Nickname: "Zeb" is what he usually gets.
Gender: Male
Age and Birth Date: 28, born July 29th, 1988
Occupation: Toxicologist APPEARANCE Zebulon is 5'9", of an average mesomorphic build. His father and mother are Mexican and Ethnic Jewish respectively, resulting in a tan skintone.
He has piercing, lighter blue eyes. While he normally wears contacts, these are also occasionally covered with thin rimmed glasses depending on his mood. His hair is dark chestnut, and he keeps it cut fairly short to his head, with a bit of fluff remaining on the top. Zebulon has stubble from his ears to his chin and above his mouth. It is basically perpetual, and even after he shaves, it's all back by five o'clock. He's got a fairly strong jawline and an overall square-shaped face.
As for fashion, Zebulon prefers comfortable, casual, jeans. He wears what feels best on his skin and will tend to rebel even against polo shirts.This is a general reference.
PERSONALITY "Doesn't Bother Me." -- Zebulon is rather easy-going and even-tempered. He's not bothered by much, and if he is, he's rather good at hiding that he is bothered. Zebulon will tend to crack sarcastic or witty jokes even in the most grave of situations thanks to an observant eye and a particular way of seeing the world. It's not that he can't take things seriously, and in fact when at his job he tends to be Very Serious. Outside of work, though, Zebulon tends towards a calm, collected nature even in the most grave of situations and, consequently, tends to deal with them rather well.
"I Got It!" -- Saying Zebulon is crafty is not inaccurate. While he's not exactly MacGyver--though he certainly admires that level of skill--it's hard to find a situation where he cannot find a way to deal with. Where some people might see an impossible situation, his mind quickly absorbs information and present objects and comes to ways to deal with the impossible situation to either end up ahead or to end up simply out of any problems. That is not to say he is perfect at what he does; there are still situations which can trip Zebulon up, but more often than not, he can at least find something to do.
"I Take Charge." - If granted even a sliver of opportunity, Zebulon will tend to move towards the forefront of a situation, controlling it piece by piece, and he's rather good at it. He's not necessarily a leader; politics bore Zebulon and he would rather not deal with them altogether. What Zebulon is, though, is a man who knows how to take control and will show it every chance he gets. He's most comfortable in a position of control, and will tend to rebel against situations that leave him with any ounce of control taken away from him. Is Zebulon bad with authority? Not necessarily. He respects the law and actually will obey most laws to the letter. It's a more personal type of authority that tends to bother him. At a younger age, this did lead to him attempting to manipulate situations and people to his control, but age and his partner, Diryas, have balanced him out and he doesn't tend to do this as much anymore.
"What’s The Problem?" -- Smirking, snarky, devious, and more than a little sarcastic, Zebulon enjoys needling others (and even himself on occasion) perhaps a little too much. Combined with some level of intellectual snobbery, he can come off as an a*****e, even unintentionally. Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to care a whole lot about others’ opinions of his behaviours. It’s probably too much to ask to ask him to knock it off unless he is being egregiously offensive, but he isn’t typically cruel. The more he gets to know someone, the more it turns from seemingly snide mockery to playful needling, which is a little easier to put up with for most -- and he can also take what he dishes out.
"I'm a Private Individual." -- It's not necessarily that Zebulon isn't good with people or dislikes them. Rather, he finds them fascinating and tends to make acquaintance with people whenever it is advantageous. However, good luck getting him to talk about himself in any detail. Beyond the obvious, he's not really the type to get down and dirty and talk about emotions or the past or things that actually do bug him, or, really, anything of that sort unless he's gotten attached to a person. There's no need for him to share that information, so he doesn't. He doesn't really have much in the way of friends as a consequence, even if he seems to have many, many acquaintances who he will wave at and greet. What makes them fit within the sphere of this particular god? The fit for Athena is rather obvious, really: Zebulon is a crafty, creatively intelligent man with a Ph.D. in Chemistry. He currently works in Toxicology Research, both trying to research and even mix more dangerous poisons and also trying to find their antidotes.
