-- Rocky Road --
This is the road which leads from the Rice Country to the Earth country. The beginning half is very green and lush, leading into the Flatlands of the Otogakure, but the pathway towards the Earth Country is rocky and harsh. The path goes for many miles, but then eventually links up to the Death road leading from the Earth Country to the Fire Country.
The road is generally well traveled, but not particularly welcoming to wagons or those on trade routes. It is none-the-less still a popular route for those who must trade to make a living and is generally a safe way to travel. Due to the Rice country's generally low profile, this road doesn't particularly attract much burglary or crime.

 Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Walking quietly down the road to the Earth Country slowly, Kye couldn't help but allow her mind to wander to many subjects. Still closest to her heart was the fate of her own village in the wake of the incident which had taken place. The red flag was a symbol of a complete takeover, an attack so immense that the village could not even consider standing up to the threat at this point. Some would say this would mean the destruction of the village... but Kye had carefully crafted her country and village to be immune to destruction after having sworn to never let the country fall into war again. The red flag was a signal for everyone to go underground. All shinobi presence was to bury their identity in the civilian citizenship... to survive and lay in wait until the situation arose where they could take power again. It had been built into the village from the very beginning... the Otogakure could never truly be destroyed, because no one could ever truly pinpoint where the Otogakure was.
Destruction of the Otogakure would require a natural disaster of nearly divine stature to wipe the entirety of the Rice Country off the face of their world... and even then, the spirit of the village would survive on in the few scattered survivors. As such, Kye could walk down the road, a living embodiment of the Otogakure, and yet, to all others surrounding her... no one remarkable at all. Yasashi had gone his own way and now Kye was continuing her own quest. The question was... why was her village attacked and who could have mustered such a force for such a reason. Kye had heard little gossip or rumor regarding the attack... indeed, few people even knew that something had happened there. Either way, Kye was on her way to the Earth Country to find her old friend whom she met during her time stationed there. There, she hoped to gain access to the Iwagakure's resources to conduct some research.
One thing was strange however. Kye was beginning to note that a lot of caravans, civilians, and travelers were travelling down the same road as she was... but in the opposite direction. commerce and travel from the Earth Country to Fire Country was normal... but this was much more then that. Additionally, she was met with many concerned and suspicious looks, which again, while not unusual, the faces she say carried more then mistrust... a large majority of them carried fear. Kye could easily tell that something had happened which was speeding these people on their way, but exactly what it was, she would have to wait until her next stop to try to learn anything at all. Somewhere in the pit of her stomach however, she had a bad feeling about where she was heading.
