Hey. So I know that for a few of the people who are joining the guild, this is the second go-round.
I don't know about you all, but I remember my time here fondly.
And as an alumni of the Only Pretending Guild, I thought maybe it might be nice to chat about the old roleplays we liked, things we'd like to see brought back, characters we miss, etc.
I also thought it would be refreshing to have a BRAND SPANKING NEW thread in which to introduce ourselves and chat, since the old one is...well...old.
I'LL START!

I am a human being of an age in a place. I speak English. I go to a school and learn things.
At that school, I learn theatre things. Since I'm a theatre education major with a minor in music.
Spelling words correctly is my passion.
Knowing their definitions is my life's work.
I like to dance when no one's looking and take off my pants when EVERYONE's looking.
Also Harry Potter is the best thing that has ever happened to forever.

Wow, I'm really excited to be a part of this guild at last! I've been wanting to get in for quite a while now. I'm glad it's open and active once again :)
I'm afraid I can't afford to be terribly active, since we're about to go into the third quarter at my school and midterms are looming around the corner, not to mention my other responsibilities that make me want to jump out the window.
Anyway. Hi. My name is Marvel. I am a female human being from the planet Reach (psych). I am of an undisclosed age, attending a school in the Northern Hemisphere, speaks some variant of the English language, and is currently on a Lord of the Rings high.

For those of you who were members of the old guild, does anyone else remember the Disney characters roleplay that used to be the haps?
Because I remember being really into it and then having it never ever come to fruition.
I'm thinking that should happen again.

Hello everyone! I'm Memories in the Mist but feel free to call me Memories, Mems, or really any nickname you can come up with! I'm a returning member of the guild and I'm really happy it is now open again. I'm very excited to get back into roleplaying with all of you new and old members.
I'm thinking about remaking my old roleplay, Hoofbeats and Heartbeats, if people are interested in joining. I also have an idea for a Disney based roleplay but it kind of intertwines with a TV show (best show ever!) called LOST. But only loosely so no one would really need to have knowledge of the show to join. The plot I have would be that all the characters crash land on a mysterious island and have to survive. I was thinking that each Disney character could represent a Lost character but only slightly (like just same occupation or basic stuff like that). So it would be like combining Disney and Lost into one roleplay. OR we could just do a Disney roleplay with them crashing on a mysterious island, but I thought adding in the Lost aspect would give it a good twist.
So, what do you guys think? Sound like something you'd want to join?
I also have two more ideas which I can share with you guys if you'd be interested in hearing them. One's a romance/friendship roleplay and the other's a fantasy/adventure one.

Memories I would love to hear your two other ideas, and I'm definitely up for your Heartbeats and Hoofbeats. I was so sad when that didn't take off before =(
I was thinking of making a Disney roleplay where the characters aren't necessarily themselves... like, they're all crazy and in an asylum (but we already have an asylum rp) so I don't know how well that will go off.
ALSO
I'm going to make an introductory thread in the main forum if you guys would like to introduce yourselves on there. I had forgotten about that one...

Me too. Hopefully this time it can actually get started! ^^ So I'll work on getting that set up.
The fantasy/adventure idea would becalled Dark Horizons. It would take place in a different land back in medieval-like times. It would revolve around six mages (3 males, 3 females) who would becalled together to defeat a rising darkness.
Here's the plot I had in mind -
The land of Edmore has lived in peace for many years now. Decades ago, a group of mages fought against a dark force that threatened to take over the land. They succeeded in their quest and the land returned to its former glory. Now, the legend of the six mages is simply that, a legend. It is a story used to put kids to sleep and no one alive was even there during the Dark Times. However, whether people believe it or not, the story is very true. However, part of it is incorrect. Many believed that the six mages fully defeated the darkness all those years ago when, in fact, they simply diminished it power. It appeared dead, having enough power to shield what was left of it, but it was never fully gone. It simply lurked in the shadows all these years, waiting until the legend was forgotten and the mages were long ago before it finally struck. No one knows the form of the darkness since it has appeared in many different forms. All that is known is that is pure black shadow-like creature.
Now, the time has come for the darkness to rise but it is much weaker than before. It tried to regain as much power as it could be it is not as strong as it once was. During its time in hiding, it discovered that the six new mages were born. It knew that this time, if they all joined against the darkness, it would not be able to survive. So, it began to target the mages, poisoning their minds. It tried to target all six but, even at a young age, the three females repelled the darkness. The boys, however, slowly let it in. Some sooner than other. The darkness fed on the boys, tainting their souls and turning them to the dark. This way, it would not be fighting off six mages, but simply three with the others fighting on its side. The years pasted and the six mages soon discovered their powers and their destinies. They joined together, ready to face the darkness, not knowing that half of them were already tainted. They all left their families, knowing they would only bring them harm, and lived together in the middle of the woods. Their powers have grown over the past few weeks as they prepare to face the darkness. Yet the three boys are constantly visited in their dreams, reminding them that the mages are evil and weak and that the darkness is the only way for them to reach their full potential. While the mages are getting ready, the darkness is growing stronger, getting ready for what’s to come.
The other one, the romance/friendship one, takes place in modern time and centers around a group of eight friends (4 males and 4 girls).
Here's the plot -
Welcome to the small town of Woodfront, Montana. A small town in the middle of pretty much nowhere. The town has a small population and is many miles away from any other town. Though, the town has many stores and a excellent school. Everyone pretty much knows everyone and it's a very safe neighborhood and isn't hit with many crimes at all. It is June and school has just ended for the year. A group of soon-to-be college students, are planning to have the summer of their life. They all pretty much passed school with excellent grades and now have the summer to do whatever they want. Their parents are even considering letting them rent a beach house in California for a week later in the summer! Nothing is going to stop these teens from having the summer of their lives before college starts up in the fall. Nothing. Though, we wouldn't be here if this was going to be a happy story, now would be?
It all began at one of the friends' eighteenth birthday. She held a party just for her friends and her parents left for the night. They had the whole house to themselves and could do anything they wanted. The party was a blast, there was tons of food, drinks, and the teens basically trashed the house but who cares? But, then, something happened... No one knows exactly what but, after the party, things felt different. New rivalries had formed and even people in the group started to get snappy with each other. Maybe it was the spin the bottle they had played with boys in one group, girls in another and whatever two poeple the bottles stopped on had to kiss, maybe it was when half of them went off alone and didn't come back for a while, or perhaps it was small little problems that finally surfaced. No one knows a thing except that things aren't the same. The teens can practically feel the tension in the air, and, to make matters worse, their parents surprised them the next day announcing that on June 29th, they were going away for the rest of the summer to a expensive beach house in California. No parents, no adults, just the teens and their friends. What had first seemed like a great idea, with all the tension rising, has turned into a living hell. Though, maybe things will turn out better once they reach the beach and have some time to get away from everything... or will it just make things worse?

I LOVE the second one.....mainly because I have been craving something like that for weeks now =/
As for Hoofbeats and Heartbeats, I still have the original in the grave yard if you would like that out?

That would be great, thanks. I might make a few changes to some minor things but most things will be staying the same. So could you possibly send the one in the graveyard to me via PM? So I can change and edit a few things before setting it up in the guild?
And okay! I'll get started on setting that one up too. I might even do the first one as well if other people show interest.
Hopefully I can get Hoofbeats and Heartbeats and the second one up tonight.

Graveyard should be open to all members of the guild right now, so you should be able to get in and make changes there and then copy/paste to the designated forum, or I can move it there for you. I can't PM the posts to you, I'm sorry =/ But I'll find the link for you... should be one of the top ones in the grave yard >.>

Hey everyone!
I'm Leopardstreak, but please call me Leo. ^^ I have been roleplaying for a very long time, but unfortunately I am very busy with 4-H and FFA and choir that I have going on, plus all of my horse shows and lessons. I really want to be active, but all the guilds I have hoped would stay alive have died, sadly. Or almost dead. :c
Anyway, I'm a half-new, half-returning member. I joined almost right before it closed, so I'm... let's just say an oddity. 8D
I have an incredibly deep passion for animals, especially horses. I've been riding for eleven years, and I have my own horse, Gidget, that I ride both English and Western. If I attempted to explain the differences, it would take me hours to type and probably two or more pages to post. v.v Anyway, I am a total country girl and I love meeting new people! I'm bubbly and can tend to be over enthusiastic, so don't hesitate to get to know me! <3
Needless to say, I am VERY excited! The other issue is that my mother gets possessive over my dad's laptop, and since it's the only working one in the house, I honestly don't know when I'll be able to post. I will do my absolutely best to post as often as I can, but it could pose a small problem. But I will definitely find a way around it if I can! Just bear with me for a short time until I can figure it out. >A<
Anyway, that's it for me! I'd love suggestions on roleplays to join as well, and have some ideas of my own! C:
