I would reeeeally like the Yondaime to be Naruto's dad, but I doubt it. Then again, maybe he is... Great, now I'm contradicting myself. rolleyes
I agree with Public Pervert that I don't like the Yondaime reincarnated idea- I think it's just too unbelievable. Sure, a lot of things point to that, but I doubt it.
And on another note, I'm still rooting for the Obito-Tobi thing. That'd be an awesome fight for Kakashi. One Sharingan each, ne?

Okay, I still don't know if Yondaime is Naruto's daddy, but look at all the similarities. Same hair, same crazy person smile, same cocky attitude, and the same determination. Naruto just has more potential to be greater.

C h i p p y He he.... what if we combine the Tobi = obito, the Yondaime = daddy, and Yondaime = leader sama theories? What if Tobi was Yondaime who was Naruto's father?! And OBTIO was Leader sama!?!?!?! NO ONE WOULD SEE THAT ONE COMING! Dang, that's worse than Darth Vadar being Luke's father in the end.

AzuKitsune C h i p p y Yondiame is just TOO obvious of a choice. Kishimoto would never do that... he wants to throw his fans a curveball. Make 'em think a bit more. Catch the ones who didn't figure it out by suprise.
Same goes with the Obito being Tobi theory. TOO obvious.
I think that Naruto's dad is not going to be revealed, or end up being someone you would NEVER EVER think of, or suddenly show up later. -angst- You're gonna make me cry, it's true that Kishimoto always want to throw his fans of course, but I will be so beyond pissed if Yondaime isn't Naruto's father.... I dunno if this counts as a hint that Naruto is Yondaime's kid or if it just means that Naruto is slowly surpassing the Fourth, but remember when he was training with Kakashi-sensei, trying to make the rasengan a bigger attack, Kakashi was watching Naruto train and he starts seeing Yondaime through him.... Doesn't that make you wonder what Kakashi was thinking? I agree with you.
The reincarnation thing is out because someone cannot be reincarnated while they're still alive.
But I also think that maybe since the villagers hated Naruto so much because he had the Kyuubi in him, they changed his last name, since he could have been Fourth Hokages son or relative. BECAUSE! The fourth hokages real name is Arashi Kazuma, or Kazuma Arashi[last name first]. I was bumed out when I found out. But I looked at the bright side! The Evil villagers theroy! ^ o ^
And don't ask me how I found out The Fourth Hokages name. I forgot how but remembered the name. It might be wrong but I'm sticking with it.

Well, the angry villager theory is good, but we must also think of the shinobi nations on a whole.
Remember that Yondaime was the hero of the shinobi war, so he's going to have a LOT of enemies, not just within the village.
But, the angry villager theory is still a good one.

Naruto's daddy has been revealed already. It's Yondaime. I know his last is Namikaze but Naruto's mom's last name is Uzumaki. I think the reason why Naruto's last name is Uzumaki instead of Namikaze is that probably after Naruto was born when the Fox attacked Konoha Naruto's mom Kushina was killed by the Fox and that made Minato upset. So he gave Naruto his mother's name instead of his as a memoir of her. Being that Naruto is the only he had left of her. Now to main point of this topic. The reason they haven't told Naruto who his daddy is because if Naruto knew that the person responsible for the Fox inside him was his father that might grow to hate his father without knowing the reason why he did that. I think they should make an episode like that But instead of Naruto hating his father but more like searching for the reason Minato sealed the Fox inside him and while they tell, he believes that what they tell isn't the truth or at least the whole truth so he goes off to search for the truth alone. When Hinnata sees how upset he is she would follow him in order to comfort and help him find the answer. In this time they make a strong bond that Naruto will find out that Hinata has loved him since their academy years and that he was Hinata's life force. On their way to find the answer they will encounter a lot of traps which one of them will leave them in a tight situation. And encounter an enemy that seems impossible to defeat while Naruto tries to defeat this new enemy Hinata is left their to watch her beloved to suffer by this person's hands. Hinata enraged unleashes her full potential and saves Naruto from the mad person. while they stare in each others eyes Hinata gets stabbed in the back causing Naruto to lose control and go berserk on the guy. before has a chance to kill him Hinata tells Naruto to stop and to spare the man's life Naruto goes towards Hinata in hopes a keeping her alive when all of a sudden a blinding light shines from above and their you see Minato. He greets Naruto introducing himself and telling him why he sealed the Fox inside him and also tells Naruto that there is a way to save Hinata. He has put his hand in Hinata's palm and transfer some of the demon fox's chakra and a little bit of his own to Hinata. Causing Hinata's wounds to heal up after the process is done Yondaime introduces Naruto to his mother Kushina, Naruto has his final words with parents before they set off in the blinding light and to never be seen again. After a while Hinata wakes up to find Naruto near the brink of death lying on the ground. Hinata goes closer to Naruto in hoping that he is still alive. To find that his Life force is almost over Hinata then starts crying holding Naruto in her hands. Then the first hikages necklace starts glowing and Naruto is then ingolved in a glowing light that is restoring his life force. Hinata is staring at the light to see all the Hokages faces staring at her back and then Minato comes out of the light telling Hinata that he will be alright and that she has nothing to worry. Hinata is then relieved and Minato disappears in the light and Naruto stops glowing and slowly waking up. Hinata holds him tight in her arms. Telling him that she loves him and that she doesn't want to lose him ever again. and then they go to the village and lead a peacefull live until one day Hinata has child Naruto's child and Naruto is the new hokage. THE END!

Yeah, his parents have already been revealed, or his mother for sure. Kishimoto-san just wants to screw with us a little more before he reveals it offically. In the manga, Tsunade and the Toad sage talk about Naruto's parents. Both discuse that Naruto (they never say Naruto's name) looks like his father, but fights and acts like his mother. There, they reveal the name real name of the 4th Hokage and the name of Naruto's mother, who was from the Whirlpool Village.
Now here is my theory:
Both the 4th and Naruto's mom were prepearing for a marage and all that good stuff and would have the village know the news after everything was done (Naruto would be pretty close to being born... Premarital smex and pregnancy... The 4th always stuck me as the kind that would say "I am NOT worth the wait! LOL!"). Naruto was born before the wedding and she ends up dieing in child birth since they never discussed how she died.
Obviously the elders wouldn't want the image of the Hokage to be tarnished. I mean, people tend to think down on those who have children who have never been married. On top of that, the Hokage is supposed to be some sort of role modle and having a child before marrage tends to bring down the good role modle statuse. So to keep Naruto's identity, they gave him his mother's maiden name just so they could keep that little secret under wraps until it would be later revealed.
Well, then the kyuubi attacks and we all know what happens from there.
An other theory:
Because of the manga mentioning the 4th's involvence with Naruto's mother, perhapes that is simply how the 4th has a conection to Naruto. Through Naruto's mother. They both are ninja, and obviously ninja have to deal with life and death missions. Perhapes they were both more as the occasional quick shag. And maybe somebody eles is Naruto's dady... Oh Orochimaru!!!!!!! lol, jk.

The thing Kishimoto did was he made Minato Namikaze(Yondaime) the obvious just to throw everybody way of course and then surprise with the obvious choice being the one. That's what Kishimoto did and it worked. I also thought that Yondaime was the obvious choice so I went to do some research on who can be his parents. Then it hit me, why would anyone seal a demon in somebody else's child but you're own?. Then I came to the conclusion that there was nobody but Minato could be his father. And I bet they were going to declare that Naruto was Yondaime's son, but they saw how much of a hatred they had for Naruto just for having the Fox sealed inside him. If people knew that their hero was the father of a demon possessed child it would shame his name. So they didn't want that to happen, so they kept it a secret even from Naruto. Because if Naruto knew he would probably go blab it out and make everything worse for himself and his father's name.

Some people would have something done to an other person's child than their own simply because they want to protect their family and child. While others would have their child go through such an ordeal because they don't want an other family to go through it.
It really is more of selfish selfless questioon. The selfish choice here is if the father put the kuubi in an other child. The selfless act would be placing the demon into his own fruit of the loin (That is one of my favorit words. Not often used but should be... Almost like glibe.)

He seems like the kind that wouldn't make another family go through such an ordeal. That's the part of his character I like the most. But I don't think he was enticipating that the villagers would end up hating Naruto. And to protect Minato's name the Third did not tell anybody who the child belonged to. But not only to protect Minato but also to protect Naruto as well.
