Alrighty! It's time to start getting this mess ready.
Any thoughts on how we should organise the start
section? We could copy things, or keep them
mostly the same, from the old guild or whatever
really.

The format and world we had previously had many
different places, and it would be easier to transfer.
For the start section, we can also easily whip up our
own description.
Also, how did you want to arrange the guild? Keep the
gameplay casual? Do we want to be attentive to how
active people are?

Okay, cool. Like, I'm thinking a big welcome thread?
We can link to it in the main description, and then
even have a series of "next" links, just to idiot-proof
it. lol

I want to keep it much the same as before. If you
want to arrange a time system or something (which
is where I think you're going) for the main RP that's
something I'd consider it, but the other forums, especially
the slice of life ones, should stay pretty lax.
So... Time. I like to keep things pretty event-based
if we're doing timeskips. Basically, just let people
know when something important has happened
or when a new event is being started to kill the
stall with an announcement (taking care to let
them know it only concerns the main RP) and
giving a brief overview of what they should
expect context-wise for the new time. I don't
like the regular timeskips, because, as we
saw with Epsilon, it doesn't stop those who
are inclined to quit after a week or so from
leaving, nor does it do any favors for the
natural rhythm of the scenes; not even touching
how intimidating it is for many players to
keep up.
And then there's the three-days policy.
My favorite. It's simple, everyone gets it,
everyone seems to follow it unconsciously.
If there is no post in the check-in thread,
the player forfeits their turn after three
days. Next player in the rotation has a
day to pick up the slack. Two missed
rotations in a row and the player is out.
The rest of the group do not have to
wait the three days anymore, but the
player who was absent can come
back at any time--with a large catch-up
post.

Whew! lol
If you have reasons why you like the
interval'd timeskips, I'd like to hear them. C:

To answer the question, I much prefer event based time lapses to the timed ones Epsilom has. There's less preasure in a story, and a tale and episode can actually br played through to logical conclusions. The story is more fulfilling that way.
I think it also encourages activity if people know that there is some leewy, and that they won't be miraculously teleported else.

Marvelous~ ^.^
We're definitely getting there.
I'm gonna make a thread where
we can design our PR-thingies:
a constitution, formats, Barton
ad layout, etc. Get your brackets
ready! whee

Bump~
Heyy, just a friendly reminder that I'm still waiting
for Relma. Can I have by Friday? I don't need a
final draft.

Oh! For sure! So sorry about that. I'll PM it to you when it's together.

Alright, folks! It's profile time~! I'm at a spot where I feel comfortable beginning--but just us.

Basically, I want to hit the ground running, if you will. When we start inviting members I want us to already appear active; nobody wants to be the first one on the dance floor. lol

Got it. How active are we going? I can manage as many characters as I need to, but are we doing "just us" or should I wrangle up some mule accounts?

Umm... Let's shoot for at least
three posts a week for now--however
many characters you feel comfortable
with--and mules are just fine 3nodding
