The other day I was sitting in orchestra practice, when it occured to me that, in fact, I respond most to the aural aspects of the world around me and, in fact, feel some of the greatest emotional arousal by certain musical arts. Even with people, I relate best to those whose voice I am accustomed to hearing, and hearing the voice of someone I care for can often make me feel more comfortable and natural, or, in the proper circumstances, sexually aroused. The same arousal can come about in certain particular passionate sections of music.
So, my question for the rest of you is, do you have any specific sense that you respond to most strongly, or is there a necessary mix of sense, or, is your respons to things not fully dependant on any given sense.

As a writer, its my duty to know what certain sensations are like, so I take note of everything, from the way a person smiles, to how a person grabs at something, and so on, and so forth. And I would also say my sense of hearing is strong, since I seem to be more rhythmically inclined, and flow better to a beat. That is, if my brothers wedding was any indication. @w@

My arousal tends to be most dependant on sight. I can't say "look into my eyes" in that creepy vampire-like way and not be interested in seeing theirs, right? :3nod
It's not exactly the most logical explenation, but I've always found that when it comes to arousal, appearance - i.e. vision - matters. One simply doesn't get as interested if they don't see their ideal. AT least, that's my thought.
When it comes to many other emotions, however, I tend to rely more on hearing. It's an unusual case, for sure... I guess it's just another of those idiosyncracies that stand about me razz

Actually, it's my nose that really gets me.
If someone smells "right" (can't explain it much better than that) then I feel safe and happy. I can also smell "danger" and "sadness"....they're kind of abstract but they're very pungent and distinct.
Scent is more important to me than anything else, because even if a rose looks pretty, if the stink is awful, I'd rather not look at it.

ORAL! 4laugh
Now that that's out of the way, I could quite possibly say that touch is the one that gets me. Sure, there's the smell of the significant othe or even the sight of them in some sort of sexy lingerie, but a silent touch in the right spot and *POW*. Jabbed in the eye.

Yeah, even though sound plays a major factor for me, it's not the absolute-only thing that I can relate to. It probably goes in this order:
Aural (I have to say it this way. xp ) Taste/scent Tactile Visual
With certain, immeasurable qualities, probably right under sound. It is again, in part, a matter of "feeling right" around certain qualities, as Oni mentioned.
But, I definitely can't stand it when people blast loud music from speakers or shout at the top of their lungs in loud groups, or when they overdose on the perfume. I don't always touch people that often, so I can't really specify something I can't stand in that regard. But, generally, I prefer it when people sound/smell/feel/look like real people and real things, and not an attempt to idealize into something that doesn't exist, or to be formed falsely. That didn't make sense. I'm tired. *yawns*

I'd have to say that I am most aroused by touch. Like when you are cuddling with the one you love, you can feel their warmth right next to you and it is quite soothing. I'm also quite aroused by biting.... it brings you closer to that person, both physically and emotionally. Tickling can get me as well, but only in the right atmosphere and mood.

I love reading it. If I read it through text, or book or anything that is when i think I become most aroused. >.> I dunno nothing else really doesit for me...I mean sure guys do and stuff. But It is more erotic for me in words.
sometimes I have the hardest time getting in the mood with my boyfriend, but if I read something it is like BAM! in yo face! melt into a pile of goo and lap me up you big dog. ^__^ yea..

Seeing or reading something can set me off just about as well as hearing it can, however I tend to strain close to a mixture of both hearing and seeing something, with touch, smell, and taste coming in at last.
Perhaps it goes back to my love of many different types of music, but if I hear a beautiful tune or the voice of a young singer it can send chills down my body and stop me in my tracks. It can be anything from a laugh or a moan, or perhaps just familiar words spoken by a familiar voice I haven't heard in a long time that makes me feel peaceful and attracted to that moment.
I respond to touch more often, but it's only due to the aggrivating state of being a man and having vibrations or the right stance/pose make being near people very awkward.

A combination of touch, visual stimulation, and aural stimulation.
Oh, and smelling. Because sometimes guys smell really really good.
