Rachel sat there for a moment longer, grinding her teeth while in thought. Of course she didn't want Rhys arrested, she had just risked her life to help him. She faintly knew that this would not the only reason. "Fine." She said quietly, her words were full of anger and defeat. "I'll go." She stood and left the room closing the door behind her and then leaned against the wall next to the door. She noticed however that the door did not close all the way. Still annoyed Rachel decided that she was going to eavesdrop on their conversation, knowing full well that Rhys would most likely not tell her what Braden was going to say.

Braden walks over to Rhys' side. He sits in the chair that was by the window and looks over at the injured boy.

"You know, sometimes you act so young. Then other times you act older then you are." Braden states.

"Shut up with the small talk. I haven't made my dissection yet, so if that is what you want your not going to get it." Rhys didn't understand why the detective didn't just get to the point.

"Why so mad right now, your alive aren't you?" Braden asks, as if avoiding what he was going to have to say. It made Rhys thing about what Harris had said.

"Why did he say you made him a deal?" Rhys stated as if Braden had been there.

"That was two years ago." Braden simply replies.

"Then why haven't you put him back in prison yet?" Rhys demands.

"I can't, not until I find who he is working for."

"You know don't you?" Rhys clinches his hands a little.

"Yes, for over a year now."

"Then what is taking you so god damn long to get the guy? How is he?" Rhys was still demanding every question, as if he was the one with the upper hand in the situation.

"He isn't an easy man to find, and his name is Manic Santos." Braden looks out the window seeing the rain begin to fall.

"Manic was a Santos?" Rhys is a little stunned, that was his mother's madden name.

"Who much do you know about him?" A large raindrop catches Braden's eye as it slowly makes it's way down the glass.

"He killed my grandfather and was hired by my grandfather to kill Ferris." Rhys had no trouble taking about it. Everyone pretty much knows those facts if the know anything about the mob.

"He also was having an affair with Courtney. She was the one that hired him to kill Vito." Rhys looks at Braden, he wasn't that surprised. It was always assumed that she was the one behind Vito's death. For some reason though, it was a little odd that she was having an affair.

"You still haven't answered my question, was Manic a Santos?" Rhys repeats, a bit of annoyance in his voice.

"As in related to your mother? Yes. He had two children, Maria and Kelly. Twins." Braden turn his head so he was looking at Rhys again.

"You trying to tell me Manic if my grandfather? That's a load of crap. My mother didn't have a sister. Her father died when she was a baby." Rhys tries to sit up, but the antibiotics and painkillers make him too week to do much of anything. He is even having some trouble just staying awake.

"You think I'm lying?" Braden stands anger in his voice. "I know this is true, I have been doing a lot of research on Manic and Mathue these last few years."

"Then your research is wrong!" Rhys yells.

"Most of what I know has been told to me by Maria, I trust her!" Braden snaps a little, but then calms himself, sitting down again. "Your mother never died giving birth, Kelly did." Rhys is too tired to react the way he wants to. What was Braden trying to do? He was lying; he had to be.

"Don't ******** insult me by thinking I would believe these lies." Rhys shouts.

"I told you, I am not lying. Manic used his daughters to get to Mathue. He was trying to get some control over him. When he found out Mathue was the reason Courtney was killed, he told Maria to kill him. You had already been born by then. Maria refused and left. She was going to get Kelly to send you when she found safe place to hide, but Kelly betrayed her. Kelly had always been jealous and wanted Mathue for herself, this was her chance. She acted like Maria, almost perfectly. I am unsure of the details after that. From what I could tell, Manic found out how much Mathue truly cared for Maria. He let Kelly play her game. I have proof that Kelly had sent a letter telling Manic she was going to let Mathue everything. After Joyce was born there was never an official autopsy preformed, but I have the records of the one they did and I've done a DNA test on her remains. She was Kelly and not Maria. Also, the shock that caused her death could not have been caused by birth, she had to have been poisoned." Braden looks the door, he walks over to it the before he was all the way there he turns and looks at Rhys.

This all was so much for Rhys; along with the drugs he wasn't able to think straight. More lies... Why was so much of his life filled with lies? The fact his mother was still alive had not sunk in yet.

"Rhys, I want to help you. So does Maria. But nothing can be safe for you, or Rachel for that matter, until we stop three people."

"Three?" Rhys almost whispers. His mind lingering on the fact that Monty, Christy, Joyce, they aren't his full sisters. Did his father know this?

"Mathue, Manic and whoever is leading an evangelist group that was founded by Janrith Mao." He said every man's name as if he was talking about the devil himself, pure hatred in his voice. He turns and walks out, headed straight for the exit forgetting the reason he had originally been at the clinic.

Rhys was having trouble taking everything in.

"Maria's alive?" He whispers, it sounded more like a plea then a question.

Ignoring the e-mail from her parents, Calista pulled on her gloves and choose a long black jacket instead of getting yet another one of her sweaters dirty. Slipping it on over her top, careful to avoid hooking any of her stitches, she grabbed her bag and slammed the door as she left. This time it latched.

After locking the door and going down the elevator, she glanced out the front window of the building, hidden by the curtain. There was no sign of Edward's car on the street. Heading for the door, she pulled back just in time as the dark car casually drove past. Waiting until it slowly crept around the next corner, knowing full well that Edward would drive back this way in but a few minutes. Slipping outside, she shut the door behind her and dashed down the road, not pausing or slowing her pace until she had finished running through an intricate maze of streets and alleyways. Pausing to catch her breath, unused to such strenious activities, Calista sighed.

This was insane. There was no way she would be able to keep this up if she was ordered to leave the building again, and she still couldn't get over Mathue's response. It wasn't like him to act like that, at least not to her knowledge. And besides, what did he expect her to do anyway? Her job was to clear away unwanted information on the web, not deal with random gangs and thugs. Growling in flustraition, she finally caught her breath and headed to the hospital.

After being asked numerous questions by the staff that seemed to have nothing better to do then pester her, Calista began to wonder where her sanity had flown to. By the time she snapped out of her thoughts, the nurses had come to the conclusion that she did need to have a check-up and pointed her in the direction of the waiting room.

Nursing a throbbing arm, sore from the run, and now a throbbing headache, she sat down in one of the hard chairs that cluttered the room. Closing her eyes, she tried to relax. The hum of the floresent lights and the quiet murmmer of two people having a conversation in a near-by room echoed inside her head. Wishing she had some pain killers on her, knowing full well that the doctors here probably planned on giving her some after telling her that she was fine and that she could go home.

She just felt like crying, but was having a hard time remembering how.

Rachel had just sat there for a moment after over hearing the news about Rhys' mother. Not really sure why, Rachel headed back into the room, the last place she wanted to be at all. Sitting back in the chair with a sigh, she felt like she should be mean to him, be herself, but she couldn't. Rachel just sat there quietly, staring at the corner of Rhys' bed. She was just going to pretend she knew noting. She also told herself firmly that if he did tell her then she would still say nothing. What would I say? she thought. What is there to say to somthing like that?

"It's a lie," Rhys whispers as Rachel walks in. He looks at her for only a moment then just stares up at the ceiling.

"Rachel. I want you to go look something up for me. I need birth records. I want to know if there was even someone born with the name Kelly Santos." After says this he closes his eyes. It was pointless right now with out confused he was to fight the painkillers any longer.

After what seems like an eternity, Marcus grabs Lynn, and begins to walk toward the apartment building. Taking the stairs up, he takes her to her room, and then walks to his own. "Who where those people, and why was Calista with them?" He thought to himself, as he went to the fridge to make himself a sandwhich.
