Suyopa looked up at the sky from beneath the dark green leaves of the Aldanon tree. Pale flowers were beginning to blossom with the afternoon heat on their branches, making them seem more like overgrown flowers than trees. The whistling of birds echoed hauntingly from the branches, mixing with the dim whisper of priests as they went about their business. They never minded her being here, in fact they enjoyed her being here, for it brought birdsong to the silence. A Para jumped from the brush and trotted toward her. She heard it's thought as clear as if it were really speaking. "Hi Suyopa!" It called. "Seuni, you escaped from my father, didn't you?" She said, smiling. The creature let out a tinny bark. "Of course I did. I hate being tied to the door." It answered, before settling on her lap.
