Glad to still see your lurking around Flame. We ought a battle some time again.

Definitely haha, maybe after I get some items for my pokes and get all the power items and stuff.

I heard salamence got moved up to uber or something too after I stopped playing -_-" so I'm assuming Ill probably be getting shame if I use my baby haha. I guess I gotta rethink my teams now too

Yeah apparently having a dragon type with a 4x weakness to ice automatically makes you uber

Salamence was classed as an uber before, just so you know. And having a 4x weakness doesn't mean a pkmn cant be Uber, just look at Garchomp in the 4thGen! It's true that everyone carries at least one Ice move, but are they fast enough to use it?

I know but most with 4x weakness are common. Fire (fortress, Scizor, etc.) Flying (Heracross), Ice (the dragons, gligscor, etc.), Fighting (Bisharp, Weavile), some I'm sure I forgot.
My point is that most of the time garchomp fell quickly to my team.
I'm just saying most 4x weakness aren't too useful for me and I don't really count them as ever.

The time x4 weakness is a good indicator for helping class pokemon under its appropriate tier, but it alone is not enough be a major deciding factor considering there are too many other variables in the game prep against said weakness. (a poke with a 4x weakness to fire having access to the move rain dance and the like.)

Not to be rude guys but if this debate really doesn't pertain to helping with gen 5 tiers, than its moot. Despite our guild at the time, favored salamance staying in the OU tier, here is a link to the thread that expresses most points.

Also, to understand why garchomp was banned from play in our guild (and perhaps many other forums), here is another link
that will explain many of those view points.

The only way I could see Victini being uber is because of both its ability (victory star) which alone doesn't seem too powerful, but combined with its vast movepool, having good stats in both speed and special attack for sweeping, and having access to a stab 180 fire move, it can be a force to be reckon with. To determine whether it does would really depend mostly on the other pokes in the game since a lot of pokes this gen, (including past gens) have gotten some serious upgrades.

yeah i find it easier to do all my EV training on my platinum, and since i got gold on the battle frontiers i aint restarting

I have to agree. Egg breeding is so much easier to do in D/P/Pl whilst IV breeding is made just as easy in HG/SS. I haven't had the chance yet to transfer anything over considering I haven't beaten the game yet, but rest assure as Luther mentioned, within time, our guild's wi-fi challenges and tournaments will convert over to the fifth gen. After all, we all need to get a better grasp on the game so we can decided both what pokes are considered bannable, and allow everyone to prep news for the Gen 5.

Zekrom -Dragon/Thunder
Reshiam -Dragon/Fire
Viniciti -Fire/Pyschic

Umm Its Pretty Much The Fire Counterpart to Celebi, who is allowed.
Victini has pretty good stats, and movepool, but sooo many weaknesses.
Dark, Ghost, Water, Ground, Rock, plus i hate how they take all my precious psychics, the black and white ones arent that good -.-

Espeon has gotten a good bit of usability with Magic Bounce.

Dads being a b***h and won't let me play it until i pass sophmore year with a C in all my classes or higher.

No one likes un-educated trainers. Do your homework, foo' rofl

I find it odd that the new Pokemon Video Game Tournament(the sanctioned one) is only allowing use of B/W Pokemon only, no one from 4th gen down. I hope they aren't trying to weed out 4th gen and down, or cut off all the expansions of the Pokemon TCG from CoL and back.

Until the metagame moves to B/W battling, transferring would just be for completing the Pokedex.

Yup Espeon im so excited for <3
The Only Psychic pokemon that interested me in black and white was Victini, and Woobat, simply because Woobat has better stats then Xatu.
I Need A Psychic Type that can learn good fire moves >.< Im sick of a single scizor wiping out my team when i dont use metagross or Brongzong
