Nindo: "You see more with your eyes closed~" Personality: Despite being a bona fide adult, Xion is whimsical and adventurous. She may be usually quiet, but that's only because she relies on her ears, along with the rest of her body, to "see" the world. Beneath the silence lies an adventurous, fearless, and whimsical fellow who takes life as it comes. Xion has 99 problems but anxiety ain't one. She doesn't have the time for any of that. She's out to "see" as much of the world as she can. If possible, she wants to "see" more of the world than anyone else. She doesn't let being blind drag her down. She doesn't even see being blind as a challenge or an obstacle. Yeah, being blind makes it hard to move around in a world built around those who can see, but when it comes to "seeing" the world, Xion just accepts that she sees the world differently than others. To Xion, she sees the same world as others, just differently.
This sort of unusual world view is a bit of the norm for Xion. To herself, it all makes sense. To others, it might not. What is, is, and what isn't, isn't. For instance, Xion is used to wearing a maid outfit, which she had to wear for work ever since she was seven. Xion is not used to wearing anything else. Therefore, as her maid outfit doesn't get in the way, she has no reason to struggle putting on anything else when she can easily put on a maid outfit. This strange logic combined with a lack tact, ends in a complete disregard for factors that would affect the decisions of others (such as maid outfits being a strange choice for everyday clothing). Furthermore, not only does she not mind changing her mind in a snap, she actually enjoys modifying plans with no warning as soon as new information that supports an unchosen option pops up. Then there's a disturbing lack of fear. Capable of laughing in the face of dangers that would make grown men tremble, Xion is abnormally fearless to a fault, and again, circumstances that might throw others off don't even make Xion flinch. Although, she's known to come to an understanding of why a feared idea is a bad idea after it's been explained to her, so it certainly seems likely that she might just be a lot dense and short-sighted. Everything combined, she often comes off as eccentric and bizarre to others.
For all of her antics, Xion seems the perfect fit for a loudmouth, yet she's surprisingly quiet. She's not one to mince words, but she also doesn't babble unnecessarily. She'll say what she wants to say and that's it. It's because she needs silence to see. As someone blind, sound plays a large part in how Xion senses the world around her. She likes to talk, but she also won't let her talk impede her "vision" when it doesn't need to. Xion does weird things but she's not dumb and she's not looking forward to an early grave, either. Besides, speech isn't the only way to convey ideas. Xion's facial expressions and actions are often more than enough to confound friends and foes alike.
Xion is terrible at reading people. Being blind, she can't rely on facial clues, no duh. However, she never really bothered with learning aural cues, either. She can tell the obvious, but it's all too easy to lie to her. Her preference for having faith rather than distrust in someone only adds to her gullibility. In a way, this also applies to herself. Xion is terrible at lying and she's never learned how to hide her emotions so they're always all out for display right on her face.

Her parents, adventurous folk like her, stumbled upon some ancient Indian burial grounds and may have started a fight there without really thinking too hard about the consequences. For their transgression, their first-born, Xion, was cursed to be blind upon birth.
And that's why Xion is blind.
When she was born blind, as the curse had promised, Xion's family were at a loss of what to do. While irresponsible in many ways, one of the few responsibilities her parents took seriously were their duties to the mercenary group they belonged to. A blind child would only be a burden with no place in what essentially amounted to a group of traveling fighters, so they could not raise her. At the same time, they could not heartlessly abandon her. They weren't quite that terrible at parenting.
However, blind or not, Xion had inherited the Seirei no Hogosha bloodline. As with any bloodline limit, there was power in that potential. Her bloodline revealed itself when she was only six, and with that reveal came people who valued that power even in a blind girl. In the end, the Hiraite family of the Land of Iron adopted her about a year after her powers first revealed themselves. They hoped that they could cultivate her into a support for their son, Musunde, that would magnify his talents rather than eclipsing them.
Musunde was only two years old when the Hiraite family adopted Xion and seven year old Xion had a lot to learn before she could even be relied on to perform the most basic tasks in the Hiraite household. She didn't come completely untrained, but as a six year old, there were still a lot of tricks and shortcuts she had yet to discover and master to help herself along. Luckily, the Hiraite weren't strangers to employing the handicapped. There was another blind servant in their employment, and he served as Xion's mentor in helping her figure out the household without the sight that many others took for granted. He taught Xion how to take care of herself and earn her keep while she matured. After all, for all the myriad hopes in her bloodline, it still needed to mature before it could be trained and honed. Before the first year passed, Xion had already learned how to handle the medley of age appropriate tasks she was given. They were only a little more than the chores other kids her age would have had to deal with. The rest of her time was spent being a kid: learning, training, and playing. Her position was never forgotten but the Hiraite family wasn't cruel. In fact, compared to the always traveling life of mercenary groups, she was arguably better off living as a servant in the Hiraite family.
Xion spent her days bustling back and forth with chores and play. As the years passed, she naturally got to knew the few other children in the Hiraite household. Most of the other children were servants like her, but there was also the young master, Musunde. Xion often got in trouble for calling Musunde, "Musubi." All in good fun, of course. She never teased him with it. It was more of an unwanted and frowned upon nickname. In fact, pretty much all of the other children Xion knew got an equally silly nickname (and she would call the adults by their silly nicknames whenever she thought they weren't listening). Of course, she would get in trouble for daring to call the young master something so preposterous but eventually the adults got tired of lecturing her over it and just gave in.
The purpose of Xion's adoption did not change much over the years, though. Her training was coming along at an almost painfully slow rate because of the obstacles presented by her lack of sight and a lack of a teacher to guide her bloodline studies, but she was more than competent in the rest of her studies and work. As a result, when Musunde turned ten, the fifteen year old Xion began working as one of his personal servants. A rather complete lack of ambition and the continued habit of almost completely ignoring the young master's status, of which "Musubi" was one of the most common crimes, kept her from being assigned a more spectacular role for the four or so years she served under him.
Even without any sort of super special, unique position, though, by virtue of their similar-ish ages, the two naturally came to be friends, just like most other kids who were close in age and lived near each other (or literally in the same house as was Xion's and Musubi's case). Xion basically grew up having to be aware of the precious young master's well-being from even when she was just a small kid. Likewise, Musubi grew up either interacting with Xion through play or, as his play time shrunk with the growing of his age, through the care she provided him alongside his other servants.
Despite knowing each other for most of their lives, though, Musunde told Xion none of his plans to escape his house. It just happened one night, and 19 year old Xion happened to taking a nighttime stroll without a light. She caught 14 year old Musunde in the act of running away when he bumped right into her because he hadn't seen her in his rush. Their meeting was mildly comical and ended with Xion laughing loudly. Musunde set back to escaping quite quickly when the laugh started. As he feared, the laugh attracted guards, who Xion distracted in her eccentric fashion. She lost them somewhere in the long convoluted joke she made up on the spot to explain her laughter. The guards were befuddled, but they were none the wiser and shooed Xion, who they knew well after all these years, away. Xion's reasons for the save were, as usual, rather flighty. Musunde may have never trusted Xion enough to share his dreams with her, but Xion could sort of guess that they were probably something like her own goal to one day travel the wide world. She was envious, but to her, that was just more reason to help him.
Xion and the others who focused on caring for the young master were, of course, blamed for his sudden disappearance. They all received minor punishment before being reassigned to different posts until the young master could be found. If the Hiraite family had known what she had done that night, then maybe there would be something to actually punish her for, but no one connected Xion's little but distracting mishaps with Musubi's escape. After all, it wasn't strange for her to be weird.
However, about two years after the young master's disappearance, 19 year old Xion was let go. She displayed no progress in developing, much less improving, her bloodline abilities and her attitude wasn't showing any signs of improving either. She was old enough for the family to let her go without a guilty conscience. Blind as she was, Xion didn't mind being fired at all. She wasn't scared, either. She could still walk and she could still perform small odd jobs to earn her keep while on the road. If anything, this was a great chance. She was raised enough to be self-sufficient. Rather than spending her years cooped up under a family's strict orders, she could travel the world as she pleased. Freedom was great.
For about a year, Xion traveled with no end in sight. Then, one day, she came upon Kumogakure. At first, it was just one of many stops. Although, it did have the novelty of being a ninja village, something Xion had visited before but didn't come across often. She was meandering about it in her usual custom when she heard a familiar and completely unexpected voice: Musubi's. He didn't say much, and it was in a crowd so Xion ultimately lost the trail (or maybe he intentionally fled the scene). However, she did not doubt what she heard and what that meant: Musubi was in the village, and that was kind of interesting. The interesting thought attracted several other reasons to join a ninja village--learning how to use her bloodline, gaining new skills, ninjas probably had lots of opportunities to travel even while earning a steady income. On the spot and mostly on a whim, Xion decided to join Kumogakure.

"What Shoe said," Xion corroborated his story when she reached the gates, having heard Shoe's explanation from a ways off. To support even further, she added, "The chuunin exams were a very dangerous times, indeed…" Did she mean "place"? Yeah, she probably meant place… not like that made much sense either.
That was about when Plum made his fantastic entrance. A noisy trip, slide, tumble, and all other kinds of commotions preceded the voice that allowed Xion to identify the fellow who made the most interesting sounds. "Plum was also at the exams," she offered this mostly useless piece of information, pointing at the subject in question before turning to Shoe and suggesting, "Shoe, you should ask Plum if you can keep him company. That way, you'll have an excuse to get inside the village and take Hot to the hospital without making me drag her the whole way there."

Specialist Medical [ The user, choosing to specialize in healing medical techniques, gains a great boost to their chakra control in that area. 1. Before looking at the actual test questions, in a couple of sentences, describe your character's personality. Right now? I actually have no clue what I'm doing with her. Ahahaha. Okay, maybe a little, but a few posts is hardly enough for me to settle into a rhythm for this character that I'm comfortable with. Right now, the traits I'm constantly reminding myself of are whimsical, adventurous, and eccentric in that she has a different way of seeing things (literally and figuratively) that may be bizarre but can still be explained to some extent.
2. Family elders are expressing disapproval of you to the rest of the family. Do you: A. Accept the criticism and change your ways? B. Seek a compromise with them? C. Besmirch the reputation of those expressing disapproval as you ignore their scorn? D. Silence them any way you can? B - Xion would be B, but with strong leanings towards C. She can be as stubborn as a donkey with things she wants when she wants, i.e. Musunde as Musubi. However, she never seeks to besmirch the reputation of those she considers family, i.e. she never called Musunde Musubi in front of important guests.
3. Would you give up a promising career to aid the family in time of need? A. In a heartbeat. B. Yes, with some reluctance. C. Only if I was certain I'd be able to return to my career soon. D. No. A - Xion basically did A to initiate her start as an rpc when she decided, "Imma join Kumo now," just because she recognized a familiar voice in the village XD . Although, as just a wanderer, she didn't really have a promising career to begin with.

B is actually even less likely than A because Xion can't lie for her life. As Xion doesn't really care for her career, A is unlikely as it is.

C - by nature of Xion's condition and her, as I've stated, eccentric view of life. The problem really only lies in whether or not I can rp this since so many other things happen in rp.

Xion's doesn't fear dying so much as dying forgotten and being raised to be a sort of bodyguard/servant from your youngest days will do things to your perception of death. However, living still weighs heavily and Xion's upbringing wasn't to make her into the tradition body shield bodyguard but a sort of booster to shift the odds into the favor of the person she's guarding. She's hardly the type of person suited for a final, one-man stand.

B - Right now, the Hiraiite household is basically Xion's home town. It'll probably be a B if she was anywhere in the area. She was dismissed more out of not having any use than because she had done something really wrong. The only issue would be that the household has no obligation to Xion anymore.

D - Unless the imprisonment is life threatening or terribly long, Xion will just peacefully pass her time as a D. However, if she wants to escape, then she would go with C. She still thinks the guards are just doing their jobs, so she doesn't want them to hurt too much.

However, it's possible that growing up as a servant to the Hiraiite family may have nurtured her to be a C. I think she will disagree with anyone who is not a D, but as long as the noble isn't getting any worse than a C, then she won't have the urge to intervene.

All she wanted was something sturdy for her ear, which she figured was the safest spot for an item, and she let the smith decide what to do with that. The smith's interpretation, and what Xion gets, is literally just a gold band that covers the front and back edge of the ear and is held to the ear by a couple piercings. The signature small, red gem of the Akaito set is set into the earring at the ear lobe.
Ability Summary: • Bond - To activate an Akaito accessory, Xion has to establish a bond using her chakra. Bonding an Akaito accessory to her network requires her to invest 5 chakra and stamina. As long as the Akaito accessory remains linked to her, Xion is considered to have lost that 5 chakra and stamina from her maximum pool. To create a bond, Xion needs to be in direct physical contact with the accessory. • Release - Akaito accessories are linked until Xion wants them otherwise. Time and distance do no matter. When Xion wants to end a bond, she can finish it with just a thought. Releasing a bond restores the 5 chakra and stamina Xion sacrificed from her max pool when she established the link. It should be noted that the entire Akaito set is only intended to take up one of Xion's custom weapon slots (and the appropriate number of custom techniques said custom weapon slot would require). Individual Akaito accessories are not supposed to take up any additional custom weapon slots of either the bearer or Xion. However, they must be created, either costing 600 ryo paid to an npc work or the services of a worker rpc and whatever price they may set. Like with any other creation, creating an Akaito accessory counts as a smithing mission of the appropriate tree for the worker.

By paying 5 chakra and stamina any time while spiritually connected to the target (no action needed and from her own personal pool), Xion can treat the body of the target as the origin point for her techniques and skills for as long as she remains consecutively spiritually connected with the target. This means she can sense from the target’s location instead of her own and cast touch range techniques with the target’s touch range instead of her own among other things. Essentially, what the target come into contact to, Xion is also considered to come into contact with. This includes the good… and the bad. Damage cannot be transferred through the link, but sensations such as pain can as well as any genjutsu that affects touch. Xion cannot treat another body as the origin point for her techniques if there is 0 chakra and stamina in the Akaito accessory or if the target is not in the same subforum as her. However, if the the target is not in the same thread as Xion, than all non-sensory techniques will incur an extra half cost to cast as if the origin point was the target’s or the accessory’s body rather than Xion’s own. • Mukei Enko range+ [ Spiritual Connection range+ ] - Those wearing the Akaito no Unmei have two sets of maximum ranges for Xion to connect with using Mukei Enko, of which the largest is taken as the effective maximum range.
