Baritones rule all!

Yesh, I play baritone xd

But I think you should go with whatever the band needs more. Since there are no baritone, go with baritone.

I'm thinkin' baritone so atleast there is one from the sounds of it there are atleast a few Bass Drummers. Besides Drummers are a dime a dozen (Please don't yell at me for saying that but it is true besides I do play percussion.) There are alot fewer Baritone players so it you want a solo later on You'll hae better chances.

i'd go for the baritone...there is none in that section so the baritone is always more needed than the bass drum.

If you have no more baritones and a little bit of bass drummers, I would go with Baritones. One is better then none.

go for baritone because the drumline instructors could write music for how many basses there are and they would probably put some of the pit in bass and the new freshmen as pit to compensate for the basses. thats what they do in my band.
brass is the heart of the band

i personally think you should do the percussion because if you only have one of an instrument in a lg. orchestra/ band/ (whatever) you usually cant hear it.

As a Baritone player I say go with the baritone, but really ask your band director, since I don't know your instrumentation or playing skill they can make a better decision on whether having a normal skilled baritone player is worth it

I was the only baritone player for two years in a row in middle school (Ok well there was one other but she wasn't there for our spring trip or middle school marching band) and I forced my self to get better, and had 1 song that was mainly for the baritone

take the baritone. you'll be guaranteed solo opportunities that way.
