I play the tuba/sousaphone.
I'm not sure where to find Legend of the Dragon Kings, it came out almost ten years ago, and my dad got it for me for christmas. (the entire box set!) It's about four brothers in japan who find out that their family descended from dragons. EDIT: My dad found it at a little movie store that was going out of business.

Wordstreamer~Nifty Fairy~ Serenity was lovely. heart I haven't seen Firefly yet, although I want to....... My favorite series is definitely Buffy. Or possibly Angel. The plot twists (although some were kind of predictable, and some were kind of pointless seeming) were almost always fun, and the dialogue was good, and the entire thing was just great. Well you should like Firefly then since Joss Whedon made it as well as Serenity, Buffy, and Angel! xd

Anyone here who enjoyed Serenity should watch Blake's 7. The former is a complete rip-off of the latter. B7 was absolutely brilliant. Fake, yes (it was made in the 70's, give it a chance), but absolutely brilliant all the same.

Favorite Movies at the moment:
The Holiday. One of the best soundtracks as well as love stories I've ever seen!
Equilibrium. Like Sci-Fi? You will fall over for this movie.
Boondock saints. Hot Irish boys with guns. Yay!
Howls Moving Castle. Best anime movie by far.
Series:
Firefly. So freaking amazing. I can't believe they canceled it! Roar!
BIg Love: There is nothing more interesting than poligamists.
Edit: Whoops! I forgot we were supposed to mention one thing someone else did.
Someone said Inuyasha. ...I'm sorry, but that was one of the WORST anime series I've ever seen. The manga is brilliant, but the anime made me want to goudge both my eyes and ears out.

TV Never heard of Numb3rs. HAVE heard of, and seen, Legend of the Dragon Kings, and liked it. I like most of the rest of the series discussed. House is a hoot sometimes, but he can get on my nerves if I'm not in the right mood. Way too arrogant.
Loved Buffy and Angel both. Some weren't as well written as others, but they put a lot of effort into creating a mythos and sticking with it. Gotta respect that. And the episodes went from hilarious to moving and back again without seeming contrived. (OK, first season Angel needed some more help, but most first seasons are rough.)
Firefly (and Serenity) were both awesome. A semi-realistic future frontier, complete with Big Brother and the robber barons remade. Excellent casting. I don't normally swing that way, but the courtesan was GORGEOUS. Smart, funny, etc. Gonna have to IMDB her and see what else she was in...
Stargate (SG1 and Atlantis) are quite good, especially given the lifespan. And switching networks. The leap from Showtime to SFC tamed SG1 a bit but not much, thankfully. Worth stockpiling. I am slowly buying the boxed sets.
Here's one no one has mentioned yet: Farscape (series and TV movie/mini-series) was quite good. Good plots, good writing, great actors--so many hot guys! oh, and good looking chicks as well. In fact, both leads went on to work on SG1 for a couple of seasons.
MOVIES City of Angels was REALLY good. I cry every time I think about the movie. I love the way they portray angels.
Serenity, as I mentioned above, I liked. Cried for Wash. Gonna have to watch that again real soon...
As for my fave movie, I have to go with the classic: Blade Runner. Great soundtrack, excellent effects, wonderful story, awesome actors (and young Rutger was SUCH a hottie!), and some of the best lines--not just the jokes, either. "...All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain..." Beautiful.

Okay- I'm advocating a FANTASTIC series here. It's a show called Heroes. I was wary about it at first, then I began watching it on G4- and it is amazing, no normal drama that. It's so cool! It's about an emerging gene that give x-men like powers and the people with this gene have all these problems, namely New York blowing up, a psycho serial murder out for their powers, and family problems. If you're still unintersted, just give the first episode a chance- I've already addicted my mother and friend to it. You can find it on YouTube. And now- my book series to offer to you: The Sevenwaters Trilogy. Beautiful, positively beautiful.
