Zak was quietly seething, a mix of emotions boiling under the surface. When Brycen presented the badge, he snatched it, though he managed a forced, "Dankeshen," that was hard to interpret. Whether it was sarcastic or sincere but muddled by what was going on in his head, was impossible to tell. Not even Zak was really sure, though he hadn't been thinking enough to really be trying to insult the man. His mind was on Daeva, and on the battle. THat had been ridiculous.... were all weavile that striking? He'd met some, in Imperium... it was true they tended to be pretty fierce. But that one was practiced at hitting hard. Doing a critical amount of damage. Maybe it was luck... good or bad, depending on perspective.
He gathered his winnings and strode outside, but before he could even think of what he would be doing next, his watch went off. On sheer reflex, he checked who it was, and it was likely good he did-- sometimes he preferred to ignore his messages when he was in a bad mood, but this one was important, and it was from Imperium. It was time to start his mission.
Great.... just great. Hopefully his bad luck wouldn't follow him there, too.
