The first jutsu that Nagisa had been interested in learning was the Shadow Clone Technique. Using a scroll which possessed the knowledge of how to perform this jutsu including its seals and how to manipulate maruton to form it, she began to read. After reading the scroll, she had a basic understanding of the handseals necessary in order to form the jutsu. Nagisa began to practice the handseals one set after another to memorize it. Then she attempted to use her chakra to make this possible after forming the handseals. She spoke the jutsu words: "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" [1/13]
She failed to produce more than a small flash of chakra next to her. It became ever apparent that this jutsu was going to require her to rely on her previous knowledge involving the Clone Jutsu. The Clone Jutsu had been a requirement to graduate from the Kiri Academy, standard of any learning program to become a Genin kunoichi. Forming handseals quickly, she then attempted the jutsu: "Shadow Clone Jutsu." This time something like a silhouette began to form. It flickered before dissipating. [2/13]
Nagisa now had a firm memory of the handseals required for this Shadow Clone Jutsu. Now she looked back over the scroll on how to control her Katon in order to really give it life. It would require her to knead the chakra in her lungs similar to that of a projectile Katon. After forming the handseals, she then released the kneaded chakra and stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu." A more physical copy of Nagisa had formed but it was without vivacity. She could tell that she was at least progressing with her learning of this jutsu. [3/13]
After forming handseals, Nagisa began to put everything she learned so far together into one full movement that was fluid and graceful. Kneading the chakra, she then released from her lungs and stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu." A Fire Clone with substance had formed that she was able to control with her mind. She had the Shadow Clone move the maximum distance it could away from her before it disippated. If anything had been near it, it would have been quite a shock as it dissipated. Nagisa would now practice training her chakra control to produce the maximum amount of Shadow Clones. [4/13]
As she now could produce a single Shadow Clone, Nagisa took a short break, sitting down on her knees in the traditional way she had been taught by her family. She took a moment to think about what she had learned and how it could be applied in the future. Having this jutsu would give her some options in combat situations and maybe the ability to learn something in a faster duration. Getting back up, she formed her handseals for the Shadow Clone Jutsu. She reproduced the same single Shadow Clone. [5/13]
Keeping this Shadow Clone active, Nagisa then attempted to form more handseals. She kneaded more chakra and stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu." Successfully forming a second Shadow Clone, the first had burst into flames and caused the second to also burst. She was beginning to master the jutsu at this point. All she had to do was give them more substance and then make one of her Shadow Clones be able to reproduce the technique itself. It was amazing that using all of this chakra she was not feeling tired yet. [6/13]
After Nagisa had taken another short break, she once again performed more handseals. She stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu." This time instead of forming a single Shadow Clone, she made two, both with substance. Both clones moved around her on opposing sides, facing her. She had the one behind her form handseals, attempting to create a third Shadow Clone. Miraculously, the Fire Clone succeeded replicating itself. [7/13]
All three Shadow Clones had moved at a distance away from Nagisa before dissipating into flaming spirals. To show her mastery of the Shadow Clone Jutsu, she decided she would form all three clones simultaneously. Forming the necessary handseals, she then utilized the Shadow Clone Jutsu. One. Two. Three! Three fire clones with substance had formed in front of her. They were identical to Nagisa, but she knew that if they were harmed they would become flames. It was now clear that Nagisa had mastered the Shadow Clone Jutsu, her first technique of many. [8/13]

Kaito's face still beamed with delight as he stepped onto the training field. Mist hung low on the ground, giving the area a mystical feeling. The openness of the area afforded the perfect opportunity to practice many forms of jutsu. From bukijutsu to summoning, all sorts of forms could be perfected here. A fact not lost on either himself, Momo, or the other lone occupant further along.
Kaito couldn't see the figure clearly due to the mist. But he could tell enough from the form that it was a female. His inherent sensory abilities also tingled slightly, indicating that she had a distinct presence though he couldn't pinpoint it exactly. Part of him wanted to speak with the woman but the other part was hesitant. He didn't want to interrupt her training. Besides, he had some training of his own to do with Momo.
Planting his feet, the Chunin shifted on his heel to look back at Momo. "This spot looks as good as any." His ever present grin touched all the way to his eyes as he placed his hands on his hips. "Where do you want to start, Kura-san?"

Firstly, the power of this technique is enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses, not to mention defenses made of weaker materials. Secondly, this technique produces enough water to flood a small area. Rank: A-rank ► Suiton: Suishouha [Water Release: Rising Blast] Using large amounts of chakra, the user creates water from thin air and forms so much that it creates a mini-tidal wave. The water then does not dissipate for the duration of the battle, thus creating an arena where the user has a large advantage. If the climate is exceptionally arid, such as a desert, the water only lasts for a short while before draining into the sand. The depth of the water once the wave has settled is anywhere between 8 to 10 feet. Rank: A-rank ► Suiton: Suijinheki [Water Style: Water Wall] This defensive technique creates a wall of water around the user. Enemy attacks are completely intercepted by a fence of water blown out from the mouth, and is raised from below with tremendous might. The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defence without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. The wall's strength and resistance change following the quantity of chakra poured down into the water, so a skilful shinobi will be able to build a sturdy one. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. Rank: B-rank ► Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu [Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique] The Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique shapes a large amount of water into a giant, powerful dragon, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage. Rank: B-rank ► Mizu no Yoroi [Water Armor] A thin layer of water covers the user’s whole body. At the basic requirements, it gives protection against fire techniques by dampening the effects, as well as nullifying some Taijutsu attacks. While the armor is on, it constantly draws out small amounts of both the user’s chakra and stamina, and thus can only be kept up for a limited time. Rank: C-rank ► Suijuu Kokyuu no Jutsu [Underwater Breathing Technique] A fairly simple water manipulation jutsu, this technique provides the ability to breathe underwater for a maximum of fifteen minutes. ► Katon: Ryuuka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique] This Katon ninjutsu is believed to be the one of the strongest jutsu of the Katon series. This ninjutsu however requires a lot of chakra, concentration, and preparation time. A few diverse hand seals are done, and after gathering all the chakra in his mouth, the ninja will create so much flame that a red-hot fire will light up around them. All that chakra is then converted into fire inside the ninja's mouth, and it is all ejected at once, creating an extremely long blaze of fire, going directly to the opponent. This technique is straight, fast, and strong. It is most likely to be used after the enemy has been immobilized, because with such large amounts of chakra being used, most users simply cannot afford to waste it all by missing. Rank: A-rank ► Katon: Inferuno Gufuu [Fire Release: Inferno Tornado] This technique technique is performed with a few handseals. The user can then releases katon chakra and concentrate it to form and launch a tornado of fire, setting everything in its path ablaze. This requires an adept amount of chakra, with which the user can make a tornado twice his size. Rank: B-rank ► Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique] This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction. Rank: C-rank ► Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique] A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique. Zuko was close to her heel as she looked around and found that they weren't the only ones here. No surprise there as the training ground was very large and had wide range of spaces so people can train and not get in the way of others. Waving Zuko over to go sit so he wouldn't get in the way as he sometimes forget that training was a serious business. Zuko barked and jogged over under a tree and laid down as he watched them with interest. Returning her attention to Kaito as she stretched, "Best to stretch before we actually begin. Don't want to get your muscles to cramp up on you in the middle of training." Momo leaned and stretched out her back, her arms, and legs. "I'm up for anything but the question really is, what do you want to work on first? She had continued to practice her Shadow Clone Jutsu technique. First she formed the proverbial three handseals for it. Then she kneaded her chakra in her chakra network and began to send it outwards. She formed three Shadow Clones of substance proving her continued mastery. This time she had the clones dissipate down to a single Shadow Clone. The final Shadow Clone them formed the handseals. [9/13]
It formed another two Shadow Clones which stood within two feet of one-another. Running as a small squad, the Shadow Clones ran towards the nearest tree. They attempted to climb up the tree using chakra. Slowly they got higher and higher on the tree before they were on a branch. They looked down at Nagisa who had begun to feel as though she understood the technique had many applications. This was a useful jutsu. [10/13]
In order to comprehend the full scope of the jutsu, she took a break. First she went and dissipated the remaining clones. Then she found a nearby rock and sat down on it to relax. She had been using a lot of her chakra to learn this technique and it began to weigh down on her. Reopening the scroll, she read over it once more to refresh her memory. After she memorized the jutsu again, she would be ready to practice once more. [11/13]
Forming handseals, Nagisa kneaded her chakra and let it flow freely in her tenketsu. She made three handseals and stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Her nonelemental Shadow Clones formed three in total. These three Shadow Clones went on to move into a triangular formation opposite of her. Each one formed the handseals and poofed one of the others to make another Shadow Clone in their place. She felt something inside of her. Some kind of deep calling. You can produce more than three clones. Trust your instincts, you know it to be true. Forming her three handseals, she stated, "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" This time five Shadow Clones formed next to her. Taking out a Katon scroll, Nagisa began to try her main affinity. The first jutsu she sought to learn was the Katon Housenka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Mythical Fire Flower Technique]. Forming the handseals as directed by the jutsu scroll, she kneaded chakra inside of her lungs as she began to release it. As it circled her body for the first time, she then launched out a few small orbs of fire. They were blue in color, just like her Nibi that she did not exist within her. As the fireballs spread outwards, they then spiraled before dissipating. [1/1]
The next jutsu she sought to learn Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique]. After she memorized the handseals stated on the scroll, she then formed them. Tiger → Ram → Monkey → Boar → Horse → Tiger. From her mouth came a powerful orb of fire that was massive. A truly terrifying, awe-inspiring and scary technique. She knew that it had many practical uses including using it as a flamethrower as well. That made it extra dangerous. [1/1]
"Hmmm..." The young Uzumaki started to stretch as the Jonin Commander suggested, pondering her question. There were so many things that he wanted to do. So much that he needed to learn. He had been contemplating her very question earlier before the two met. Truthfully, he hadn't known then and he didn't really know now. Should I try for a new technique? Kaito folded his right arm across his chest, tucking his left against it in order to loosen the muscles. No, there's no telling how that'd go... He switched arms. Maybe practice my Katon? His gaze drifted off across the training field in deep contemplation.
Bending over at the waist, Kaito stretched out his back muscles. He then moved on to limbering up his legs by lifting each up and back, his heel touching his rump. "I've got it!" The Chunin suddenly declared as his foot smacked down to the ground. "What do you say to some Taijutsu training as a warm up? Then maybe we can do an all or nothing spar?" What he didn't want to tell her was that he generally learned better through hands-on experience. In the thick of a fight, he would be more apt to perfect any jutsu he was lacking in.

A highly draining technique, it more than makes up for the chakra consumption in potency. Entire engagements have both started and ended with this one technique, easily felling multiple enemies in one ferocious attack. Placing each arm across from her to stretch them she looked at the young Chunin and smiled. "Well that sounds perfect. I'm more of going with the flow type person anyways." Without warning, Momo moved as she appeared behind him as she shoved him forward. "You know not many people say it but remember one thing on the battlefield or even just a fight from another Shinobi. There is no such thing as a clean fight, everyone sooner or later will fight dirty. Even if we good guys fight with respect and dignity, your opponent won't. They will go for the things you love, you cherish, and even go after your pets. Now little Chunin, fight as if I'm going to kill you." Momo stood in her fighting stance as she spoke with experience when he came to fighting. She was taught to fight clean but when it came down to it, no one really does. Mist swirled about the training field. It thickened around Kaito until he could no longer see an inch in front of his nose. The boy felt a little disoriented at the moment. "Hey Kura-san?" He called out, a knot forming in the pit of his stomach. Then, as suddenly as the veil of mist had formed, it dissipated and retreated away from him. But the cloud in his mind lingered momentarily. "What? Where did--" Kaito hesitated. His pale eyes cast around in confusion. Hadn't someone been there with him just now? He shook his head to clear it. "Who was I talking to? There's nobody here." A deep frown darkened his face. He pondered the strange occurrence for a moment before ultimately deciding that someone was playing a prank on him with Genjutsu. Well the joke's on them. Because now I know what I need to practice in. With a curt nod of agreement, the Uzumaki set off from the training fields in search of someone who could teach him Genjutsu.

When Naruto stole the scroll of seals, he learned this technique as well. The normal Bunshin technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time. This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with Tajuu Kage Bunshin Rank: B-rank ► Bikou Ninjutsu [Shadowing Stealth Technique] Description: Bikou Ninjutsu is the technique ninjas use to follow their targets covertly. The manner in which the ninja shadows their target can differ, from the basic hiding under a nearby object, to using a jutsu to turn oneself invisible while stationary. Rank: E-rank ► Nawanuke no Jutsu [Escaping Skill] Description: Nawanuke no Jutsu is a very basic Ninjutsu technique that allows a ninja to escape from rope binds. Rank: E-rank
Water Jutsu
► Tsunami no Jutsu [Tsunami Technique] | Can only be used once per fight This technique can drown a small village, but requires enormous amounts of chakra and stamina. Usually an 'all or nothing' technique, as it is not used under normal circumstances due to the widespread destruction that it wreaks. Rank: S-rank ► Gekiryuu Chikara [Raging River Force] This technique is similar to the Water Torrent technique, save for a few key differences. Firstly, the power of this technique is enough to tear down most stone walls and defenses, not to mention defenses made of weaker materials. Secondly, this technique produces enough water to flood a small area. Rank: A-rank ► Suiton: Suishouha [Water Release: Rising Blast] Using large amounts of chakra, the user creates water from thin air and forms so much that it creates a mini-tidal wave. The water then does not dissipate for the duration of the battle, thus creating an arena where the user has a large advantage. If the climate is exceptionally arid, such as a desert, the water only lasts for a short while before draining into the sand. The depth of the water once the wave has settled is anywhere between 8 to 10 feet. Rank: A-rank ► Suiton: Suijinheki [Water Release: Water Formation Wall] This defensive technique creates a wall of water around the user. Enemy attacks are completely intercepted by a fence of water blown out from the mouth, and is raised from below with tremendous might. The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defence without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. The wall's strength and resistance change following the quantity of chakra poured down into the water, so a skilful shinobi will be able to build a sturdy one. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. The wall can also be formed from a pre-existing water source. Rank: B-rank ► Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu [Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique] The Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique shapes a large amount of water into a giant, powerful dragon, which hits the opponent with formidable might, dealing physical damage. Rank: B-rank ► Kirigakure no Jutsu [Ninja Art: Hidden Mist Jutsu] The Hiding in Mist Technique is a speciality of the ninja from Kirigakure, where one causes a mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist colored by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu. Rank: C-rank ► Suimenka no Kisoku [Breathing Underwater Technique] The art of breathing underwater using chakra to remove oxygen from water has been a long handed down secret of the Mist. The length of time and the depth that the diver can go under depends on the ability of the user. This technique typically activates whenever the shinobi breathes in water and requires no handseals. Rank: D-rank
Fire Jutsu
► Katon: Yurika no Jutsu [Fire Release: Fire Lily Technique] Comparable to the Katon Housenka no Jutsu but different still, this technique is obviously kept within only the most seasoned shinobi of the Leaf. Breathing in and expanding their lungs to an almost impossible size, the user breaths out gigantic fireballs (of comparable make and strength of the Katon Goukakyu). A highly draining technique, it more than makes up for the chakra consumption in potency. Entire engagements have both started and ended with this one technique, easily felling multiple enemies in one ferocious attack. Rank: A-rank ► Katon: Inferuno Gufuu [Fire Release: Inferno Tornado] This technique technique is performed with a few handseals. The user can then releases katon chakra and concentrate it to form and launch a tornado of fire, setting everything in its path ablaze. This requires an adept amount of chakra, with which the user can make a tornado twice his size. Rank: B-rank ► Katon: Hōsenka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique] This technique creates a volley of small fireballs, which are sent flying in an unpredictable manner assaulting the enemy. In addition, the flames are controlled one by one with chakra, so avoiding them all is extremely difficult. Shuriken can also be concealed within the flames, creating an unexpected secondary surprise attack. Like the flames, the shuriken can be controlled with chakra. For the most part, however, this technique is used as a distraction. Rank: C-rank ► Katon: Gōkakyū no Jutsu [Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique] A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique. Rank: C-rank ► Katon: Kasai no Ame [Fire Release: Rain of Fire Technique] This is a jutsu utilizing the fire element. The user performs a few seals and begins concentrating chakra into his hands. Eventually he will manipulate it into a ball of fire completely surrounding both hands, and then fired into the air. The two fireballs will collide and then split into 10-20 separate fireballs which will proceed to rain down on the area as commanded by the user. Rank: C-rank
