There are some people that just visit the CB thread and post as many times as fast as they can to get as many donations as possible. They never have any intention of donating anything back to anyone. It's soo annoying.

sk8tergirl5 is a serial skipper. She skipped me, ignored my pm and is on loads of blacklists for skipping others.

Yeah, but you don't exactly know when they're rich. I get mad at that too, when I see a lot of expensive items on their avatar, but if they just bought a coco (like i will be soon), or pengie slippers, then yeah, I can understand their lack of good donating.
But other times, they might be rich and greedy and don't want to share. domokun

Some have reasons for this (like their computer has gone wack, etc) but most don't, which gets me annoyed when they just skip on purpose.

i look "rich"...

but the reason why give low to certain people, is because i know they are probably greedy and would only give the minimum.

in my opion, the thread has kind of spun out of controle.
the idea behind it is really nice, but because of greed, its been ******** up.

personally, i would request a mod to lock it.
not to stop the game, but to take a time-out.
the thread did help alot of people, but its not suppose to hurt other well-doing gaians.

the problem is that it relies solely on the goodness of people, and the problem is that some people take advantage of that.
its also a reason why i always donate better to those i know who deserve to have there goodness repaid. i dont have that much gold, but certain users are worth giving 5K, even though i still believe they deserve more than that.

im sure there has been learned alot of this thread, that when started again, it will be much better.
first i really was impressed and raised my belief in nice gaians, but now its dwindling again.

It's a shame about the thread. In the end, though, there isn't much you can do, really...

But then again, that's why this guild was made in the first place!

I don't particularly care, myself. I've always perpetually got 1k, because I donate and donate and when I get low, I save so I can donate again! If people want to be misers, I just make a mental note and donate to the people who are nice and deserve it, or dish out a bit of "karma". xD

I agree with you wholeheartedly on this. I first started donating at the CB thread on June 12th, which was about two weeks after it's start up date. In the beginning things were great! I was handing out larger donations and getting about the same back in return. Then as time progressed, the greedy nOObs and skippers starting trickling in, posting without the intent to ever send a donation back. It was then that I started to get a feel for how people would donate and I started giving lower donations to those I knew gave little in return and I sent larger donations to those who donated high themselves. A few weeks ago the CB became unbearable after I was skipped ten times in a row, had four trades canceled on me and then got a nasty PM from someone because I didn't give them anything they demanded to get in their post. I've been lingering at the DTTPAY JR thread recently, and popping in here every now and then too.

Personally, I think the minimum donation needs to be raised at the CB thread once again. For the short time it was higher, I was skipped less often and the donations were much nicer. Now that it's back to 25 gold all the nOObs and skippers rushed back to take advantage of everyone again. That and I think the skippers need to be banned on their first offense, not after they've already skipped a variety of users over ten times. Maybe that would help weed out the nonsense over there.

Oh, lord. You couldn't COUNT the number of times I was skipped, also given below the donation min. I just blew it over and thought they made a mistake...
