So... the bones could just... sprout from anywhere. A whisper in Jeon's ear once more threatened her battle focus, but she pretended not to hear it. Still, she thought in her head about what was being said. Sena's bones would prove to be challenging to deal with, as would with the water tentacles. The only way she could get around either of those was by upping the amount of danger that they were likely to face standing against her. Something that could effectively work around the pointy bones, and also keep her away from the tentacles. Her naginata immediately came to mind, but there was the issue of the weapon being bladed. The machete they wanted to see the fruit of their efforts with also had a blade. Still, they were more practiced with the machete, and they trust that they wouldn't egregiously damage anybody with the weapon. Still... the naginata would be far more intimidating. She used her foot to kick the weapon up into the air, hand snatching it without breaking her stance as she looked at them both once more. An electrical current ran into the weapon, and the twin narrowed her eyes. She would wait a few, indicative seconds before a deep inhale, turning her head towards the ground she would spray a powerful jet of water about five feet ahead of the boy, his lizard, and clones aiming to douse them and the area around their feet in water. It probably wouldn't feel good to be hit by the sting of the water as it crashed against the ground and bounced up, but that wasn't really her goal regardless. As for Sena, the head on her back turned his head towards the Kaguya girl, keen to warn the controller of the body if she did move.

In a show of dominance, Merry stomped both of its front hooves into the ground and heave a mighty snort in the haughty lizard's direction when she looked at him with hungry eyes. Basically a sort of, "Eat these hooves!" challenge.
Mary seemed to be watching this all with a bemused smile. She wasn't stopping her lamb from starting a fight, but she also didn't look like she was going to help her lamb in a fight.
Unlike Merry, Mary showed Scylla no ill will. She reached for the raiton scroll she overheard Hitoshi speak about and rolled it out for the monitor lizard to see.
Xion, for her part, didn't react at all to Sheet or Skillet. At least, not at first. Then Mary spoke up, because Xion was evidently nonresponsive for too long, "Will you like to work on Maruton or Konton next?".
"Konton? Did I ask for those?"
"I don't know, but Hana felt obliged to throw them at me and run."
"Ah… So he was still working. I didn't know I traumatized the poor kid."
Yet, even as Xion felt bad for her previous Konton test subject, she was beginning to pull Skillet to her lap. Once the lizard was comfortably cradled and being gently stroked, she expressed her desire, "I would like to learn Konton, thank you very much, Mary. One at a time, though, and let's do only the B-rank." Something like that? Xion wasn't sure. She hadn't been raised with this sort of religious, soul-searching mumbo jumbo so it all escaped her, kind of like the description of this speed technique right now. However, she had learned how to make a link, so she was going to learn how to entire sheer speed in her target. First, she was going to just have to figure it out, starting with this special stance. Warble garble. Smatter platter. Knick knack. Lots of words and sentences all towards this super special pose, and Xion was starting to realize, Conveniently enough, Skillet had rushed out of Xion's lap like the lizard's very life depended on it. Had some sort of sixth sense told the reptile what was in store for it? Well, it was too late, the lizard had been touched. Her fate was in Xion's hands. [2/5]
With no Skillet in her lap, Xion took a kneel as the long and convoluted explanation described. She planted both knees firmly upon the academy's dirt, and almost as if she was praying, Xion, raised her hands up to chest height. Fingers clasped together, she awaited further instructions. [3/5]
When Mary reached the desired instructions, that being hand seals, Xion spoke up, "Wait. Repeat." The signs were repeated, and Xion's hands ran through each symbol. She asked for confirmation on the hand seals she used, to which Mary nodded. There was a stretch of awkward, frozen silence. Then Mary voiced, "Yes.". [4/5]
Now, all Xion needed, the final piece to the puzzle known as jutsu, was how to channel her chakra through these signs. After Mary's instructions and her practice with similar techniques still fresh in her mind from earlier this day, Xion grasped the necessary fundamentals to successfully execute the technique. Channeling her chakra this time, Xion flashed through the hand signs once more and released the technique as a pleasant(?) surprise for Skillet. [5/5]
From beside her, Xion could hear Mary whisper in her lyrical voice, "Merry, dear, could you go and see if the lizard is being affected?" and Merry's cheerful bleat in response before his hooves went clip clop away.

The silence as the opponents sized each other up, waiting for one or the other to make the first move was palpable. Hitoshi was patient though. He would make sure the one to make the first move would not be him. Not against these physical powerhouses. There was no way he could afford to make any stupid mistakes here.
It was Jeon who suddenly exploded into action, kicking up her machete into her waiting hand. Hitoshi's gaze jerked immediately into her direction, not missing the fact that the blade she held was now sparking with electricity or the sharp intake of breath that signified an incoming projectile Ninjutsu. Why was she aiming at the ground though? It didn't matter. Hitoshi had to escape and the only way was up. "Move!" he shouted for the sake of Scylla and his two clones, and before Jeon had even fully launched her jutsu they'd all cleared it: the clones darting to either side around it, Scylla jumping right over it, and Hitoshi grabbing onto the rafters up above him with a pair of tentacles, pulling him up out of the way and high above the floor.
Hitoshi didn't wait a beat. Just as his tentacles pulled him up all the way he had completed a set of hand seals, these for the Hibanahouden Ni no Jutsu, a jutsu that caused an extremely painful form of static electricity. Immediately upon completing the seals Jeon would feel her hair standing on end so painfully that even strands of her hair would start being pulled off. Every bit of clothing she wore would crackle and pop loudly, painfully as she was continuously zapped over and over again with painful electricity. The worse of it though would be her hand, the one holding the machete. Her hand would immediately be shocked not with simple static electricity, but it would feel like her arm was actually being electrocuted, the supposed source being the machete in her hand. The pain should be more than enough to give her pause rooting her on the spot for at least a brief amount of time. Adding to the realism of the Genjutsu, the stench of burning flesh would ruthlessly invade her nostrils, possibly causing her to grow sick.
Of course, Hitoshi and Scylla weren't just doing nothing while this was going on. Scylla, who had attempted to jump over the water spit at her, found that she would just barely be unable to clear the water. If she wanted to clear it, she'd need to use that jutsu she had read about in the scroll Hitoshi gave her earlier. [1/3] The water monitor's tail flicked this way and that, in her own form of hand seals. She and Hitoshi had decided together a long time ago that using her tail for hand seals would be for the best. Any other body part would just be too annoying or impractical.[2/3] She focused her chakra much in the way that one using the transformation jutsu would, but the image in her mind of what she wanted to transform into was that of lightning. She molded her chakra, holding onto that image of lightning, focusing especially on just how fast lightning was. Suddenly, she transformed into a single strand of lightning, quickly zipping straight through the bit of water she couldn't clear in her jump and right at Jeon, who currently would be suffering through Hitoshi's Genjutsu. If Jeon allowed herself to get hit by Scylla in this form then the pain from the Genjutsu would like nothing though. Her entire body would be given a painful electric shock, and she would be paralyzed for a short amount of time (1 post). Not only that, but Scylla would be even more difficult to dodge than she usually would be, because for whatever reason her speed was greatly increased. Hitoshi hung from the rafters by his water tentacles, not willing to push any offensive. He would continue to be patient and see how Jeon dealt with the combo of his Genjutsu and Scylla's attempt at paralysis. Meanwhile, his two wind clones had run outside the building, all the way to where Xion sat. They sat down on either side of the girl and kicked back to relax, both saying a brief hello to the blind girl as they explained the situation. Hitoshi would use them for substitution fodder later on if he needed to, since that's probably all they'd be good for in this particular fight.

Jay's eye shifted from Sena instinctively with all of the motion that was being made between the clones in the corner of his eye and the lizard, though his eyes specifically were drawn to the sight of handseals. His hands protruded from the side of his sister, as his head moved to the side of her neck as opposed to the back. Deft fingers moved fast, naturally, and he performed them with a sort of practice that was indicative of one who had learned the skill ages ago and used it a lot. He didn't know what the seals his opponent was making, but Sena hadn't yet moved and protecting his sister from whatever it was took priority. When he reached the height of his pull, Jeon would have already inhaled and replicated the technique that his sister had fired at the ground, firing the dangerous jet of water directly at him. However, for his forsight, he hadn't been aware that his sister had been afflicted by a genjutsu. As her hair, from her perspective, began to rise and her clothes began to crackle in her ears at the movement, she was distracted from seeing what the lizard was doing. Instead, she cried out suddenly, flinging the machete from her hand and took a leap backwards instinctively, confused about why it felt like the weapon had fried her hand and looking down at her hand. She smelled the damage, felt it even but she didn't see the origination point of the pain. In her mind, she must have done something wrong with the skill to add the current into her machete. He backwards leap had only barely threw the aim of her brother who was used to his sister's sudden jerky movements when she was in control. Many a training session and spar had she told her to keep fluid and graceful, but never did it stick. Luckily, he was able to keep his aim steady at the boy, firing in such a way as to knock him off of the rafters if it hit, and if not to tear into it.
The sudden appearance of the lightning lizard surprised Jeon above the sound of her crackling clothing, causing her eyes to snap up too late in mid air to stop the bolt from crashing into her. She grunted as she was impacted by the bolt through her crossed arms, serving to block nothing important as she fell backwards. Her brother's arm managed to stop the impact mostly, but the pain of the electricity caused a temporary paralysis to wrack the girl's body. The loudness of the crackling of her clothes was confusing to say the least. She hadn't seen the boy's seals, so she was unaware of why that was happening. She'd never run into an issue like that with using the current transfer before. Through gritted teeth, she spoke to her brother. "I don't know why, but the current transfer skill backfired somehow, the popping noise is distracting!" A swift response from Jay added to the confusion as he suddenly wished he had taken control of the body instead of her. "What are you talking about, Jeon it was fine till you dropped the machete! What popping sound?" Jeon, in her state of mild paralysis groaned. Why didn't he hear the popping sound?

Seeing that her two opponents were content to ignore her, Sena simply waited for an opportunity to show. In the meantime she silently observed them to learn as much as she could. Both opponents possessed water and lightning in some form or another though she didn't know if there was more afoot. Did the other twin offer more elements? Was lightning strictly restricted to the lizard? It also occurred to her that Jeon had been tripped up by what must have been genjutsu. So illusions were also at play here. Golden eyes had observed the battle field as she had first spotted a potential opening against Hitoshi. The exact moment was when the boy hung from the rafters, but she held off on attacking him as the situation was still rather unpredictable while she was inclined to remain a supple willow. That patience ended up paying off as she observed the ease of which Jay could still act while attached within his sister. But that left a far more concrete opening. They'd taken hits and even Jay's attention had been pulled to Hitoshi and the lizard. That was a good opening. Without even shifting much from her current position and stance Sena changed the orientation of her hands so that finger tips faced the conjoined twins. With quite little warning her finger stops tore away the skin as they shot outward in a staggered barrage of ten projectiles. [Teshi Sendan D-rank]
After the shots at Jeon and Jay she seemed to be content to return to simply watching. Maybe she was testing the waters, or perhaps just stirring the pot. Either it seemed as if Sena wasn't going to carelessly jump into the fray.

Hannelore arrived at the Dojo some time after every one else to recover from her bit of social weakness at the Raikage's office, and decided to stray away from the others who she could hear talking or fighting or what have you. Passionate as she was about battles, she had to learn more than the coordinated flailing she knew now. She headed to an of building to grab some of the taijutsu scrolls and sat down at a desk for a time. After that, she headed to the next building to practice them all.
She was to use this move against people who were coming at her from behind. Take advantage of her arms being out of their sight and a sudden spin. She did as was written and spun around on her heel, dropping her fist low, until she was faced about. Then she rose up on her feet and punched upward, almost like the Shoryuuken technique. Hitoshi had barely finished the hand seals for his Genjutsu when he noticed Jeon had sprouted an additional pair of arms. Jay's head was pointed directly at him, and the hands that Hitoshi now realized belonged to Jay himself deftly flew through his own hand seals. So even with the two having combined their bodies, that didn't mean that the non-dominant twin couldn't help? An interesting development that Hitoshi hadn't predicted, and because of that he was ill-prepared to deal with the second jet of water heading towards his position near the ceiling. He didn't miss the fact that Jeon had dropped her weapon though, and before being hit was able to flash through a few hand seals. The seals were hidden though by his water tentacles, which were wrapped around his body as if to give him some slight protection against the attack still heading his way. He was violently struck by the Jay's attack just as he finished completing his hand seals... only to burst into a puddle of water, splashing harmlessly into the ground below. His opponents would likely assume he had substituted with a water clone, but he had in fact used a Shunshin to escape, covering up his escape with a convincing Genjutsu.
Scylla appeared behind Jeon and Jay after striking them in her lightning form, feeling just a little bit dizzy from her jutsu. That thing was no joke. She'd been lucky that she only traveled a few short feet in that form. If she'd been in it for much longer then she may have been forced to suffer even more of the adverse effects of the jutsu that had been listed in the scroll. Because of the short amount of time she'd been been in the form it only took her a few seconds to get over her nauseousness, and when she turned around to face the twins Hitoshi had already cast his Genjutsu. The twins appeared to not notice, her, being more focused on themselves at the moment. They would regret not paying enough attention to their opponent though. Sena had launched her attack at the two, and now it was Scylla's turn.
The water monitor's tail flicked about in its own imitation of hand seals. She would use a weaker jutsu, not seeing the point of wasting her chakra when they were clearly still under the temporary effects of her paralysis. The fact that Sena had helped by launching her own attack was also a factor though. [1/3] Scylla focused chakra into her mouth, which she then transformed into a small electric spark. This jutsu was fundamentally similar to the Lightning Transformation jutsu she'd just used, but instead of transforming into the lightning herself it instead launched a strand of lightning at the opponent. The effects, however, weren't quite as dramatic as the transformation. [2/3] Finished molding her chakra, she took aim for what she believed to be the perfect target. If she could take one leg out for at least a short while, then that would make felling this opponent that much easier since there was no way this jutsu would be enough to completely take them out. After taking aim for the right leg, she let the small bolt of electricity fly. If it hit then Jeon would suffer little more than minor electric shocks that wouldn't amount to much damage. The real danger, however, would be the numbing effect of the jutsu that would make dodging Sena's bone bullets much more difficult. [3/3] Rakurai no Jutsu [ Lightning Bolt Technique ] Learned
Hitoshi hadn't forgotten about his other opponent, and had noticed her target Jeon before his shunshin. You're gonna regret ignoring me, he thought as he appeared behind her at the end of his Shunshin just as she fired her finger bones at Jeon. Without missing a beat, he aggressively went on the offensive. His eight water tentacles immediately lashed out at her, attempting to bind her. They'd wrap around her waist, grab her wrists, and even make sure her neck and legs couldn't move. He would make sure every single one of her limbs were rendered immobile, and because the tentacles were made out of water and not a part of his body he didn't have to be mindful of the sharp bones sticking out of her.
He didn't stop at attempting to bind her with his tentacles though and held his hands up, palms pointed straight towards her. He'd blow her away with a powerful wind jutsu at nearly point blank range. He didn't care if it would destroy his water tentacles as well! [1/3] The boy channeled chakra into the palms of his hands. He took that neutral chakra, and quickly turned it into wind. This jutsu had been one of his favorites in the scroll just because it didn't require hand seals, which meant if one hand was for whatever reason mad unusable he could still perform the jutsu with at least his one remaining hand. [2/3] Taking aim at the small of her back, he performed the final step of the jutsu. The easiest stage. He took the wind chakra focused into his hands and pushed it forwards in a powerful gust of wind right at Sena's back. He wasn't sure how tough her bones were, but this jutsu was strong enough to break rock so hopefully it would hurt her enough to take her out of the fight without putting her in the hospital. While he did all this Hitoshi made sure to pay attention to the machete Jeon had dropped out of the corner of his eye. See, earlier when he shunshin'd out of the way of her blast... that wasn't all he had done. The hand seals he'd made before disappearing were in fact not the hand seals for the shunshin, since it wasn't a jutsu that required such hand seals. No, the hand seals he made were for a different Genjutsu. Go Kasho Fuu: Raikou Seki no Jutsu [ Five Point Seal: Lightning Barrier Technique ] was a very wordy jutsu, but it was effective. The machete was now primed with a trap-like Genjutsu that would activate should she try to pick it up. It was somewhat similar to his first Genjutsu, but far more effective. Rather than simply shocking the girl, the machete would straight up electrocute her, causing the smell of burning flesh and the 'wounds' created by his first jutsu to intensify to almost unbearable levels. Unlike last time though, she wouldn't be able to simply drop the weapon. The weapon would be much more difficult to let go of, almost feeling as if it was glued to her hand.

Frustration mounted as Jay witnessed the destruction of what he saw to be a water clone substituded for the other thing. Having known the skill that hit him from familiarizing himself with lightning techniques, the boy knew that Lizard wasn't still lightning, and it was likely for him to have to do something to defend himself. His hands clasped together and a second of forcing his chakra took over both of their bodies and harden their skin. He had no intention of letting a monitor lizard bite his sister, at least not enough to break skin. His eyes flickered over to the girl, wanting to make sure she wasn't doing anything sneaky. Well of course the two of them had been focused by the both of them. Bone bullets flying towards them wouldn't be able to get through their hardened skin luckily, but the lightning bolt that hit him caused him to gasp in pain. His arms retracted into the body, Jeon feeling the bone bullets dig less than an inch into his newly hardened cheek and her shoulder. Jeon, still paralyzed from the lightning jutsu managed to also see the girl, now under attack from the suddenly appearing boy. Her eyes narrowed flickering between the puddle from the water clone and his new position. His clones hadn't ran over there after they dodged the attack, so what had he switched places with that hadn't been there before? She groaned, annoyed by the loud crackling assaulting her ears, but speaking, a little loudly to Jay. "Hey, I think I might be in a genjutsu if you don't hear all this noise from the static. Is my hair standing up?" she asked him. Jay, who was back in his position behind her head spoke simply, telling her no in a whisper. She flared her nostrils, barely able to fight to roll with his aid, just enough to see Sena better and for Jeon to be able to affix his eyes on the Lizard. "In case you are wrong, don't touch the machete. I wouldn't put it past you to have actually somehow overloaded the weapon. Focus on what's going on with them till you can move, then we execute Combination B." Jeon nodded weakly, sparks filling her ears around his words. Should the lizard move to attack that way again, he'd be in for a rude awakening indeed. Chakra of a specific nature was already prepared by the male twin, even with his current mobility hampered.

From the dojo doorway, Merry bleated a report that Mary translated, "It seems that the technique worked." Sheet's wind clones had already told Xion about the spar, so there was no reason to mention that. Although, the seemingly innocent girl almost looked disappointed that the fight had already been mentioned.
Xion thought silently for a bit before asking Mary to read to her whatever remaining B-rank techniques were on the Konton list.
Mary obliged, reading out the instructions for Konton: Butai Engi [ Soul Release: Element Amplification ] and Konton: Konki Keiro [ Soul Release: Energy Path ] in a clear voice. The two were dissimilar, but at this point, Xion had grown accustomed to a common tie between the use of the different konton techniques. It had become easy for her to remember the key points that she would need for the techniques.
The afternoon sun was starting to get hot, and even though Xion was in no way physically exerting herself, she fanned herself with one hand. "Let's head into the shade of the dojo," she suggested, as if it had nothing at all to do with the intriguing three way fight currently occuring within the dojo, "Sheet's clones, please don't follow me." A very pleasant smile accompanied Xion's very politely said request.
The blind maid stood up, breaking the kneeling position required to maintain her previously cast jutsu. Although, the spiritual residue of the technique would linger, allowing Skillet to reap half the benefits for another two posts. After brushing herself off, Xion confidently maneuvered her way around the various other groups training on the academy grounds until she reached the wall of the dojo. If she had been more familiar with this place, then she would have reached the dojo door on the first try, but as she wasn't, she had to tap tap her walking cane against the side of the wall until she walked across the doorway. Through this doorway, Xion slipped into the interior of the dojo. Indeed, she could hear the sounds of a fight, had been hearing them outside the dojo as well. In fact, the fight had been how she knew which direction to look for the door in.
Xion looked thoughtful for a moment before a mischievous smile lit up her face. As ever, she was terrible at hiding her emotions. However, what did it matter right now? At the moment, she was just one of many in the dojo. Like a silly, blind genin, Xion walked across the room without fear, presumably to the shelf of learning resources at the other side of the room. Her walking cane skittered a steady beat against the floor. Her path led her precariously close to the fight, closer to the two strangers than Sheet, without cutting straight through it. If the fates willed it, she was just in range to be in the path of someone lucky enough to be hit into her. Granted, that also meant she was in range for any other attack, but it was a risk Xion held no fear for.

With the report in hand, and smoke trailing from his lips, Shiro made his way into the academy with a slightly pissed off look on his face. While it had nothing to do with any of the shinobi of the village he still did his best to prevent venting it upon them. Without any regard at all for the spar/fight/flailing that was going on, on the first floor. Shiro mounted the stairs up to the second floor dojo where he could train in relative peace. He had already lost one village to invaders and was damn certainly not about to do it again. [warning page breaker follows]
Taking the time to set up a handful of dummies in a line, then another set in a circle, he prepared the area. Once it was to his tastes he took a deep breath and began stretching from head to toe. Once he was all loose he took another deep cleansing breath as he dashed forwards and unleashed a strong straight airborne kick for the dummy. While it did not exactly do much it was entertaining to see it skitter back a few inches. [1/1][1/1]
Without loosing any momentum Shiro landed squarely and carried the momentum of the kick. Tucking his left knee down and to the left he rotated on his hips and brought his foot up and around in a high arcing kick slamming into the dummies shoulder. Leaning back onto his hands he delivered a snap kick with his left foot before pulling hard with his abs and flipping back onto his feet. Dropping low he coiled up and quickly sprung upwards slamming his fist into the dummies head in a fierce uppercut. Were it a person it would likely have shattered its jaw. [1/1][1/1]
Moving right along he returned all of the supplies he had used to their storage locations. Returning to his line of dummies he squared off with one of them. Normally he wasnt one for outright unrestrained aggression in combat but this was gonna be fun. Racing across the ground he slammed his shoulder into the dummy tackling it. The tackle caused him and the dummy to go skidding. [1/1][1/1]
Wrapping his legs around the dummy he rode it down to the ground. Moving into a forward guard position on the chest of the dummy he took a deep breath and channeled his chakra into his fist. As he did so the chakra reactive tattoo upon his back began to glow. Starting at the the shoulder then down to his fist and fingers. He could not help but allow a Kiai to escape his lips as he slammed the fist into the dummy causing its chest and upper body to utterly detonate in a burst of straw. [1/1][1/2]
Leaning backwards he flipped back onto his feet. Dancing backwards he took a moment to catch his breath. So far he had been going non stop and it was starting to wear him down a little bit. Though once he had caught his breath he leaned forwards and for just a brief moment he disappeared. He then reappeared directly below a new dummy and delivered a fearsome upwards kick to its jaw sending it upwards into the air. [1/1][2/2]
For just a moment he watched the dummy fly before he quickly jumped up into the air. Aligning himself below and in the shadow of the dummy he prepared himself mentally for the next blow he was about to unleash as he waited until the two of them had reached the apex of their path. [1/1]
Once they crossed the apex and began to fall back towards the ground, Shiro pushed the head of the dummy to turn himself. Wrapping his legs around the chest and arms of the dummy, he grabbed a hold of the legs to twist the dummy into a setup for a pile driver. As the two slammed into the ground he rolled out and back up onto his heels while the dummy was far worse off for wear. In the small crater lie the destroyed remains, a pile of dirt and dust and straw. Smiling a bit he brushed himself off and moved on. [1/1]
Keeping up his momentum, Yasu dashed forwards and lept into the air. Tucking his head down he spun midair and quickly brought his right leg down hard on the dummy. The moment his leg made contact he could not help but smile as his leg crashed through the dummy shattering it from the force of the impact alone. [1/1]
Yet again he kept his momentum going. To change his downwards momentum to rotational momentum he slid his leg outwards in a wide circle. As he neared the starting point he shifted to the side a bit and reached out with both hands taking ahold of the dummy. From there he used all of the converted momentum to slam his knee into the dummy as hard as he could. Though he somewhat regretted converting all of that momentum when the dummy detonated like the previous ones. [1/1]
Throwing the bits of destroyed dummy he just kept going almost machine like. Racing forwards towards a new dummy he switched his strike legs with a slide. Lashing out with his left leg he swept the legs out from under the dummy while he twisted at the hips. With the twist his right leg came around and slammed into the back of the dummy sending it crashing into the ground. While its impact wasnt enough to break the dummy it was certainly enough to hurt it. [1/1]
Once again catching himself on his left hand he flexed hard with his abs to bring his legs in close so that he would land with one leg on each side of the dummy with him sitting upon his back. Without hesitation nor a moment he concentrated his chakra into his palm again and buried his palm into the dummies back with a fearsome palm strike. [1/1]
With a satisfied huff Shiro rose to his feet and quickly brushed himself off. Scooping up the mess he had previously made with the straw dummies he set about arranging himself a new half circle of training dummies to practice on. Having finished his setup he took his loose stance once more before approaching a single dummy. Grabbing its neck he picked it up with his left hand and then quickly, and harshly, slammed his right fist into its stomach sending it crashing upwards into the air. [1/1]
Without letting the Dummy fall back ot the ground shiro leapt up into the air assuming the leaf shadow dance. From there he moved to the side of the dumy delivering a powerful roundhouse kick with his left leg, rolling to the side he followed it with a backhand strike from his left hand. Now that he was oriented above the dummy he slammed his fist into the target sending it back down towards the ground with himself following after it. Just before the two reached the ground he brought his right leg down into a fearsome axe kick which caused the dummy to explode in a pile of straw and wood. [1/1]
Loading his legs with as much strength as he could he dashed headlong towards the closest dummy he saw. Before he got to the dummy he leapt into the air and twisted halfway to slam his left leg into the dummy. Bracing his right hand onto the ground he lashed out with his right leg causing the dummy to go flying across the dojo into the far wall where it too exploded in a satisfying explosion of dust. [1/1]
Taking a moment to recover his breath he looked around the room examining it, and the carnage he had created with the dummies. Forming a simple seal with both of his hands, Shiro turned his attention inwards. Over the course of the next few moments, Shiro would concentrate his chakra into various parts of his body. Knees, fists, elbows, feet even his head in case he wanted to headbutt things. Once again directing it to his fist he absently punched a dummy in front of him. However the resulting impact was something he did not expect. The moment his fist connected the dummy went barreling across the dojo where it skittered to a halt on the far side. [1/1]
With his new chakra enhanced strength Shiro made his way across the academy to the dummy he had just sent flying. Picking it up he punched its stomach and sent it upwards into the air. However this time he did not take the shadow dance. Instead he leapt above the dummy and reinforced the chakra in his fist. However unlike normal once the chakra built up to a sufficient point his fist was engulfed in flames. When his fist made contact with the dummy the result was, to him, gloriously accidental. The straw dummy was quickly engulfed in flames before it impacted with the floor. However unlike before the dummy did not explode and instead busted through the floor to the ground below where it erupted into a bigger ball of straw and flames. Though despite its flashy state, its flames died out just as quickly as they sprung up leaving naught but ash in its wake. [1/1]

So, even amidst the enforced stalemate, the twins were caught unawares as the straw-and0flames dummy came crashing through the ceiling. Finally able to move again, the pair saw that just in the pathway of the dummy's fall was the blind girl. Flaring their nostrils, both of them knew exactly what they had to do in order to prevent the girl's complete and utter destruction. They bounced from the ground, uncaring about the lil monitor lizard as they moved at full speed and crashed into the girl with a heroic tackle. They managed, with the dive, to safely carry her a few feet away from where the explosion occured with only a bit of the heat getting too close for cover and leaving a scorched bit of skin on Jeon's exposed lower leg. It was only then that she actually noticed that the girl was, indeed, blind. Jeon ignored the heat on her leg, opting not to say anything of it as she looked up at the hole where the dummy had come from. AH, it was Shiro! Jeon lit up a bit, though there was a bit of a wince from the burn she had received. Every round she'd be taking 1/8th of her health in damage, but luckily her guts kept her attack from lowering, and instead it was raised by the burn. She let the blind girl go and stood up, Jay disconnecting from her quickly and moving to help the blind girl to her feet. ["Here, lemme help you up," he offered her as he would gently get her back up on her feet. Meanwhile Jeon would call up to him, largely ignoring the spar that had been going on. "Whats the big idea, Shiro? Trying to kill us?" she asked a bit indecorously though the smile was still present and shining brightly. As a doctor, he was pretty decently known among those who worked in the hospital as was the case with J&J. They didn't, however, know that the trio would soon form two pieces of their four man squad.
It was nice that the head of the Hospital's Emergency wing was a budding shinobi like them as well, and it was equally nice to know that he liked to engage in close range combat. From waht they knew, he was a medical shinobi, practicing his shinobi skills to save lives in the Hospital. It was inspiring for Jeon, who's natural predilection for destruction meant that her inclination towards helping people took a backseat to being a force of conflict solving catastrophe. It didn't sadden her to know how easily she could take lives, compared to how easily medical ninja like SHiro could save them, and it never dissuaded her from studying to practice medicine. Her brother dedicated his career choice in on Botany in order to help further her goals, and because he really enjoyed nurturing life as well. As always, Jay had Jeon's best interest in his heart and she could never express to anyone else how greatful she was in a way that they would understand. She deeply wanted to make her brother proud, to be worth all of the sacrifiecs her parents made, and all the work Jay put into making her goals reality, even pushing his own to the wayside a bit for her to grow. And without so much as a complaint.
More than anything she, like he, wanted to see her other half smile.

He was too fast. Just like Hitoshi thought, Sena had been unable to dodge his attack. Not only that, but the blast of air managed to crack her bones as she was tossed away, ripped out of the grasp of his water tentacles. He was about to celebrate when all of a sudden... was that Xion? What was she doing here? More importantly, Sena was flying right towards her. An image of the two girls crashing into each other flashed briefly through Hitoshi`s mind, Sena mostly unharmed but the much more fragile Xion bleeding out as Sena`s sharp bones pierced her flesh.
"s**t!" He jumped towards Sena as she flew straight at Xion, water tentacles desperately stretching to reach towards her. They weren't long enough though! Maybe he could create another, longer tentacle? He tried just that, quickly focusing chakra into his right shoulder and… yes! He'd managed to grab Sena by the ankle with the new tentacle! Hitoshi fell painfully onto his stomach, Sena's unconscious body dropping several meters ahead of him. He'd jumped after Sena in order to catch her, but hadn't been smart enough to catch himself. He'd stopped her from hitting Xion though, and that was all that- "oh you have got to be kidding me." When he looked up Hitoshi noticed that it appeared Jeon had already knocked the blind girl out of the way of… something else. Either way, it appeared that his efforts had been in vain. "Tch, how annoying," he muttered as his tentacle uncurled from around Sena's ankle, hissing in pain since it had been cut up by the bones sticking out of her. Wait… pain? It should be made of water so why does it hu- OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!
The boy stared at the very, VERY real tentacle that was protruding from his right shoulder, the water tentacles on his back collapsing around him as he lost his concentration due to his shock. He had a… a real squid's tentacle attached to him? He stood up, from where he'd laid on the floor and… retracted the appendage, pulling the bleeding tip close towards his face for inspection. Pinching the tentacle, he hissed in pain once more. Yup, it was definitely real. And definitely attached. The boy tried to dispel the Genjutsu he was sure he'd been put under, but it appeared there was none. This tentacle truly was his. If that was true then… did he have a bloodline? And if he did then… were there others like him in Kumo?
"Wait... what about that guy?" He'd started talking to himself now, but Hitoshi was too preocupied with his own thoughts to be embarrassed by that fact. Now that he thought about it though, he had walked past a man with tentacles just like this one when he entered the academy earlier. The man was pretty weird looking but if they both had these weird appendages, then did that mean they were related in some way? It could, and for that reason he would need to find the man… later. He wanted to find the man as soon as possible, but he had no idea where the man had gone or where he could find him. Searching the village high and low would take too long and be too annoying as well, so he'd just train like normal for now.
Hitoshi walked past a very confused Scylla as he approached Xion, Jeon, and… someone called Shiro? His eyes glanced down at the smoldering training dummy on the ground as Jeon berated the boy for nearly killing them. Oh, so this training dummy is what the twin had saved Xion from. It looked like Shiro hadn't been paying attention when he was training and had gotten a bit overzealous. "So… let's just call this one a tie between us then?" His question was directed towards Jeon as he wrapped his tentacle loosely around his waist, unsure of what to do with it. He completely ignored the other boy called Shiro who he already didn't like for nearly getting his friend hurt.
Probably before any of the others, Xion knew something was wrong. Her ears got the sound of great force slamming into the floor above, causing the ceiling to creak in protest. However, it was only a moment before the rest, and she had only begun to hop out of the way when a tackle quicker than she could react to in her present circumstances bowled her over like a tumbleweed in the wind. About the only positive in this situation was that the contact gave Xion the opportunity to form a spiritual connection with her savior(?). Granted, she was no longer sure what use that would be now.
Blindly, Xion stared into the darkness as she quietly winced in pain. Her silence was three-fold. Firstly, if this was an attack, which it was quickly proved to not be when Xion heard a friendly greeting of some stranger named "Shiro," then she would need as much information as possible to be fully effective. Secondly, and the reason why she refrained from vocally complaining about her pain even after learning that this was just a friendly surprise, she could smell burning flesh very close to her. There was also the scent of blood, but that was further away. Whoever had saved her had done so at the expense of their own body. Xion lacked common sense in many situations but she wasn't an ungrateful p***k, at the least. As much as she disliked being tackled to the ground, it had been for her sake. Gratitude rather than complaints was called for. However, Xion was terrible at hiding what she really thought. She knew it. Everyone who'd spent enough time with her probably knew it. For that reason, she didn't say a word. Better to not say anything if she couldn't trust herself to say something nice. Thirdly, whoever "they" were felt like a woman. However, they spoke like a man. What was more, she heard the sound of one became two, and Xion had at first assumed that this was some sort of cloning technique until a feminine voice spoke out from too close to her to be anyone but the "clone" of the one that had saved her, the one that had spoken in a masculine voice. Therefore, confusion silenced Xion.
With a little start like a frightened rabbit , but it was really more out of surprise than fear, when a hand was offered to her, Xion made the male wait for only a moment. It probably looked like hesitation. It was really her just doing a quick check of her body, as seen by the small fidgets in each of her limbs, to make sure nothing had been damaged to the point that standing up would be unhealthy. She diagnosed herself as bruised but overall fine and accepted the hand. On contact, she linked her spirit with his for… reasons. Yes, reasons.
While the others made conversation, Xion gingerly stepped back in a rare moment of restraint. She had wanted to ask about the strange circumstances that had been the third reason why she was quiet. However, she had other matters to deal with first. She fussed as she moved, trying her best to repair her rather tousled appearance. A stern frown betrayed her annoyance even though she had actually all but let go of any ill will towards her savior. Unlike a certain over-reactive stranger who had shaken her vigorously while screaming her ear drums out, this interference had been well-warranted. She ceased her fussing midway when the scent of blood drew near. Her face turned unseeingly to Sheet's direction, and as the scent coincided with the approach of Sheet's voice, she had to guess he had hurt himself during the spar. Luckily, it wasn't a lot, so he'd be fine. A little bit of blood never hurt anyone.
That being said, a little burn never hurt anyone either, but Xion felt she owed the other party one. This wasn't going to make up for it, obviously, but it'd make her feel a little better for being initially irritated for being saved. Primly, Xion lowered her hands and clasped them in front of her apron after a few finishing touches to rearranged her appearance. If Xion had to guess, the burn had occurred on the legs and it couldn't have been major if there was enough strength to not only stand but also pull Xion up. As an added plus, Xion even knew which side of the body the burn was on. She could smell it… kind of. Okay, it was going to be an educated guess, but Xion was confident it was the right guess. The hand that was held behind the other flashed a quick series of hand signs as Xion muttered, "Chiyute No Jutsu: Karui [ Healing Hands Technique: Minor ]," under her breath. Through the newly formed connection with the smaller body of the two, Xion's healing chakra traveled and pooled itself into the appropriate leg, healing the superficial injury. It would prevent the loss of hp, but sadly also undo the increase to attack Jeon received because of her guts. Xion was helping. Xion was helping really much.
Now that he felt like she wasn't angry at the stranger man/woman/person anymore, Xion turned to face him/her/them and politely expressed, "Thank you," with a smile. The polite thing would have been to end there. After all, they were just strangers. However, Xion would not restrain her curiosity any longer. Perhaps a little rudely, especially considering how they probably weren't even facing her since she had chosen to step away from the Gyro person they had asked a question of, she followed immediately with her own question. After briefly waving a finger in front of her staring eyes to demonstrate, Xion asked, "As you can see, I can't," a humming laugh, "so I'm curious. I felt only one woman save me. Except then the woman's body split in two and a man's voice offered me his assistance while a woman's voice questioned Gyro of his intentions. How does that work? May I touch you?". Xion's hands remained clasped in front of her but her head moved this way and that, showing that she could at least tell the general positions of the two twins. After having had time to take it all in, she'd also noticed that two-from-one bodies were also sufficiently different to definitely not be clones, but she had chosen not to add that superfluous details. Towards the end, as she asked her questions, Xion's head stared right in between the twins and tilted to the side in the standard gesture for a question.

Chiyute No Jutsu: Karui [ Healing Hands Technique: Minor ] C [ The user concentrates chakra into their hands creating a ball of healing chakra. This chakra when concentrated will repair physical damage to another person. This is the first stage of Chiyute taught to all Medical Nin, it is not possible to advance without this technique. Specialist Medical [ The user, choosing to specialize in healing medical techniques, gains a great boost to their chakra control in that area. At Chunnin, they gain a -5 chakra reduction to perform techniques in their specialty. at Jounin, -10, at Konin -15 at Sannin -20. To clarify, they they gain a -5 chakra reduction every rank, to a maximum of -20 at sannin. All medical jutsu are still learnable by both sides, but the chakra control only applies to the chosen side. ]

Landing near the hole his strike had created he let out a small sigh. This was why he did not like to train. Every time he did, outside of the hospital, it ended with him blowing something up. Taking a knee he called to those below,"Sorry about that J. Did not figure that strike would actually be that strong." Jumping through the hole he landed with a small thump next to the male of the twins with a chuckle,"I haven't seen you in a little bit. How have you and your sister been?" Taking a step back from the young man he pulled a smoke from his pocket and lit it with a small burst of katon chakra and a snap of his fingers. These two had potential in his eyes especially in the civilian side of things with their efforts in the hospital.
