Jay had been.... thinking for a while, so just about all of his pokemon had been talked to about the possible options he was facing. As if Mimey's updates hadn't been enough. All the same, switching pokemon around was.... very hard, and felt very wrong. It worried him that Jesse might get anxious, or stressed out about being "abandoned", but as Mimey pointed out, Scy could be there to reassure her and give her company, as a familiar face. Tod, too, given his background, had him worried, but he assured the pokemon he'd be one of the first for him to pull out again, and the dewott seemed compliant and understanding with the idea. Or maybe he was just already detached from everything.... honestly, it stressed him out a bit to think he didn't know his starter nearly as well as he should. Zoey was also a.... a very difficult adjustment, but he was fairly confident he could get around without her, and Lee's chittering, intentional or not, provided some echos as well.
Honestly, everyone had been hard to put in the PC, but he had to do this, to clear things up. And his backpack did feel noticeably lighter, especially knowing that Mimey would be joining them soon, and he could switch one of his inactive pokemon into the party. She just wanted to stay and make sure things went smoothly, that everyone was situated. Then, well... Ralward had mentioned a willingness to battle, and to translate. He'd... be taking her place in the party, so to speak. Even though Mimey assured him he was fine with it, both could tell she was just as uncomfortable with the concept of being 'replaced' as they were. But it was all temporary... they were still a team, after all.

Jay dropped down onto a seat, and Mimey hopped up beside him. So do you know what you're gonna do, Jay? she asked, looking curiously at her frowning trainer. He'd talked to Nurse Joy, and she'd informed him that the pokemon seemed designed for contests, and that there was a coordinator's.... bonanza or something going on, and that he could try and find this 'Trevor Dover' there. The odds, honestly, didn't seem that great. Then again, if the guy was serious enough to actually special order a pokemon, maybe he would go to something like that. Or at the very least, maybe he'd find someone who knew him or recognized the name.
"Think I'm gonna go. Got Crystal 'n others with me, anyway. Might's well let 'em check out the contest stuff too, while I look for this guy," he decided. Mimey nodded, going quiet. They both knew, she'd only stayed this long to check what the plan was. He wasn't taking her with him. She put on a smile. Well, I'm sure you'll find him! And Ralward can help plenty, too! Right Rally? she urged, looking down to the Ralts, who stood on the floor, listening to the conversation. .... Of course, came the simple response, earning an uncertain frown from Jay. It occurred to him, he'd hardly spent... any time with the Ralts, let alone without Mimey there. "... Right. Well, then... you.... you ready?" he asked, looking more anxious despite the evenness of his voice-- that was the funny thing with Jay. He could control his voice alright, but he forgot that for those who could see, expression was a big thing. Mimey smiled. Yeah, I'm ready. I'll miss you Jay! she replied happily. He smiled weakly, lifting her pokeball. "Yeah I'll.... I'll miss you too, Mahmy...." he replied, before recalling her, and pushing himself up. He'd... temporarily replace her with Sigilyph, so that he could at least get to the place quicker. He'd probably put it back once he got there, though, to keep the load light.

Mistralton City. The next city with a gym. A city with a gym that gave Unova-based trainers the HM Fly, if his minimal research was correct. A city he'd have to see twice more after this, once he finished with his rendezvous with Zak. In a city that was still a mountain and another city away. A city he could have flown to, if his team was strong enough to take on the 6th gym. A gym that was in his current location. But, his team was weeks away from being able to take on that kind of challenge, and he needed to talk to Zak now. Still though. He was probably going to cry at some point, from how much walking he had to do. He was going to be a grown man. Crying. Maybe internally, maybe externally. It was too soon to tell.

Mila shook her head, fighting back a blush, as Vandal gave a list of alternative nicknames, each worse than the last. "I prefer Mila. You know, my actual name," she suggested, in a tone that made her words come off as more of a command. She reserved herself from sighing, sure she'd have plenty of time to do that later. "People would have an easier time recognizing you." Though, that may or may not have been a good thing. The vixen momentarily broke eye contact with her companion, recalling their last conversation about his illusionary tactics, but returned her gaze evenly seconds later. "Fine, I won't burn off all your fur, this time. But, you owe me," she insisted, with just the hint of a smirk.
Of course, it was gone in two seconds flat at Vandal's suggestion that she'd 'found a new man', and was replaced with a scowl and rolling of the eyes; she wouldn't even dignify the comment with a response. "Not even in your dreams," she firmly stated, though her words lost a bit of their edge when she crossed her arms and evaded eye contact. Mila turned her attention back to the Zoroark, just in time to watch him morph into the spitting image of his trainer. And, while she certainly paid attention to his impression of her, she also made sure to memorize the woman's face... just in case, on the off-chance, she needed to get into contact with Vandal. Again. "She sounds terrible," she commented, and genuinely at that. Mila grew quiet for a moment, considering something. "Why don't you ditch those plans and do something actually fun, with me, instead. Before I ran into you, I was looking for something interesting to do anyway," she offered. "...But, on no circumstances are you to consider this a date."

He pulled absently at the collar of his shirt, its material suddenly rather tight around his neck, before sighing and looking around the street he currently found himself standing on. Giving in to his basic needs, Apollo made a detour at the nearest cafe, ordering food for himself and his team before setting up outside on the patio. He ate his lunch in silence, watched the foot-traffic in front of the cafe, though at one point his attention was called to Ceti and Eris, both of whom were engaging in battles; a good way to exercise after a meal, he supposed. Although he finished his food within ten minutes, Apollo stuck around for several minutes longer, resting up and resisting the urge to trudge to the nearest Pokecenter and request a room for the afternoon at the same time. Eventually he was able to urge himself out of his chair, and after throwing away his and his team's trash, returned the majority of them before he continued on his way.
