Ok, I was really just wondering if I was the only one that noticed...I mean, I know I shouldn't make a big deal out of it, and that I'm overreacting, but each time I see a mistake, it just makes me sooo mad, like the editors or whoever reads over them are getting sloppier and sloppier.

In Twilight, I didn't find any mistakes that I know of, but then in New Moon, there were words that were missing, especially the word "to" and now, in Eclipse (I just got it yesterday so I'm not finished reading it yet) not only are there words missing, there are words that are added in unnecessary place and words that are mispelt/wrong so that the sentence makes no sense and I'm not even half way through the book, I've already found a bunch (compared to the other two)

Am I just paranoid? I doubt it...or is it because all the books that I just happen to get are the ones with the mistakes in them?

"Thought I'd begin by reading
a poem by Shakespeare, but then I thought...."

The biggest mistake in the books is Jacob not ending up with me. xD

But seriously, I never catch any typos when I read a book unless it messes up a whole sentence's meaning and confuses me. I tend to skip over minor mistakes and add in the missing word as I go along. That's why I'd suck as an editor. xD

Sometimes I have caught similar mistakes. At first I thought I was just being hypercritical and losing it, but when I went back and read all three one right after the other, there are a few mistakes. Glad I'm not the only one who caught it.

d00d, I noticed a LOT in Eclipse.
I was all like, 'd00d, wtf? honestly~'
I think one day I'll go through all three books and underline or write down all the mistakes.

There were a lot more mistakes... rather... typos in 'Eclipse' than in any of the other books. I never get mad when I find typos. It's really not that big a deal to me. They were really minor things... mistakes that I make all the time when typing. It makes the author/editors seem more human to me. To know that even the professionals can make mistakes and overlook things. I personally think that the reason there were so many mistakes is that there was less time to fix them. There was a schedule... a deadline to meet.

It just bothers me is all...I'm sort of OCD like that, always needing to find a mistake...or, you could say perfectionist.

Eclipse had many mistakes with the sentences that just made them have no sense

Also, Eclipse really really disappointed me...I didn't like it at all

okay, well I just had to post this here because I think it could relate..

Have you noticed that Twilight and New Moon are both published by Atom, but Eclipse is published by Little Brown?

I was just thinking that it's probably got the mistakes because it was a different publishing company than the first two..right?

I'm no expert with who publishes and edits or whatever, I'm just too observant. whee

And I'm only halfway through Eclipse, and I'm not so sure if I found any errors..
Knowing me, I would just re-read the sentence over and over and try to make some sense out of it. And if it makes no sense to me, I just assume it's my stupidity and I'd move on..but yeaa.. 3nodding

Your not paranoid. There are some typos. When they were in New Moon it just bothered me but now I have to reread the sentences in Eclipse to try and undertsand what's happening or what they're talking about. sad

yea. i noticed typos too, and it did kinda make me mad. im kinda like that tho. i notice small tihngs like that all the time. im glad other people noticed it tho. i think they should spend more time correcting those. plus when i went to the store to buy eclipse, a lot of the books were already like messed up, like the cover and stuff.
