In Parallel Sailormoon, Usagi, Chibiusa and Kousagi all have the last name of Tsukino, even though it's established that Usagi and mamoru are still married.
The Inner Senshi retained their last names as well, and their daughters each have their mothers' maiden names.
This 1999 manga reflects how many women worldwide were dropping the tradition of taking on a husband's last name. If anything, Mamoru might want to take on his wife's name, since she and their offspring are the most powerful beings in the universe. Heh heh!
On a side note... if I ever get married, I'll be taking on my husband's name. mrgreen

Also, 30th Century Chibiusa's last name is Tsukino.
In the manga, her birth name is: Princess Lady Serenity. However in the Vampire Diary manga (ohhhh the irony now) her name is Serenity Tsukino, with her nicknames being Usagi or Chibiusa.
In the anime, her full name is: "The Small Lady" Tsukino Usagi

In the anime, her full name is: "The Small Lady" Tsukino Usagi Hmm...problem with that is I don't think the bonus chapters were officially released in English. I mean if you can read Japanese then more power to ya but from what I'VE read, the fan translations are VERY Americanized. It SOUNDS right, but I would check the original JP translations first >_> That and the Vampire Diary took place in the present with Chibiusa was in civilian form...didn't it? O.o *checks* Yeah, it took place in the present, not the 30th century. *checks Parallel Sailor Moon while I'm at it* That and in Parallel Sailor Moon Chibiusa is in the present... We simply don't know if she's 30th Century Chibiusa or present day Chibiusa. Even if you play The Canon Game which one it is could go either way. Then again, fan translations again, the version I have anyway is VERY English Dub translation. That and if you play The Canon Game then those chapters don't count :C

It's established that the Chibiusa you see in Parallel Sailormoon is the one Usagi gives birth to, NOT the 30th Century variety.
In this story, Chibiusa refers to her as "My Mom" and NOT Usagi.
Also, Naoko Takeuchi wrote in the boxes:
Chibiusa Tsukino Grade 9 Eldest daughter of the Tsukino house
Kousagi Tsukino Grade 3 Second daughter of the Tsukino House

It's meant to be an alternate universe. That's my view on it.

Those of us who can read hiragana and katakana can easily tell you that the manga lists her last name as "Tsukino". How about someone checks the Materials Collection?

Um... I want to say Chiba, because that's what my mind tells me. That in the future it'll be Chiba because Usagi's dream was to be a bride- more specifically Mamoru's Bride. Thus taking the husband's last name would probably come with it.
However in the case of Chibiusa, in the Canon Time Line I can see her using the surname Tsukino to blend in like everyone says.
It's curious though that she never out right said that was her name in the future, leading to the point that as Royalty in and of themselves, they didn't need last names. (Much like Princess Dia of the Diamond Kingdom-Nephrite's victim and Princess Rubina of the Amethyst Kingdom-or as Dub calls them Princess D and the Duchess)
It kinda seems like a trend you know..? As Evidence in the usual time line, When Venus, Moon, the cats and Tuxe went to the future, Chibiusa was told to properly introduce herself.
She introduced herself as Small Lady Serenity (Or..whatever) but there's no last name.
When she firsts meets them, she tells them her name is Usagi. There again no last name.
So for her to use Tsukino as a last name, isn't much because of her Mother per say- because if that was the case she would've already have found out that Usagi-the elder- already was her mother and Mamoru her father based on that alone.
However, it could be the simple matter that when she hypnotized them into being her relatives and accepting her as such, they come to the easy conclusion that her last name is also Tsukino. Thus eliminates anyone to say otherwise. (because again she doesn't tell them she's Tsukino Chibiusa.)
But that's Manga wise sans Parallel Moon (I treat that as a different thing entirely. Like a pipe dream- doesn't mean anything other then Naoko is notorious for being bad at naming things.).
Anime wise I think it's the CDs that points to the reason of Tsukino for Chibiusa.
I forgot which ones, but in one of them, it states the worry Mamoru has over is very on identity. Which makes the case that Chibiusa got Tsukino because of that worry of his and the fact that it's easily established that there is a family line directly from the Tsukinos and their family tree instead of Mamoru's.
From the tone of what I've read about it, it seems that he doubts that Chiba Mamoru was even his name.
So that could be it too.
Or, it could be that Naoko was far too lazy to come up with a decent name for the child at all that fits the themes she already had and decided to go with the simple stuff and then do it again for Parallel Moon naming all the kids after their mothers and give the kitty cat that Kousagi had no name at all.
^^; so in all, you can take any of those reasons. I personally think Naoko was lazy.
