Reichkovich foxboy-14 slowverdose Granted, there are things that science still has not solved, but just because we don't know dosen't proove creationism any more than the lack of evidence for creationism proves evolution. Creationists dont try to gain evidence for their own theories as much as they just pick at flaws in evolution. proove that every, or at least most try to pick at evolution, rather then evolutionist try to pick at creationism On this however, I actually do agree that most nit-pick at creationism rather than at evolution. Skeptics, evolutionists, and atheists can be an arrogant, patronizing bunch. But it's all fun.. At least for those not on the receiving end.Everybody does that to others; whether it's about politics, religion, or any other arguable position you can think of. The same can be said about socialism and capitalism; most people call me a Commie b*****d without knowing what socialism really is, and I call people capitalist-pigs without knowing their exact view on the matter. It's all in good fun though; for the most par, because I do, every once-and-awhile, have some random person call me a commie b*****d out of the blue.

True, however from my own observation I often find it's the groups stated before that are the most likely to make crude remarks towards ignorant religious folk.

foxboy-14 now i ask you why do you think so low of us? do you think that people are stupid because of their beliefs? i dont understand it, and yes sure i know there are more creationist that think lowly for you all, but what do you expect when creationist are the majorty? Quote: especially since I obvious think so little of creationists. I've never met you, but I already think low of you. Why? Because you cant even capitalize the first word in a sentence. Try harder to correct your grammar and people will respect you more.

Lime Green Snail I think lowly of your grammar skills...didn't God give you any? You know, generally speaking, I hate it when people respond to a comment with a single emote, but there is only one thing that I have to say to this. heart

foxboy-14 Redem foxboy-14 oh i believe in evoloution so does that make me a non creationist? i just belive god guided evolution and what not (god has one f'd up mind) Usually when using the term creationist it is simply short for young earth evolution deniers. By the literal meaning of the word, every religious person with a creator god is a creationist. But then the term simply becomes synonymous with religious, and loses meaning. By that definition many of our fellow guild-mates are also creationists. The guild deals only with the evolution deniers and their ilk. well i dont deny evolution Then you shouldn't be offended. This guild could be called "The anti people-who-blindly-think-that-evolution-isn't-real-and-everything-was-made-by-God-without-even-considering-the-possibility-that-he-guided-it-like-some-people-do Guild... but it would become a bit hard to remember and write it all, so it's just resumed as creationism. Here you can see catholics or christians who think that God made the world and evolution is real. I would give you a small explanation of that theory, but truly i havent fully read one of them, the last time i did was a long ago, so ask someone who really knows.

We find not necessarily CreationISTS, but CreationISM complete lunacy most of the time. We are rarely presented compelling or valid arguments, and we find it difficult to believe that anyone would believe what you believe so firmly. I say difficult and not impossible because there's the fear factor and the brainwashing factor that people who grow up in religious families and believe religious texts are subject to. That is understandable. We don't get why you don't grow out of it or why there is no room in your minds for anything else. There are views that meld evolutionism and theism together. Such as that god created the matter and natural processes took over from there, or that god assists evolution. We understandably find it annoying that most Creationists do not even understand the process of evolution or get facts horribly mixed up. When your facts are mixed up, the argument containing them is automatically trash. Unfortunately, there are some defending evolutionism who are guilty of the same, so it just irks us in general. We think low of your views, not of your person. Well, some probably think low of your person too. But I'm not defending them. Anyway, if you want to garner any level of respect as a worthy polemical opponent: 1) Make sure you've got your evolution facts straight. 2) Don't try to use the Bible as a valid source. It's not. We don't know its origin, the author(s) credentials, because there never will be a proven author. On a similar note, don't just throw out verses. If you HAVE to use one, fine, but put it in your own words as well and say how it's relevant to the topic. 3) Try to use proper grammar and spelling. Makes you look like you have some intellect, whether this happens to be true or not. 4) Keep it scientific. We aren't particularly inspired by "I just know God exists" Sorry, we're not.
