You must have done something wrong, then
Always take time between dying your hair (which I had to learn painfully, too), when bleaching, rather go with 9% than with the stronger ones (depending on your natural hair color, though) and then just take one of the "normal" colors that's supposed to take the yellow out of the blonde, so basically light plantinum blonde or the s**t old people take that want it rather white than semi-white or grey (which can make it slightly purple over time but I don't really give a ******** about that). It should be alright then actually except when you fried your hair beforehand by aggressive bleaching and doing that often. Man, when I had a mohawk I had to shave it off not only because I couldn't stand it anymore but also because my hair would just fall out I died it so often and it's fine now. I think.
