to get it.
Remaking them is a whole different ballpark though. Some of the classics would be even better if they were updated graphics wise. That is a different issue though.
Back to the point. I dislike sequels because a lot of times they just seem to be cashing in on the fandom of the whatever it may be and let the quality of it go. That is all just my opinion and I know someone is going to disagree.
Btw. DM Draco Moondragon. I am not sure how they would be able to work that for FF8 if they ever did a sequel. I know I just ranted against it but the only thing that I can think of that would be of interest to me would be deal with Ultimecia herself, or Seifer, or some other character to explain them that they could have done more with in the original series. It would have to be mind blowingly stellar for me to get a sequel, but yeah.

I do not believe Final Fantasy sequels should be made either. Final Fantasy games are great the way they are without sequels (sorry i refuse to acknowledge X-2 as a Final Fantasy game). I have never felt at the end of a Final Fantasy game that there was more to the story to tell, that the game somehow felt incomplete which is why I say that.

I think they finished off most of the FF games quite well. They're not supposed to need a sequel.
I'd love to see them all re-done with up to date graphics and voice acting. That'd be the greatest thing ever.

Let's see, I'm not sure really. I know there making a sequel to XII, which is coming out on DS...but I'm not sure what else I want.

I like most of the sequels. Advent Children was alright, but I prefered Last Order (Crisis Core OVA). Dirge of Cerberus was a lot of fun, too. X-2 was entertaining, I had a lot of fun with it, but it's sort of stupid. It was a little too... Sailor Moon for my taste.
I wish that FFVIII had a sequel. Or a prequel. I don't think there's that much that could be done to move the story forwards, but seeing more of the past would be nice. The characters are too likable to just leave there and not do anything else with.

I personally really didn't like the girly girl thing that X-2 had going on but I think there's still hope

i thought that it was good for FFX to have a sequel, but you are right, we could have done without the dancing and singing quests. I liked the dress spheres though xd

I don't think any FF needs a sequel. And side-games like DoC or movies like AC are nice, so I guess they're alright. But eventually they'll just drain whichever number (in this case, VII) of any respect it has. People will tire of hearing about it.
But as for straight sequels, sure fans get curious about what happened to their favorite character, but its better to let your imagination wonder than actually play something like X-2... :/

Final Fantasy V has a sequel. XD it was an anime series, set 200 years after the events of V. Mid is in it as a ghost. XD
Personally I'd like VI and VIII to have sequels, only because I like those games. XD VI ended a bit suddenly, like VII did. They were just escaping Kefkas Tower and that was it. If they wanted to I'm sure they could bring out something for that, even if it was just a short anime episode like Last Order, showing how the world got back on it's feet I'd be happy.
VIII is a bit trickier, seeing as time and the future were elements of the game, everything's pretty much set out. The only options I could see are; a) Playing on the Rinoa=Ultimecia theories, and basing a game in which you have to prevent Rinoa turning evil and create a paradox, or use Ellone to create a paradox somehow so that Rinoa can live out without becoming evil but also have an alternate timeline where Ultimecia is still there, or conversely, becoming Rinoa's Knight and ensuring she does become evil in order to give the future the same outcome. XD The thing is, this is a fan rumour, which has been somewhat debunked, but not officially denied and still plausible. or; b) Time is in peril again, seeing as attacks on time originate exterior to time, they could effectively pull this off thousands of times with no plot holes. But it would be corny as hell, you know, just like Sephiroth coming back again, and again, and again. XD

FF sequels even if they are all right usually wreck the feel of the game they have followed. I was at the Tokyo Game Show last week though and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP looks absolutely fantastic. If it gets an english release I may finally buy what I have seen as the waste of space hand held. As it is a prequel it doesn't count to my above statement

My sister has a friend who has a copy of Crisis Core (in Japanese, obviously). Apparently, it is really, really awesome. As expected. I hope they decide to release it in the US as well.
