I guess it's really hard to catagorize it but i'll stick it to jazz as long as there are horns in it. From what i've been getting it's all point of views and it's been evolving so much over the years.

It's just my personal opinion, but I think Acid Jazz is closer to Funk than it is to Jazz.
That's what I think. But it also depends on the band.

I tried to listen to acid jazz one day, and I absolutely couldn't stand it. There's no way that that stuff can be any part of jazz. It's just not that style...
