So umm question. With the Firecrackers, with the move Fling, would they cause flinch in the same way throwing a Toxic or Burn Orb would cause a toxic or burned condition? Also whats the DMG for throwing one?

Thank you for asking this, we’ve never really considered the damage an event item would do. Using a firecracker in this way would not cause the opponent to flinch, but it would do 50 damage.

Well, what you can use them for is to foil up an opponent's two-part moves. For example, a pokemon readying solarbeam on the first round then gets flinched out on the second, which ruins the attempt for that Pokemon. Plus, if you know your opponent will faint if you can just survive one more turn (i.e the opponent's poisoned/burned/cursed/seeded/perish-songed), you can stall for the last needed round.
