I'm not really sure that the characters are all that important. We never really hear about Sir again 'til TPP and he doesn't say or do all that much. His part could just be pawned off on another former gaurdian. 'Course I seriously doubt they'd ever get that far with the films. I mean, we probably won't get a second film never mind a fourthish one. Personally, I think they should have made the books into a mini-series (like Narnia BBC style). I know that isn't quite as glamourous or high-grossing as a feature film, but it would have made more sense logistically.

I think the reason the MM is in the series at all is because of 2 things:
1) The wood that all the VFD buildings are made out of came from Luckysmells (i think...feel free to tell me i'm wrong, i don't have the books w/ me at college so i can't check).
2) There's a connection between Sir and the Baudelaires and bad childhoods. And if you've noticed, all the of guardians so far have been related to VFD. Maybe Sir was a member of VFD, and he got kidnapped and then his home and family were set aflame. We could see more of an explination if Sir survived TPP. (again, I could be wrong, feel free to correct or point out flaws in my logic)

Yeah, I guess your right. But the wood thing isn't super important. I mean, they could always say that's where the wood came from, even if the children never visited there. I mean, I don't care where the materials came from that built my house, but that's just me. Sir better have an amazing part to play in #13, otherwise I'll be ticked; I suffered through TMM for nothing...

goldenfairy23 I think it's pretty obvious that they're not going to make another movie... xd How so? I wouldn't write it off. There was, what, seven years between 'The Mask of Zorro' and its sequel? Four between the Pirates of the Carribbean movies. Star Wars had more than a decade between its last movie and those prequels. No, I say until someone officially announces there aren't going to be any more movies or someone of authority explains why there won't be another one, the window is still open.

Silverah probably. Like Scar in the lion king! He fell off a cliff! but wait... the sequel kind of screwed that up... the sequel to the lion king made very little sense... It was basically romeo and juliet... sweatdrop Interesting, as the first one was unquestionably HAMLET. But I avoid Disney sequals like the plague (except Toy Story 2) so I've never seen it. But anyway, back to the Miserable Mill. If they do in fact make the rest of the books into movies I doubt they will take much out (if they know what's good for them!). It is a dark series.

Yeah, I hate sequals too. They drive me mad (apart from Toy Story 2)! mad They had better not change any more, some of the plot could be missing! xp

Chamaya And anyway, KLAUS CAN SEE WITHOUT HIS GLASSES so they can't make the 4th book into a movie anyway, unless Klaus suddenly get acid poured into his eyes and is blinded. Or something. And Movie Klaus was much too hawt. It disturbed me. And yet excited me. Agreen in both accounts. I'm not into younger men, but I could SOOO make an exception for him. xd
