Mademoiselle Alvinette Oh, and...I was re-reading the character list...Scarlett O'Hara is actually still a copyrighted character. Gone with the Wind was published in 1936, and the copyright was renewed in the '60s. Plus the author, Margaret Mitchell, died in 1949, so that was only 64 years ago. I don't want to be a party pooper; I just don't want to get anyone in trouble with the copyright fairies either. sweatdrop Well, it's in the public domain in Australia according to one site, but not in the U.S.

We probably also need to take care that our Alice characters and our fairy-tale characters don't resemble the Disney versions too much (including the fact that naming the beauty from Beauty and the Beast "Belle" is pretty much a Disney thing). But....maybe that's just me being a worrywart. sweatdrop

Mademoiselle Alvinette We probably also need to take care that our Alice characters and our fairy-tale characters don't resemble the Disney versions too much (including the fact that naming the beauty from Beauty and the Beast "Belle" is pretty much a Disney thing). But....maybe that's just me being a worrywart. sweatdrop You make a good point about Belle/Beauty and since that character is in your room I shall leave that up to you. I did leave a reminder to all hosts who have Disney characters in their rooms to keep it classy rather than Disney and, so far, I think the hosts are doing a good job reminding people about it. You're not being a worry wart, you're bringing up excellent points!
