Weee, I just got back from being inducted into NAHS at my school! It makes me so very happy, because its a lot of fun being in that club, and a lot of the people are really awesome. I had a good time at the little ceramony, theres probably about 40-50(though like... 25 or less show up at meetings) students in NAHS at my school, of about 1400 students in the school.
So, have any of you had your if not just NAHS club experiences, but any art club experiences?
;D

Well, I was in an art club once in middle school. But it was very small and we didn't do much. I got this huge sketchbook to take home, though.
Still, I'm not even close to ever being in an honor society. Congrats! =D

So sad, my high school doesn't have that. ;_;
We DO have an art club though but I dropped out after the first few months because I was busy with other activities. But it was fun though. :]

I was in an NAHS club when I was in high school. The girls in the club were really nice (for some reason, there weren't any guys).
We would do stuff like paint the huge windows at McDonalds in a theme to match whatever holiday was coming up.
After a while, though, the teacher stopped running the club. I wonder what happened? Even though I'm not a student there any more, there should be that opportunity available to the students...

Theres like... 5 guys in it. And one of them is President surprised Only two show up on a regular basis though rofl Yeah, we've got plans to pain murals on parts of the school this year! :3 (Though... we do talk a lot and don't usually get stuff done! xD ) The teacher who used to run it retired, so it was very close to being shut down. But two other art teachers decided to continue it. biggrin

I was a member of NAHS in high school. Definately worth it, so much fun! That's where I "discovered" the band Queen. So sad how sheltered I was sweatdrop . But we painted alot of murals in all the hallways. Awesome! Haven't been home in nearly two years, but it's nice to know they're there. My crush joined the organization later, but now he's living my life. Always wanted to be an architect, but joined the Air Force. And he's finishing fall semester of his junior year at my dream school! crying

I've never been able to join an NAHS at any of the schools I attended but I attended a high school and Florida and had several of my art works featured in the schools art gallery. Turns out there was a new McDonalds location opening up and they were impressed with some of my work and contacted my art teacher and I was asked to do several abstract oil pastel paintings for their new store. I was given a color scheme to follow and from there produced I can't remember if it was 6 or 7 paintings for them following those colors. That was a lot of fun too!
I wish I could do it again. That was 3 years ago though. I was a sophmore in high school at the time.
