I was thinking that I would start a book where you meet characters with normal names (mary, john, beth and etc.) and also meet characters with weapon names like ax, arrow, lance, and etc. Now I will never actually tell you who is who ( beth is arrow for example) So every chapter will alternate. I kinda got the idea cuz how people are at work for example is usually different than how they are at home. So the two different names represents the different aspects of their life. So do y'all think its interesting, cheesey, or too complicated. Candor is refreshing.

I guess it all depends on how you handle the story.

sounds interesting, though it also helps to see how you handle the story and it's flow. Other then that I think it'll be pretty good

It's a great idea, interesting and unique, but hard to pull off. A slip up, a mistake in flow, the story moves too fast, too complicated, or too simple and challenging can kill the whole story. So be careful, ne? Other than that, go for it!

I tried writing an alternating-perspective-alternating-chapters story, and finally gave up. I'm converting it into a webcomic.

Like most people say, it sounds like it would be very interesting. It would be awesome if you could do it though. Those kinds of stories tend to lose people, because they get so confusing... So you'd have to be careful.

I think it might be confusing at first, but if the story was interesting enough, and you eventually worked the story around until people could figure out that they were 'day and night' version it could be very good.
The idea of making it a comic is a cool, too. It would make it (possibly a lot) easier for the reader/viewer to figure things out.

It could work...
Try writing it down and see if it works.
