He is passionate about becoming a ranger, so much so that he dresses up like one and is eager to try and help out whenever he can with pokemon. Always means well. Can be rather naiive and gullible, however. Still thinks cooties are a thing.
History: Born and raised in Solaceon Town, he often caused trouble for his parents. That's not to say that he wasn't still absolutely adored, however. His scoldings were far and few between, but always had important meaning. They gave him space to learn from mistakes, and still tended to him when he got hurt. Sure, it did concern them how often he'd come home with scrapes and bruises from his 'adventures', but he was never doing anything that was outright bad.
Riley picked up on idolizing pokemon rangers one day, watching some of them in town help reign in some tauros that got loose from the ranch nearby. From then on, his favorite thing to watch was pokemon rangers, and he even made believe he was one. His parents, though appropriately concerned, figured it couldn't hurt to encourage him in this endeavor. His mother made him his ranger outfit just the way he wanted. His dad, knowing that there would likely be a need for it, went out to bring back a pokemon to assist with any injuries his reckless son might get.
As he reached the age of 12, Riley begged his parents to let him go on a ranger adventure. For the first time, they both wanted to say no outright. It was a big world out there, and there were a lot more dangers than what he's experienced in Solaceon. They ultimately asked for some time to answer. They deliberated amongst themselves and a few days later, they finally told Riley he could go. However, he would have to bring the family Audino along with him. Riley was ecstatic to hear this, not even bothered that he would have to have the audino tag along. It was time for his own big adventure! What pokemon will he meet? Will he be able to make friends?
