Seika is a trickster, tried and true. The world in which she has found herself is chaotic, and, instead of trying to impose some kind of order on this chaos, she made chaos her own. She has been on her own ever since her father passed away, but used to be daddy's little girl. She and her father were very close – thick as thieves, if you will, and thieves they were. It is a cruel world out there, even crueler when raising a young pup. Although he could hunt, he was more inclined to 'scavenge,' taking the kills of other solo hunters. Seika learned this art from him, and it is certainly easier for her to get close enough to snatch a catch and run since she is a pretty, little girl. She charms other wolves into allowing her to share a meal, then swipes the kill and runs – and she can run very quickly. In order to steal kills from other predators, she will often recruit another wolf and convince him to help her only to have him distract the predator while she steals the kill and runs. This is her method of survival; she can hunt and fight when necessary, but she finds theft to be more a more practical means of acquiring food.
Seika has also put her skills to suit her other needs. She is fond of things with which she can adorn herself. She will often steal cloaks and furs from other wolves, even jewelry when she can. She dresses herself modestly – opting to wear her father's silk cover, a simple hair ornament, and a silver bangle, one as a sentimental article of clothing and the others as her own personal trophies of her thefts – but has a den in which she keeps her stash: her horde of all the things she has found or stolen from others. It's a well-hidden den in a cave a little ways up a crag; only the most adept climbers can reach it.
She enjoys playing games with others, little word, riddle or mind games usually meant to confound the other. She's witty, often three steps ahead of others. She is rarely helpful to the average wolf, known to give false directions [especially when someone is too close to her stash for comfort] and lead others astray.
She is about the equivalent of a 25 year-old wise beyond her age in wolf years, knowledgeable enough in the workings of the world to give advice but still young enough to learn. Since she is still relatively young, she is also fallible; however, she rarely makes the same mistake twice. She gets incredibly frustrated when she does make a mistake, usually retiring to her stash to sulk.
She never intends malice and never directly harms anyone. Of course, she is not a wolf whose actions are in everyone's best interest. That being said, she would never attack someone to take his kill, trick anyone into harming himself or others [save those whom she recruits as distractions for other predators, but it is not she who causes bodily harm onto the other wolf], take advantage of the weak [she never steals from families, pregnant hunters, or sick/injured/old/otherwise weak predators], or destroy relationships. If she saw anyone in need of aid, she would help him – after all, she can steal a meal for two if she must. Despite her nature, she does not feel good about being a scumbag to those already plagued with issues of their own. She does not wish to add additional suffering to those who already suffer.
Emotions tend to not get the best of her. She is quick to move past whatever may come, though never actually come to terms with the emotions she may feel. She accepted her father's death because he was ill and death is something inevitable. It was his time, she got to say her goodbyes, and she received closure. While she understands that bad things do happen and often without reason, those things have never directly affected her. As such, she may not be adequately equipped to deal with such an event if she cannot rationalize its outcome. When logic fails, emotions rage, emotions that she may not be able to handle without help.
Speaking of help, she has a difficult time asking others for help even when she may need it [this excludes when she is tricking someone]. It is not because she does not want to be perceived as weak – she honestly could not care less what others think of her – but because she feels indebted to anyone who helps her. She detests owing others, whether it be in favors, material goods, food, or anything else you could name. She will obstinately refuse help even when it is very evident that it is something she requires.
She is also very, very grumpy when awoken, and will lash out. This is one of the few situations in which she will be visibly angry.

- ★ History
Seika was lucky to be born in the paradise of Elys'raena. Her parents came from the frozen north just in time to give birth to her in the safety and warmth of this region. It was because they came from such harsh conditions that her mother, malnourished and exhausted, perished soon after Seika was weaned. Seika likes to think that her mother gave her the last bits of her energy which were just enough for Seika to survive without her mother. However, because of her mother's undernourishment, Seika was born small, certainly smaller than your average wolf. She was lucky, though, for she was the only one of her litter who survived at all.
After her mother's death, Seika's father worried about providing adequate food for his only remaining offspring [he certainly had not been able to provide enough food for his mate]. So, instead of hunting, he turned to theft. Hunting was dangerous and the success rate was low. They were not in a pack and he, like Seika's mother, was malnourished from his journey from the north. He could not hope to kill big prey on this own – leastways not in his current state – and it was such a critical time in his baby girl's development that he needed to make sure she always had food whenever she desired.
Theft was the correct decision, for he was a very successful thief. He and his daughter almost always had meals, and he eventually became healthy once again; however, much to her father's dismay, Seika remained small as she grew. He judged that Seika would not be the most successful hunter, and so he taught his daughter how to steal first and hunt second.
Seika excelled at theft. Her size, which her dad had viewed as a flaw that would prevent her from being able to survive by hunting alone, proved invaluable to her skill at stealing. Her size blessed her with speed, and she could outrun everyone and everything. She found theft to be extremely rewarding, both in the meal itself and the pride evident on her father's face. She could see that he was thrilled that she grew up able to fend for herself, albeit unconventionally. Needless to say, Seika and her father were very close because each only had the other.
When she was the wolf equivalent of a late teen, her father fell ill. He simply deteriorated [this was likely due to some cancer resulting from old genetic damage from the radiation when the events of Midnight occurred, but these concepts are far beyond what any wolf would understand; all Seika knew was that her father was only getting weaker and weaker]. She put her theft to the test, always bringing home copious quantities of food – more than her father could eat. Eventually, he could not eat anything at all. This was the time when she picked up the habit of stealing clothes, furs, and other items, all in order to ensure her father's comfort. Nothing helped, and they both knew her father's time had come.
Her father comforted her just as she comforted him. They spent their last days together happy, telling stories of their past and watching the stars. They said their goodbyes, and her father died peacefully. The shawl she wears is from a silk cover she had stolen for her father, and the cloth on which he slept. When her father was taking his last breaths, she tore the cloth in two, tying one half of the cloth around his neck and he tied the other half around hers.
After her father's death, she traveled in search of a new home. She continued theft as her primary method of gathering food, only hunting when necessary [contrary to her father's judgement, she was quite skilled at hunting small animals, like rabbits and squirrels; however, she stuck to theft because it was the best and easiest way for her to acquire a meal]. It was during this time period where she learned that she had a certain fondness for material goods, and she realized that adorning herself with treasures only drew attention to herself – and attention is something no good thief wants. She could not shake her need for these luxuries, and decided instead to have her own, personal horde, similar to what she created for her father but much more extravagant.
She eventually came upon the crag which she would call her home after finding a suitable cavern carved into the rock face. It was rather inaccessible, for the climb up was difficult. It had taken her several falls before she learned the right steps to climb the cliff. No matter how far she may travel – and she is forced to travel a lot so those from whom she stole did not learn to recognize her or spread the word of a little she-thief – she always returns to this place.
In present time, she goes about her day-to-day business of toying with others, playing games, and stealing everything from food to precious goods.

- ★ Plots
✦ Caught: Someone catches her stealing! This can happen various ways: they are on to her from the start, foil her plan, and confront her; she tricks them out of a kill or some item and they hunt her down; or they see her stealing from some third party and confront her then.
✦ Robin Hood: She has some level of morality, so I can see her stealing food for those in need [young/old/sick]. She may even steal some cloth or fur to help them keep warm.
✦ Unintentional Harm: She never intends direct harm on others, but I'd like for it to happen to someone. Perhaps she gave some bad directions – as she often does – and the other walks into another predator's lair. This experience will be jarring for her.
✦ Damsel in Distress: Because she hates receiving help, I would like her to be stuck in a situation where someone absolutely must help her. Although she's extremely swift, she's weak in raw physical strength and this would be the situation I see her in most dire need of help. Afterwards, she will feel obligated to return the favor in some way.
✦ MY STASH!: Someone finds her stash! The location is compromised! She will be very defensive over her things, so this would be an interesting plot to explore.
✦ Thief in Training: I want her to train some pups or other wolves to be thieves. The adults must be physically limited in some way, whether it be by age, illness, or disability [a three-legged wolf may have a harder time stealing, but he could do it if he's trained right!]. She would train them so that they are better equipped to take care of themselves in a more practical, secure, and consistent manner.
✦ Bad Things Happen: I want something inexplicably bad to happen to someone around her for whom she cares. I do not know exactly how this will play out, since she will need to actually form relationships with others for that to happen. I am thinking it will relate to the Thief in Training plot, where she may train a pup to steal, the theft goes awry, and the pup is injured enough to be disabled in some way or die. She will feel absolutely terrible and get a really bitter taste of mortality. This is a complicated plot, however, because it does involve someone getting hurt. I'll play around with this idea more, see if it is a possible NPC adventure and make it into a backstory.
✦ On Love: I see her more as a heart-breaker than a lover. It will take someone exceptional to win her heart. The wolf would likely have to impress her to gain her interest, but that may not be the case. I can see her being attracted to an easy-going personality who accepts her for who she is and takes a gamble on loving her. This is open for discussion and many different plots can lead to the end result of love. The relationship would need development to see if it would be a lasting one.
✦ On Family: Her dad took exceptionally good care of her, and this is something she would do for any pups she may have. She would train them all to be thieves and maybe start a little family pack of wolf thieves! I would have to play around with the actual pack idea once there is more information on packs, especially because I don't know if packs can be mostly limited to family units. Seika can be pretty distrusting of others, especially if this is a pack of thieves. She knows very well that there is no honor among thieves, but family is forever.
✦ Blessed: I intend to have her develop as a character in the shop and reach the Blessed stage.
✦ Robin Hood: She has some level of morality, so I can see her stealing food for those in need [young/old/sick]. She may even steal some cloth or fur to help them keep warm.
