If you were to suddenly die and come back, then be told by Death that you're a grim reaper, how would you react? He'd be kinda blunt o-o

I'd whip out my scythe and start training with how to use it, and ask " when do I start".

I'd wonder why was I chosen to be a reaper, and worry that I'd have to go after someone I care about.

same as above, constantly worrying about reaping someone would be a thing.
overall, i'd probably have an averse reaction, considering how i feel about death and the like. i'd be kind of reluctant to do it.

Definitely the plot to "Dead Like Me."
As for reacting to such a thing, it's not something I think about.

Firstly, what does death look like?
are we going hot guy in a cloak
or skeleton
or scary demon guy
or ghosty ghost????
does he give me anything as a new grim reaper, or say anything else if I just keep staring at him like he's insane???
