So, my sis and I both love Disgaea, albeit for different reasons, I'm a math nerd(Ultimately, that's what it boils down to.) who loves strategy games, she loves the characters, and doesn't mind grinding. Needless to say we have different playing styles.
So, what's your favorite aspect of Disgaea? Do you play for the end game challenges? To watch another wacky ping-pong game of the Overlord's subjects? Or perhaps another reason I never thought of?
You've had your spoons, now post.

Well, it's hard for me to nail down a single aspect of the game that I like the most. . . But I'm an RPG kind of gamer and I love strategy RPGs a lot, probably either my favorite or second favorite kind of RPG. . .

Master Prinny It's different then all the other games I play. Yeah, it's very much different from most, if not all, of the RPGs I play. The only one that is similar is Final Fantasy Tactics, but I like Disgaea's combat system more

Humour,strategy,artwork,and unique-ness.
I mean,it's not everyday you'd see a kid overlord beating the crap out of the whole netherworld with a skimpy(yet tough)looking demon and a ditzy angel as his vassals
OR
is it everyday that you find a normal human surrounded by a world of demons and quests to fight the overlord AND pairs up with a demonic princess?
I like things that're never though up before ^_^

It's just.. I don't know, an insane combination XD - it's a challenging game, it has a fun plot, an incredible insane host of characters, and enough stuff you can do inbetween itemworlds, leveling, bonus worlds and multiple endings...
Love it. ^_^

It wouldn't be Disgaea (or any other Nippon Ichi game)if it wasn't all that.It wouldn't be as satisfyingly awesome....
I wonder how it'd be like if it WASN'T in sprite form o_o...

Hmmm....I'd say the biggest thing that gets me is the characters and story. The strategy RPG elements are really well done in this game compared to other games. (The only real rival to it is Final Fantasy Tactics.) Other than that...nothing else really comes to mind.
