"Crush him. Kill him. Drain his blood to water the sand!" David's voice echoed out from the still madly lashing sands, his tone different from before. Gleeful and high, though with unusual depths that didn't belong in a human throat. "No." his voice followed again, in disagreement with itself, lacking all the unusual tones this time. "Alive. He's more valuable alive." "Maim him then! Crush his bones, rend his limbs, he can live as a head in a jar!" the first voice, the voice of the Ichibi through David's mouth returned, and both went silent.

The sand that had built around the boy settled, it's violent lashing ceased, though it still swirled through the air in vast quantities. Still more rose, all around the field of battle as if to create clouds of the granular dirt. The wall before David, formed from the gathering sand split, revealing him to Jishaku's view, should he take his eyes away from Shinji. If there had been any doubt about his status as the Ichibi's host, that would be gone now. The evident rings around his eyes, signifying the lack of sleep he suffered, were a deep black, contrasting sharply against his skin and eyes, as if they were a tattoo. In the same vein, blue markings swirled across his skin, their meaning unknown to the boy, though if he took the time to notice, or care, about them he would surely recognize them from the beast's own form. On his back a large gourd had formed, reminiscent of the one he had worn to the chuunin exams so long ago, though he had discarded it midway. During his first true encounter with Shinji in fact.

But most startling of all in his change, as slight as most were, for now, had to be his eyes. Usually a bright shade of cyan, they were instead a deep yellow, with a star for a pupil. The Ichibi's eyes. He didn't know it, but that wasn't normally a feature of this stage of release. However, the jutsu he cast, silently and with the single seal required, had flooded enough of the mixed demonic chakra into his eyes to effect the visible change early.

"Good idea." David spoke once more, after a short pause, replying to the Ichibi's suggestion. Alive, didn't necessarily mean the man had to be intact. In fact, it was better if he was relieved of a few limbs, and bones weren't needed at all for a man who wasn't allowed to move anyways. And as it so happened, the perfect weapon for that bone crushing was already deployed. David's eyes narrowed on Jishaku then, his enhanced vision, or was it a mere sense? was being pushed back, away from the man's feet, a sure sign that he was using a jutsu in that area, altering the quality of the sand, if his guess was right as to what jutsu has in use. He saw the man's lips move, naming the jutsu - or was he merely speaking to Shinji? -, but the demon's gleeful cackling in the back of his mind had grown too loud, and the man's voice didn't reach him anymore. That didn't matter though. One of the clouds that had risen nearby was immediately flung into the pit of altered sand, forming a safe platform for Shinji to cross. It would be difficult for the man to avoid what would come next though, since he had waited so long, and allowed Shinji to get so close, before activating that jutsu, and putting his trust in it. In fact, if Shinji had been more focused, he would likely have been able to clear the pit without stepping in it at all. No matter though. Jishaku wouldn't be able to convert the sand David added to the pit before Shinji could reach him.

Suna Shikaku [Sand Sight]
Rank: D
Type: Ninjutsu | Supplementary
Element: Sand
Units: 0
Description:
Sand Sight is a technique that allows the user to “See” through sand. This is accomplished in two different ways. One way, is that of a sense of sorts. The user is able to feel people moving across or through the sand within their range, and even pinpoint their general location. The second way, is that of literal vision. The user is capable of peering into the sand itself, and seeing things below the surface. This can be used for anything from spotting people below, to finding caves hidden by the sand. The way this works, is that the user makes a single hand seal, sending a pulse of chakra outward from them. The chakra travels through the sand, bouncing off of other objects and returning, much like sonar. Once the signal returns, it forms together into a comprehensible image the user understands as sight. The technique also works well for seeing through sand in the air, such as sandstorms, making it invaluable for crossing the desert safely.

While the technique can be used to see through sand techniques, it only works against the user’s own techniques, with the exception of those that make sandstorms. In any other case, the opposing chakra in the sand will repel the chakra pulse, making it impossible to see through.

As the user’s rank grows, so too does their ability with this technique.
D - 15 feet
C - 25 feet
B – 30 feet
A - 35 feet
S - 50 feet
Ichibi Host - 100 feet.
The Ichibi host has greater power over this technique, due to the simple fact that he is more in tune with the sand itself than anyone else could ever be.
This is a passive technique. Meaning it can remain active as long as the user is able to supply it chakra, regardless of what else the user does. Activation costs D rank chakra, and every post after that costs one point, including the final post.
Chakra control bonuses increase the range visible by one rank, excluding Ichibi. If your rank is maxed out and you have more bonuses, you can restart the cycle by adding D rank distance.

Charging his opponent, Shinji's body screamed out for him to stop, the pain flooding through his limbs and chest to degrees that would fully incapacitate most people. Shinji's mind had created a different reality however, severing his mind from the pain of his body and created the new reality which Shinji was now locked in. With no other choice, his body reacted to the wishes of his mind, which projected the necessary information his body sensed around him in the real world into the illusion his mind had created and projected to him.

Locked in his mind, instinct dictated Shinji's every action as he reacted instantaneously to visceral stimuli. Somewhere in the recess of his mind, Shinji had realized that a armor of some kind had protected his opponent from utter annihilation and thus his response would bypass such a defense. However, while his separation of mind from the pain his body felt, Shinji's reactions were extreme, causing him to think nothing of excessive use of his augmentations which were both extraneous and dangerous. Thinking nothing of it, as he neared his target, his feet hit the hard sand platform that David had created for him and his body suddenly burst forth with energy once more.

With shuriken and kunai flying at him from behind, just about to reach their mark, Shinji's legs ignited in a blood red chakra which streamed off of them like lightning. Simultaneously, Shinji's right fist closed as his hand began to stream forth with the same blood red chakra that had ignited his legs. Instantly, blades of pure chakra extended down from his closed fist, creating a 9-inch long blade of pure chakra force in his right hand. Just as the first kunai was about to tear into his flesh, Shinji's body flared with chakra when only five feet away from Jishaku.

Shinji's natural talents for speed along with his augmentation took him far beyond the speeds that even most Jounin would be able to track, making his movements a blur. Performing a run-by attack off Jishaku's right side, Shinji launched himself off the platform as he sliced diagonally upwards across Jishaju's torso, from his lower abdomen up under his right armpit and across/through his shoulder in an attempt to take the man's right arm off as he moved past. His momentum carrying him forward with the attack, Shinji planned to be well beyond the man before he could counter, allowing him to clear the pit and land on the other side safely. With Shinji's speed, his target would need a miracle to keep his arm as his sand armor had little to no chance of withstanding the cutting power of his Chakra Blades, which could slice through steel itself like butter.

The moment David began to change Jishaku's grin came back in full form. This was what he was waiting for. However, he had no time to marvel at the change currently as he watched him begin to move sand from the air straight over the path of the pit Shinji was about to step onto. In that precise moment, the sand which swirled around him shot up to face height and stiffened. The man had created a curved wall around his persons from his front to around his shoulder blades, twelve inches thick. With as much iron sand as he had, it wasn't necessarily a difficult maneuver for him, especially considering how fast it could've been done. The goal was clear however, which was defense entirely. In the past, he noticed that Shinji had a vast amount of speed as well as power, however directly afterwards his speed seemed to wane slightly. His guess was, whatever abilities the boy had came at a price. Since he knew there wasn't a way for him to get directly behind him without the pit tipping him off to how he moved, he'd defend until the boy didn't have the strength to perform an attack of such magnitude.

His blade sliced through the barrier with great ease for nine inches, however upon reaching beyond that his fist would surely scrape against the hard metal surface that was formed just as quickly as the sand which allowed him to attack with ferocity. In all honesty, Jishaku had no clear idea as to how Shinji's abilities worked. It was a complete shot in the dark that whatever boosts in strength or speed the boy had came at a price, and he hoped it was the right one. Whatever happened next, he feared he'd have to take the boy out to face Shukkaku himself. He saw no other way to deal with the situation if there was another shinobi present for a fight he had been training for since he first learned about sunaton. No, not even Shinji would deprive him of his shot at fighting the demon of sand.

His mind lost in it's rage, Shinji's body responded to the defense of the iron dome the only way it could, by continuing the attack as if the dome itself were the man. With the blade ripping into the metal, a long gash was made in the shield, the blade of pure chakra ripping through the metal with ease, but with no great effect. Shinji's movement curved to the side of the dome, his hand scrapping against the hardened Iron Sand removing several layers of skin as he tried in vain to push his blade through the defense to hit it's mark, but to no avail. Already having left the platform to reach the edge of the sand pit below him, Shinji's body pivoted immediately to face his opponent, ready to continue his assault forward when suddenly a welling of pain rose up inside him.

Instantly, the hazy illusion around him began to ripple as Shinji felt his heart nearly beat out of his chest, sending waves of nausea throughout his body. His body could no longer take the torture it had been forced to endure. In an instant, the adrenaline which flooded his veins in combat had run out and his endless augmentations since the fight had started had run it's toll as his body gave way to a complete inability to respond to the wishes of the mind. Instantly torn from his world of illusion, the suddenly ping of pain and nausea rippled through him as the illusion passed from his eyes and brought him back to reality. Before he could figure out where he was or what was happening however, Shinji suddenly lurched forward as a stream of blood was coughed out of his mouth, streaking across the sand as he fell to his knees.

His mind almost completely hazed by the illusion, Shinji could barely understand what was happening, but the feeling he felt inside him was one he had never wished to feel again. A memory flashed back to his childhood, the pain he had endured in the alleyway of the Iwagakure. His eyes finally catching the light of the world around him, Shinji's hands went to his head, his chakra blade instantly releasing as his hand opened and gripped his skull, attempting to remedy the pounding headache which now reverberated in his head. Looking up, Shinji saw Jishaku in front of him and finally understood. Jishaku had been the destructor of his village all along, he could see the Iron Sand which had destroyed his village floating around him, and fragments of it were even lodged in his skin where his hand had scraped the dome.

Another wave of nausea passed over him as he felt and experienced the beating of his heart through his body a second time, a sign that the raging spirit would soon occur. Feeling helpless, a failure of the highest magnitude, Shinji felt his arms growing weak, as he fell to all fours, his fading vision catching only a final glimpse of the man who had been the cause of his life's greatest tragedy. All he could find himself to say was sorry... a small whisper to the sand below him as he spoke to the deceased members of his village for having failed to avenge them, to his father for having failed him by losing control of his body and mind. It wouldn't be long now and Shinji wondered if his weakness would allow him to wake up again once the blackness took him.

All at once the pain of his situation consumed him as his body suddenly raged against his use of his abilities. Physically and emotionally, Shinji had lost control and would no longer be able to hold back the torrents of energy surging inside him. Pain overtaking his body, Shinji had no control as he let loose a blood-curdling scream as his body suddenly ignited in what seemed like a fire of blood red chakra which consumed his whole body. His eyes and mouth glowing brighter then the rest of him, Shinji must have look truly alien as chakra crackled and licked off of his body like lightning. The pain he felt could not be understood as the chakra within him tore through his body, streaming like waves of lightning tearing through his skin continuously from ever pore. Had his internal screams been audible, no doubt even Jishaku would feel a tinge of pain inside him from simply hearing it.

A cloud of sand enveloped him as his chakra tore into the ground around him, the earth beneath him cratering as if a meteor had fallen into the earth, leaving bits of stone and sand levitating in the area around him before being launched away from the scene by the immense pressure of the chakra release. His body completely consumed by pain, Shinji's mind went dull, his mind incapable of forming any thought beyond processing and acknowledging the destruction of it's body. the scene would continue for some time, leaving Shinji to writhe in agony in the sands, continuing to crater any position of the ground he fell or rolled onto as his spirit raged within him, making him dead to the world around.

David frowned at what he saw before him. Shinji struck out at the annoying man, but then collapsed, somewhat like he had in their first meeting, with the distinct difference that he started screaming, and didn't seem to stop. The sound faded away, but more as if it had run out of air to fuel it than as if he'd stopped actually screaming. But oddly the evident pain of what had been, for a short time, his most powerful ally didn't affect him, and that was why he frowned. It was right in front of him, but the emotion of the scene didn't reach him, as if he was watching through glass, or on one of those recordings, rather than being present. Was that the effect of sharing consciousness with another? Your connection to the world dulled as theirs grew stronger? It made sense at least.

But at the moment, David didn't care that much about Shinji's plight. Or was it the Ichibi who didn't care? Either way, there didn't seem much point in worrying directly about Shinji. Even the ground around him was caving in, being pushed away from him as, if he was to guess, the incredible amounts of power he held were being forced out in massive amounts, tangibly. It stood to reason, that if he tried to pull him back with sand, the sand would just be pushed away like the rest so far.

Whether the boy's state was an attack from Jishaku or something of his own doing was unclear, but one thing was certain in the whole scene, and being a thought shared by both David and the Ichibi, shone through the dulled feeling of the world, becoming more real than anything else. Jishaku had to fall. The Ichibi wanted him dead, while David didn't, but the shared thought of bringing him down pulled the desire into being priority one, even over checking on Shinji, and as the Ichibi's influence grew, even David's desire to take the man alive seemed to fade, like the rest of his thoughts not shared by the demon.

With Jishaku's attention undoubtedly being fully on the... For lack of a better word, exploding boy in front of him, or at least on maintaining his shield as it was torn into by Shinji's rampaging chakra, he wouldn't notice David slowly beginning to walk forwards. It would be unlikely even that he would hear the boy casting jutsu as he walked, and he definitely wouldn't see his hands flashing through seals, as sand leapt out of his sleeves and created a dome surrounding them. The man had proven himself more adept than most at reading hand signs, a skill very few picked up.

"Suna Bunshin." the boy spoke his jutsu, though the sound was whipped away on chakra borne wind. Around the field, and particularly around Jishaku, though none quite close enough to suffer from Shinji's chakra, the floating lumps of sand slowly took human form, shaping themselves into David's own image before dropping to the ground. In other places, lumps rose from the ground, taking the same shape just as gradually, as if forcefully and physically tearing themselves from the earth. Dozens of copies of David, each with their own copy of his staff, already adorned with spikes.

As one, all of the clones rushed forwards, only a few staying back and spreading themselves into positions to make a stronger attack than just flinging themselves at the target. This, Jishaku would likely notice, despite that most of it occurred behind him, to avoid his impromptu shield. There was no logic or reason to the mass clone rush, all of them simply charging in and swinging their staves at him, hoping for a hit. Some jumped high into the air, aiming to hit him from above, while other simply dove arms wide to grapple onto him. Yet still, with the sheer numbers, and his attention, and sand, focused on shielding himself from Shinji, well, it would be difficult to ignore.

Description:
A solid clone formed from sand. This clone can be destroyed with any attack of equal strength to the user. However, if the user takes one full post to concentrate on the clones, any damage they have taken can be repaired for the cost of a D ranked jutsu. This can however only be done with clones within the user's field of vision. Unique among clones, sand clones do not take on the coloration of their creator, but instead retain the color of sand, making them almost useless as decoys. This clone is incapable of using jutsu, and does not share it's memories with the user.

Shinji couldn't see it as Jishaku felt what he assumed to be flesh scrape against the wall he created, however the frown that he'd assumed since Shinji's most prominent attack on his body, was now replaced with that toothy grin of his as his head followed Shinji's body until he was looking over his shoulder. Turning back around, he waived a right hand at the wall and near instantly the construct seemed to burst into a plume of iron sand once more, settling within rotation with the rest around him. However, his attention was once more slightly diverted behind him as he heard the sound of fluid hitting the sand. He was honestly interested in what had just occurred, looking back momentarily. It was cruel timing on the man's part, his blank eyes and exuberant smile connecting with Shinji's own eyes and face as he looked at him. There seemed to be an unspoken moment of shared thought on their part, as Jishaku mouthed to him "You. Lose. Again."

As if on cue, the boy began to scream bloody murder, chakra consuming him internally. Just as well, it seemed to threaten the area on an external level. Being sixteen feet away from the boy, the streaks of lighting-like chakra rarely reached him, having still to dodge a few with an eye still on David. The cratering of the ground was four feet shy of JIshaku. Watching rock begin to levitate, he had seen enough of the agony. The price Shinji had to pay was far more than Jishaku had assumed. However just as well, Jishaku felt the boy's willingness to do whatever it took to take him down. For his persistence, and that very same mindset which drove Jishaku, he shrouded his entire body in rapidly moving sand as he turned back around, closing his eyes for the boy for a moment before continuing to walk forward slowly.

As the quickly swirling sand around him deflected the stone as well as the off chakra streak that seemed to be hitting him from behind where Shinji was still writhing, he left a small rippling section to watch what he came so far to find. Shinji's plight was certainly something he recognized, but his true prize was right in front of him. He watched as they both seemed to walk at the same pace towards one another, the space he made for viewing allowing David to see his smile. He watched him funnel sand from his sleeves and cover his hands, muttering something he couldn't quite make out through the wind and dust that shielded his mouth movement enough to break apart whatever he could've seen. "Smart boy," he thought to himself regarding the concealment of his hands, said as if he were proud of him for learning as the fight progressed. Within the constantly shifting iron sand he watched as multitudes of sand clones began to emerge. At last, it seemed David was beginning to take the situation seriously. Jishaku would have hated to kill a boy who didn't bother to grasp the severity of the situation.

Within the swirling sand which kept most of his body save for his face out of sight, he formed a semi-long set of seals as the clones were formed. Reaching the last seal he muttered softly as the sand began to envelope his entire body, closing the whole around his face quickly, "Satetsu Kesshuu." Instantly, slightly less than half of the sand which he controlled shot forth, forming what one would say only very slightly resembled a spear. It was slight in the sense that it certainly was not traditional in appearance, and in all honesty most would think nothing of it besides a large triangle. However, it would serve him well in the upcoming minutes, and help him rid the field of the constant distractions David seemed to put between himself and Jishaku. The man wondered how long the boy would stall for until the Ichibi got annoyed. It wasn't known to be a demon of patience, and it certainly wasn't known to fall in line when necessary. In essence, David seemed to be hindering the inevitable.

Jutsu Used: +2 Elemental Control, Satetsu Kesshuu (Iron Sand Gathering Assault) - [Offensive] - [B-rank-AE Rank(Post Elemental Control Bonus)]
This technique gathers a great volume of Iron Sand and compresses it into a high-density shape. This greatly increases the hardness, creating a gigantic steel-like weapon in an instant. The weight and size of these shapes are so great, they can easily shatter bedrock and break through most defenses with one hit. Because the weapon is made out of Iron Sand, the shape can be whatever the user wants, and can even be changed during the fight. This allows the user to create the best weapon for the fight, by taking into account the opponent's abilities and the surrounding environment.

- Kyodaisou (Giant Spear) - [Requires 60 Units], by forming the Iron Sand into a triangular, spindle-shaped object (much like a pyramid) and tapering it into a sharp point at one end, the user creates a giant spear, which can extend rapidly to pierce an opponent or spin like a giant top.

(There was 10 CP I needed to detract from my former post so I just did it here and added the cost of what I did. "You bore me Jishaku." David stated blandly, stopping as Jishaku advanced on his own. And it was true. The fight, while incredibly destructive, had thus far been incredibly boring, at least when it wasn't annoying. The man kept trying to play a battle of the ego and intimidation, while all he could actually seem to do was evade attacks, never actually dealing his own. It annoyed David, and he was tired of dealing with it. Luckily though, he didn't have to. Well, not for much longer. "I think I'll let someone else deal with you."

The man had apparently ignored his clones, real and fake, since most were just clumps of manipulated sand, and as they dove onto Jishaku, blasting past his barely controlled sand (Going by the popular (Two people have said so!) assumption that outside of jutsu or constructs the sand can't really do anything.) David didn't even bat an eyelash or make any motion at all, as his prepared jutsu took effect. The false clones exploded as they reached the man. Some turned to sand ropes which lunged out to take hold of him, wrapping around anywhere they could reach, and a good number going for his new weapon, pulling it back against him. The ground, too, leapt up with more ropes, tying themselves around his legs to hold him in place, and tying together with the upper ropes. The clones that didn't turn to ropes, meanwhile, piled atop the man, morphing not into rope, but into multitudes of arms and snaking tendrils, seeking only to grasp hold of the man and coat him in an unyielding cocoon of sand.

(Gonna cut it off here rather than writing more and having to ignore or edit it... It's not very long or detailed, but, eh...)

With Jishaku focused more on David himself than the clones, he didn't expect the unusual tactic and quickly found himself enveloped in sand. Without giving him time to react as before, the Ichibi channeled one of it's favorite jutsu through David, encasing the twice traitor in a nigh impenetrable shell of hardened sand. With the man pinned once again, the ANBU in the area quickly jumped forward and the man was knocked unconscious before he could attempt another escape. A local sealing master was quickly called to the scene, and the man's chakra sealed before the ANBU took him away to the underground ANBU facilities to await judgement, and questioning.

With the main threat out of the way, Shinji was carried away to the hospital for treatment, and the foreign shinobi called back to the scene for a short debriefing. With what little information available gathered, the kumo nin were sent home carrying a letter to the Raikage, including recognition for Kensei and Sora's contributions to the fight, and a request for a meeting in future to determine the fate of Jishaku. Yamatano was given a similar letter, commending his part in the fight for the Mizukage, but also asked to quickly complete his mission and return home. A single ANBU guard was assigned to each group for the remainder of their stay in the village, under the understanding that it was merely to prevent further incident.

And with the battle and foreign nin taken care of, attention turned once more to the village itself. While the greatest blow was to the tower itself, many of the weaker buildings around the village had also fallen, though luckily most were slated for demolition anyways. Rebuilding would need to be done, and done quickly, if Sunagakure was to rise from this, and so many past troubles, to have the strength it once held.
