iol, explain your theory. And, I think we got lost on the Will topic, lets move to something else. Someone give me a recap of why not to bring the Veil down, I got mired down in the thread. Lol, it did get kind of messy, huh? Fun at times though!
My theory is that the Veil acts as a type of boundry between the physical, metaphysical, and astral realms. So there's technically more than one but its more...solid when its seperating the physical realm and the other realms. What this means is that while entities can pass through this boundry, most magic energy cannot. This is why we don't see things like fireballs and such. We can't do much with magic, regardless of how much we'd like to forget that fact.
Now, the Veil is not one uniform boundry. It can be weaker and stronger in certain areas. If its strong, than one might find it harder to find spirits or use magic. If the Veil is weaker, than there will be more spirits and magic will be found easier to use. Normally the Veil's weak spots are in isolated, natural areas. A stronger Veil is usually found in areas where there is a lot of urban civilization, but they can be found in another areas and are part of the reason why some areas are called 'Dead Zones' (little or no magical energy or spirits).
I could be wrong on this but I've done some hands-on experience, as it were. I used to live in a dead zone and after I moved to Washington, I found a lot of magic energy as well as a great deal of spirits. Further investigation showed several areas with a weaker boundry, or Veil.
