Are teenies worse, in your opinion, or are haters? What makes you more angry? Or are they both equally disgusting?

I'd say haters, because they seem to dismiss the band for no reason without giving them a chance. Then, there are what I like to call the active haters, who purposely troll threads involving MCR just to piss the fans off. At least some teenies may like the music, even if they are fixated on the band's looks or popularity.

Any thoughts?

Hmmm, that’s a tough choice. But I have to go with teenies.
Haters are annoying and most of the time hate the band for no other reason that the fact that they think it’s cool to hate them. But really, who cares? The band doesn’t; they thrive on adversity. From what they say haters are kind of fun (of course, this could just be them putting on a front, not letting the haters know they bother the band, but I don’t think that’s the case.)

There’s also the fact that the majority of people the average hater can get a rise out of are teenies. When some twit go into a pro-MCR forum and goes ‘lol they r fagzorz lololololol’ a mature person generally ignores them, or calmly deals with them. 9 times out of 10 it’s a teenie who will get into a flap, proclaiming in all caps how the band saved their lives and who the hater is an idiot ect ect.

Also, haters generally don’t go to MCR shows (unless they’re playing a festival), while teenies will be there front and center, screaming at Gerard about how they want his babies. They’re also the people who hang around after shows, screaming at the band members, demanding photographs and signatures and generally just freaking the band members out. Teenies upset them more than haters do.
I guess the teenie’s only redeeming quality would be that they help fund the band by buying their merch, which allows them to do stuff like their recent tour. Plus there’s a chance that they will grow up, get over themselves, and become actual fans. But until then, they’re worse than haters.

Oh wow, I didn’t mean to write a freaking essay about this eek

I;m going to be stupid and say they're both bad.

Teenies are more annoying though.

I don't think they deserve munchy, crunchy, chocolatey cocoa death though, that sounds too tasty for them. I think they need some sort of rusty nail induced deaths.

I say that on occasion because it's from my favorite episode of Mystery Science Theatre, 3000. The next line is: "Enjoy a nice serving of brown betty (an apple dessert), with DEATH!!!" It's just a funnier way of saying "eat death".

Papercut-induced DEATH. Very slow and painful.

Well...I think that arguments against both are valid, but in the end...I'd have to say that haters get to me more then teenies, mainly because most of my friends are haters. I know, I know, why be friends with a hater? But aside from stupid musical hierarchy they are decent people. Anyway, the reason haters, including my hater friends get to me, is best explained with an account. I was sitting in my advisement class, listening to music, and my friend came over and took one of the earphones and began listening to it. I had Mama on, but she not being a My Chem fan did not know this. She listened, and she danced and said that she really enjoyed the song and wished to know who it was buy so she could check them out. I paused, knowing she would not like the response, and said it was My Chemical Romance, to which she scoffed, said it sucked, and strode away.

Now, if you want to be a hater, that is your own perogitive, but to sit there, and tell me you like something, and then discover it's something you project a great dislike for, and immediately regurgitate any liking you may have had in ignorance, that, is disgusting. Just admit that you don't know s**t about the band, and dislike them for something other then their musicality. No one has the right to decide if a band sucks musically or not, especially people who have never touched an instrument in their entire lives.

Screw musical hierarchy. Like what you like, and don't pay attention to the stuff that you don't.
You may say you hate Gerard Way, but you still know his name, don't you?
You may say that I'm Not O.K. is the worst song ever written, but I can still hear you humming it as you walk away. What the hell kind of logic is that?
If I need to hate or like certain things for people to like me, then ******** those people. (Sorry for the language.) I don't care. Music is a personal thing. Yes, you can bond over it and have a common interest, but to detest someone for liking a band is so utterly ridiculous of an idea that it makes me vomit slightly. In a strictly metaphorical sense, of course.

Anyway.
Yeah.
There's my take.

At least with teenies, they have the potential to grow out of teenie-dom.
but most haters,
Remain haters.

On the death issue, neither deserves to die, just beaten with sticks until they figure out that a bands style shouldn't friggen matter in the first place.

For the love of Geesus.

Bwahahaha, I am so happy I’m not the only one who wrote an essay of a response ^_^

(And it’s okay to have haters as friends. You must be there to show them the errors of their ways!)

On the matter of hating the band for all the wrong reasons, I find it parallel to teenies who like the band for all the wrong reasons. In general, both haters and teenies base their opinions on the band by the way they look and what they’ve heard and seen about them in the media and from other people. Many teenies are basically fair-weather fans; they are into the band because they’re the it band of the moment. In the same vein, they’re also the it band for haters. It’s cool to hate on them. The so called ‘emo’ genre and all of the bands that are forced under that umbrella are popular targets for ridicule. So either way, both groups are just following the crowd.

Now I’m going to refrain from ranting about people who hear a song, like it, then find out it’s from a band they ‘hate’ and proceed to dismiss it. I HATE THAT.

God, they are both as bad as each other. I mean, as you said, haters dislike My Chemical Romance, sometimes for the stupid reasons. They don't even give the band a chance. (Most of them, anyway). Both haters and teenies really do judge My Chem on their popularity, their looks and what they've heard in the media. Which really sucks.

I've had a big experience in MCR haters. My best friend has two older brothers who are into music such as Slayer, Megadeath, Machine Head ...etc etc. And they hate My Chemical Romance because they are 'emo'. And they are clearly not emo. My Chemical Romance have said it themselves. These two haven't even given My Chem a chance, and they give me s**t all the time about wearing their merch, going to their gigs, everything. But the oldest one has finally given into me, and he gave My Chem a chance. He now loves Famous Last Words and Drowning Lessons. He still doesn't like the actual band themselves, but liking their music IS a start. The other one thought....I don't think there's ever a hope in hell of him liking My Chem. DDDD<

Teenies on the other hand, are, in my opinion, the most annoying people God has put on this earth. Seriously. All they talk about is the bands looks, their popularity, and sometimes the band member's hair. I mean seriously. Some don't even care for the music. If....if Gerard became bald then you'd see a hell of alot of teenies suddenly not liking My Chem as much anymore. Know what I mean?

So, what I'm trying to say is, they're as bad as each other.
And I really don't know who is worse.
But they both suck. Majorly. DDD<

(Chyeah, baby. I wrote an essay too.)

I don't like haters but I can't stand teenies. To me the thing that matters most is the music and 99% of the time teenies are just there because to them the band is "hott" or they just jumped on the band wagon because the band was popular. I get so tired of talking to a person because they have an MCR shirt just to find out that the only band member they know is Gerard.

Also, teenies usually don't want to be corrected. When they say/spell someone's name wrong they get all pissed off when you try to correct. Alot of these girls don't seem to understand that the band members have girlfriends/wives/fiancees and some of the band members are twice their age.

Haters aren't really that bad in my opinion. Sure they don't usually have a reason for hating them but they're easy to ignore while most of the time Teenies are not.

And that's my response to the question. Curse you for actually making me think.

As far as popularity goes, I like it more when a band/actor/show/movie is less popular. That way, thre are some fans I can talk to, yes, but less of the idiocy (a.k.a. teenies {or what I'd call "fangirlies" or "fanpires") that usually goes on that comes with popularity. I made a scale.

If you are a celebrity:
Fans love you primarily for your work. They may also find you attractive.
Fangirls or fanboys may love you for both your work and your looks. They also WANT you, but usually understand this is just a fantasy.
Fangirlies and fangeekboys (aka teenies) have to know what you had for breakfast, think you will marry them (and may even believe it) and are in the habit of believing most of the gossip about you. They often write in text talk.
Fanpires are scary. They claim ownership of you, hate other people talking about you or finding you attractive. Fanpires covet your soul. They may think they are you, in some strange, twisted way. They end most of their sentences with "mine". When a celebrity encounters a fanpire, he/she should end his or her sentence with "Security!!!!!" [Yes, I've actually encountered people like this.]

and Hitmen, you ask?

Hitmen are special. They defend their chosen band to the death!!! They also are the better side of fanboys/girls. They make great jokes. They think creative thoughts. They're cool to hang out with. The others be jealous.
