doc.hyphae The_Winter_Wolf Funk you say? Chameleon, Watermelon man (the funk version), and some of Herbie's stuff on the CD "Thrust" is a good place to start. That and Return to Forever in their album "No Mystery". thanks, man! i'll look into those. biggrin Are you arranging or transcribing for your band?

i just got three good jazz albums yesterday: Herbie Hancock's Ken Burns Jazz CD, Chic Corea and Return to Forever's Light as a Feather, and Cannonball Adderley's Spontaneous Combustion. they're all awesome. thank you to those people who suggested albums and songs to me.

i shoud have gotten Maiden Voyage when i had the chance. instead i got Herbie Hancock vol. 11 of Jamie Aebersold, but i like that, too.
