Well folks, it is finally here. Look at it up there.
It's hard to miss....
Okay, the colors I have no problem with, the basic design, once again, not that bad.
My problem?... It's so damn unwieldy.
The thing is huge and it feels like it is squatting on the rest of the site.
Nothing about the design bothers me, its the SIZE of the thing that is a b***h. It feels like the rest of the site is taking a second fiddle to the header. Say what you will about the previous one, but at least it felt navigable and intergrated into the forums.
The landing page? I got no problem with. Just the ******** up there. *points up*
EDIT: Also... what's with that wated space up there to the left of our avatar? Dude, not cool.

Quinn Cillian I almost like it a actually. I find it convenient... *shrug* It's not the design or function I am bitching about. It's how clunky it looks above the forums. They don't mesh well, and the top bar is just... BIG. Too big to fit well with the forum. Maybe if there was a little more space between the header and the... everything else, it would not look so bad.

I like the new white Gaia Online logo up there, the orange and yellow one was... kinda fruity to me. The site looks more modern now, the last layout looked kinda childish. I like this one more, but making my way around can take some getting used to. To be fair getting my way around takes time with every layout change, but this one is somewhat more buerocratic. They brought back the shortcut bar so thats cool too.

I was half expecting them to use the feather thingy... it is nice, but if they were to put the "home my gaia world community ect..." at the top and not the bottom I would be happier.

I actually like it better at the bottom xd I was actually looking forward to a potential color scheme change in more than just the landing page and the header. The white/blue forum style doesn't really match the more modern header. Which sucks, cause I really like both styles.

Well... I like the header, but it doesn't match the rest of the site now... Hopefully they'll be changing the rest of the site to work better with the new header. I really like how our avatars are full size up there now. And the way things are set up won't be too hard to get used to. And I like the darker colors. Much easier on the eyes. They definitely need to change at least that about the rest of the site.

The dark purple doesn't really match the happy blue... I thibk it'd be cool if we could have like a customized color theme, Ja?

I thought they said they were working on the rest of the site to make it match up... a phase 2 to the update. I like it.

@Vince: It looks big for you? eek It's really tiny for me! At least, it looks less intruding that the last header.
And they said the Forums and the Marketplace weren't ready yet - they're going to release the new version in the second update.

Yeah, that PM thing is.... Well they HAVE to do something about that. In all the updates we've known when we had mail, but I just looked up and saw that I had a pm. That is not a very effective way to tell you have mail xp

I love it. It's not that big to me, so it might be resolution differences? And like others have said, they're finishing the rest of the site. So it should all match after awhile. I love the way they filled the space. At least it isn't a crapload of white just glaring back at you. And they finally incorporated the map. So yeah, I'm content.
