I have an urge to put it in my signature ;D But I won't, because I refuse to go look at it. Just hearing about those things make me feel woozy. I'm going to go watch the My Little Pony movie now ;o; [demons don't like My Little Pony, remember this! XD]

i honestly dont feel anything negative after looking at that,i feel the way i did before
maybe its a psychological reaction to the scene depicted in the painting(if it scares you i mean)

If that painting wasn't haunted, I would gladly bid on it. It's really interesting, I love surreal art. I also checked out the artist's website--he has some pretty cool stuff!
Thanks for posting! That gave me the chils O_O

"The strange light on the painting as seen in the pictures displayed on Ebay.com. could have been achieved by various camera tricks or just by shining a red light on the painting. Very simply done. NO the painting is not genuinely haunted."
This one sentence on that page makes me very skeptical. :/
I read the artist's statement as well. He painted it with very clear intent. The child is himself and the doll his guide through dreams.
Now, it's an artist's job to invoke or create strong emotional reactions with their work. Plus, it is no wonder that the aesthetic used here would creep out small children. Often when it comes to painting a human figure with eyes that are void people will automatically tend to feel uneasy when looking at it because it is through the eyes that we identify with the figure. They are usually the first place you look. To be met with black-ness throws your perception off kilter. (This is what I have learned from years of being an art major.)
Now, we don't know the entire history that the painting has endured. Maybe something tragic did occur to someone who had the painting in their possession. We really can never know. But the information provided and the pictures, I don't find, to pull together a successful argument.

Despite the various interpretations of this particular...entity, or painting, I don't know if I'm keen on viewing it at the moment. D| should I...?

I looked at it. Nothing. I stopped looking at it. BAM! My brother gets home from work bearing freshly made stuffed crust pizza with mushrooms on it. Can you say instant bliss? If that was from the painting I want that painting D:<
But really. I have seen haunted paintings and I own two possessed dolls. I also own a doll that a girl spirit is attached to but does not possess. I <3 my dolls and they have taken it upon themselves to help protect mah house. Is nice, yes? I think some of possessed dolls are bad but I think there are probably a lot of nice ones. Same with paintings. Can't say anything about this one though. Maybe if I saw it personally?
