I love brushes. I prefer to use grungy and swirly type brushes, but i use much more than just that. XD I don't have a specific website where I get them, I usually just google search photoshop brushes and see what i can find. =)

I prefer abstract brushes. They look really smoky and I dunno I feel you can do a lot of things with abstract. It seems they are easier to use and also great way to start out because all abstract is is whatever you wanna make it :]. So who can't do that :]].

I like to use abstract brushes too, because as you said, you can pretty mcuh do whatever. I.like to start with the simpler things though, mostly because I can get carried away with what Im doing. Lovely sig by the way.

Ha ha, thank you kindly :].
Yeah they seem to be everyone starting point when they start to combine brushes and things. I should most likely move onto to more complicated brushes but. I think abstract will always be my favorite style.

I use fractal brushes on vivid light. LOVE. heart
I also pixel alot so pixel brushes are beyond awesome. :3

I was about to say that I dont use brushes much, but then I saw those japanese brushes you posted and had a spasm in their glory.

I love to use abstract brushes, like cosmic things and blood. Sometimes smoke, and I have yet to find a good brush for using fire with unless I draw it in myself. Sometimes I like the grungier feel to a brush because even though it can start off clean and simple, it's easy to spice it up.

Haven't tried devianART for brushes before.

1. Yes!!! And I also create them when I need something specific and I can't find it.
2. I can't tell you b/c I use A LOT of brushes. In fact, my poor laptop is all slow when I open or close PS. It takes at least 5 mins to open or close my PS as I have so many brushes DLed.
