I listen to Rammstein. And T.A.T.U. In the same song... (Mein herz brennt or "My heart burns). I like Rammstein, Disturbed, Linkin park, Breaking benjamin- pretty mainstream (although I have a friend who believes Rammstein is just Satan singing in german). I also listen to Queen, quite often, but i don't consider my taste to be too unusual...

PrincessMelissa I like classic rock, ska, swing music, and... well, I guess you can call it "angry girl" music, since I have no idea what genres they're in: I like Alanis Morissette, Avril Lavigne, and Melissa Ethridge. I also like Jewel and Hanson (yes, Hanson)... the occasional bit of pop, and Garth Brooks. eek Yup, I love Garth Brooks. He's the only male country singer I like, though. There's something about his voice that's really different. I haven't heard much of Lee Ann Rimes' work, but I love her rendition of "The Rose." I might also like Sum 41 (though their songs take some getting used to... I only own one of their albums, "Does This Look Infected?" I also like people who sing song parodies, like Dr. Demento or Weird Al Yankovich. And maybe some Japanese songs. So, basically, I listen to anything that sounds good. I typically can't stand songs with excessive swearing, or songs about girls who treat boys badly (or vice-versa), or drug abuse, or over-the-top "gangsta" BS. Aaaaaand... that's it. sweatdrop Hanson? Hey I remember them! Well I think I do...those three brothers right? Good times, good times...I loved the 90's. Who can forget 'Mm-bop'?

I'm different. I love most types of Electronic Music, Progesssive Rock, Anime music, some classical, Darkwave, NewWave (80's Style), Alt. Rock and Classic Rock, a bit of Folk, plus a bunch of other stuff too obscure to list here. I hate metal, Hip-Hop, R&B and Rap, and most of the current Top 40 is really bad. My LaunchCast Station would tell you a lot about me.

Phantom of the Opera (preferrably the Original cast, the Musicals are the best) Actual Opera (I prefer Baritones if anything), Very, VERY Light Rock, sappy love songs, popish rock (again, it HAS to be light) and a dash of Nightwish, with a couple songs of Evanescence should tell you something!

As far as I'm concerned the only 'weird' taste in music is Rap and Hip-hop, mainly cause that's not even music in my mind, just irritating noise.
I listen to all sorts though I tend to gravitate towards rock and melodic metal. I've also discovered I like techno sounds and synthpop.

I agree, I cannot stand rapping and hiphopping... the music is very annoying, makes no sense, and you cannot even understand the words! But I'm not much of a rock or metal person either...

Most people don't really like the music I like.
I like a lot of experimental and alternative bands, like Radiohead and The Velvet Underground. Though, I also like folk music and punk. 3nodding
I'm not really a huge fan of hard rock or metal, but I find some of it tolerable.

Oh, I definitely have odd tastes in music. Or, if not odd, at least unusual or notably different from what the majority of the world listens to.
You see, I'm all about the obscure psych-folk and the glamrock. For instance, Sagittarius, Pearls Before Swine, Tomorrow, Clear Light, The Ark, Rachel Stamp, Robin Black, and anything by Marc Bolan/Tyrannosaurus Rex/T. Rex.

I listen to pretty much anything that isn't rap. I don't see how ANYONE could like rap, yet somehow it's the world's most popular music genre now.

Well, I for one like hip hop and rap. I've liked it since I was an elementary kid, so maybe it's because it's already deeply embedded into my mind. NWA and Xzibit are, in fact, my favorite groups. Snoop Dogg, Chingy, Lil Jon and all these dudes are what I know as "d**k rap": they keep constantly blabbering about sex. And while I know this is acceptable in a rap song, overdoing it can really make something suck.
As for the rest of the music I like, it's mostly heavy, black or power metal, and techno music. Especially if it's something deep and heavy, like gabber or trance. It makes me feel like stepping on it in my Sunfire on the beltway, all the way to the 176 km/h.

I like a lot of rock bands that almost no one's heard of: Coheed and Cambria, Dragonforce, and Psychostick, to name a few. They're actually fairly famous, but not too well-known here in Massachusetts, as far as I've noticed. I also like orchestral soundtrack music, for some reason...
