I am a 2004 alumni for Foss and am still shocked about the shooting. I am apalled by what some have said about the shootings in the Tacoma paper's blog:
http://community.thenewstribune.com/?q=node/7880 Foss is a school full of diversity- it is actually one of the most diverse schools in the nation. The instructors are also fabulous. Though I visited on a college project observing high school culture- I could see that the students were out of control. I also have friends that were in the ROTC room that is right next to where the student was killed- one who actually saw him shot. I feel for both families and as well as students and friends who witnessed or knew both students. It will forever change the school- but I hope it won't destroy its reputation- it is not the school's fault- as well as the victim's. No one asks to be shot!
