Tay is borderline Mary-Sue-ish... but I try to give him enough weaknesses.
Which is another reminder to get back and start writing again, which I keep putting off...

Write whatever pleases you. There will always be critics, and hopefully a fan or two once in a while. Even if it falls off the canon, it can always be a "What if."
Crossover-wise, I did a Love Hina Sailor Moon fanfic (back when I was big into LH). I got halfway through (like first season of two), then I guess that was enough for me.
Thank you so much for the wise words. Think I might continue on with the story. I need to do some brainstorming. I need to finish some other stories that i've been working on for the past year, I am trying to clean my slate and make room for more - and to branch out into other realms because for the past three years I've been writing pretty much exclusively for one fandom and I'm getting bored with it but i'm not a quitter so I need to finish those stories, then I plan to dive into something else.
