Heart Journal: Click Here Nathaniel Wilds Theme: A Calm TimeOoC:
It had been a calm night. Most people had gone to bed early to fully enjoy the upcoming festival that would mark the new year for the village. One of them was Nathaniel, the mayor of the village. He went to bed early and was now woken up slowly by his alarm clock next to his bed. As he rose a bit to see the time, he sighed a bit to see it was 7AM and he yawned. Though then he smiled and turned off the alarm and got out of his bed, stretching himself as he walked to the window. His Ice Blue eyes looked outside at the sky and a gentle smile played around his mouth when he noticed it was a sunny day with not a spot of rain. "A great day to be out for the festival." he said softly and walked away to go take a shower in the bathroom connected to his bedroom and brush his teeth and hair.
When he was done he walked down the stairs in the mansion. He had one hand in his pocket, while he used the other to stifle a gentle yawn. The building was quiet. Very quiet, since Nathaniel had given his staff the day off as well to go enjoy the festivities. Only a few staff remained today and they were the ones that actually lived in the mansion they served and they greeted him as he passed. The young man gave them a calm smile and a nod before he headed into the kitchen. "Let's see what I can do. I can take care of myself as well." he said and laughed softly. After he was done cooking he sat at the table eating bread with fried egg, tomatoes and cheese with ham.
Nathaniel got up and put the plate in the sink before he walked to the door, picked up his keys and then walked outside. He smiled as he looked at the sky from under his Royal Blue bangs and took a deep breath. "Ah Spring, how we have missed you this Winter." he mumbled before he turned his gaze to the overhanging ridge near the mansion. On top there was the bronze statue of the Harvest Goddess, staring out over the deep blue beyond. "I wonder when we'll meet your successor." he murmured, before he smiled again and made his way to the town square for the festival. And of course the parade he had to announce.
