Are you going to one of Snicket's book readings? |
Yes! And I want to hear Handler play with the Gothic Archies, too. |

Yes! But I could care less about the wretched music. |

No. Mr. Snicket fears me. He's not touring nearby. |

It's all too dreadful to worry about. I'll scream and run away. |

I've never lstened to the audiobooks or the CD's, but anyone seen the latest movie on Lemonysnicket.com? IT ROCKS! "DIE, DIE, DIE" (That's the song's lyrics, not a command....)

I've had the CD for awhile now, just haven't been posting is all. I really do like almost all the songs. 'Things are Not as they Appear' and 'Smile! No One Cares How You Feel' are the only two that I don't really enjoy. I loves 'Dreary, Dreary.' It makes me sad... Poor Snicket, he loved Beatrice so much... Question to those who've got the CD (or downloaded it): has anyone figured out the backmasking on the last song (We are the Gothic Archies)? I'd really like to know what they say, but I've no idea how to play a song in reverse. It's at the very end, after they sing 'we worship Yog-Sothoth'. If anyone could help me out, I'd love you forever.

Perhaps I'll give it a try when I get my copy back from a fellow volunteer...it my just be the Gothic Archies refrain backwards, not sure. And yeah, I love the CD too, faves are "Dreary, Dreary", "Things are not what they appear", "Smile!", and "Scream and Run Away".

I'm pretty sure the backmasking is just the same bit they said at the beginning.
On another note, the reference to Yog-Sothoth had me rolling, figuratively, in the aisles. But I was at a grocery store at that particular moment and rolling in those aisles seems to be frowned upon. The same thing applies to the aisles between pews in most churches. Why, I remember when I was younger and you could roll wherever you wanted... I rolled fifteen miles to school, uphill both ways, every morning for ten years! Then somebody told me we had a school bus, and from then on... my life changed.
