burning flame of death

PostPosted: Wed Aug 08, 2007 12:02 pm

I'm really sick and tired of movies, show, ect. saying "the human race is ruining the world, they should not have been made, because they only bring pain." or something in that general direction.
If we weren't ment to be then I'm sure we would not have been made or evolved in the first place.
So, what do you think?

I belive that all things happen for a reason. All things happen for good. Humans are privlaged to be on this Earth.

To me humans are meant to exist it's just that currently to few people are taking responsibility for the privilege of existence. If everyone took care of the planet we live in then everyone will have earned the privilege of existence.

Ummm...this question can't really be answered. Should dino's have died, should lightning be less life threatining, should squirrels stop stuffing their cheeks? We can ask a should question about life, but we can't change it, so what's the point? We're here and we should enjoy our lives. If we weren't meant to be here, I'm sure something would've happened by now.

Whether you think humans are good or bad, helpful or destructive. . .they exist. I don't think the question is whether we were meant to be here or not. The questions should be more why are we here.

i'm not sure exactly.
i do know that we need to take care of this place better.
so much s**t going on on the planet is because of humans.
maybe we were meant to be here to learn a lesson about ourselves
idk
but humans do have some issues we need to work out.

We have earned out place as humanity in out galaxy and the universe

I think that people are starting to realize that some of the crap that the human race does totally sucks. We as a race were given a duty to evolve to rule and make the Earth a better palce for everyone/thing.

We aren't given any duties whatsoever besides further our species, which is a natural instinct.

Animals evolved, yet, they have no purpose. They just live their lives and die. They are born. They eat. They live. They survive. Then they die.

That is exactly what we do, except with our hightened intelligence and ability to understand the world around us, we advance, not because it is our duty to do so in order to protect the world, but because that's the way we grow, and we have to find ways to adapt. To further the species. If apes advanced in intelligence to our level and knew that a meteor would strike the earth in 19 years, don't you think they'd try to find a way to prevent it? Of course. Why? Because we have to live on. Self-preservation instincts.

Yes, we do bad things that hurt the earth, but in this high-tech, fast paced human world, we have to do things that hurt the earth, to live.

Lets say, if your job was an hour drive away from your house, and that's going at a constant speed of 50 miles per hour.. If you didn't have one of our "air-polluting cars," you would have to walk 50 miles to get there.

I don't know about you, but I walk 5 miles non-stop at a speed of 5mph and my legs get all noodley.

Even if you can make it there by walking, it would take 10 hours at a speed of 5mph, which is a pretty fast walking speed. Then you have to work.. To live.. For money.. To provide for your family.. Oh, but how are you gonna get home?....... You gotta walk.

Hypothetical, of course, but tell me this; Wouldn't that suck balls?

This is the world we live in. People like this are all over the world. But what would happen if people banned cars because pollution is hurting the earth..? Life, as we know it, would suck balls. A lot.

For us to stop hurting the earth, we would have to de-volve. And that's not going to happen.

I've been asking myself that lately.

I believe that we're meant to be here. We just need to clean up out act.

In the bible, God destroyed the tower of Babel, because they wanted to be as mighty as God.

Now, we're using technology as a way to reach him. Maybe there's a lesson to be learned.

We will be given the nessesities to survive. But we obviously we want more.

Sorry to bring God into this but that's how I view it.
