-- Westland Rice Paddies --
As one can easily see, the river from this valley is not actually golden, but rather the fields got their name for the way the rice paddies look from above during harvest time. The western rice paddies are the true production fields of the Otogakure and the center of agricultural for the entire country. It is said that everything made outside of this valley is profit, since the land here is so bountiful, that it can nearly feed the entire Rice Country on it's own. as such, it is a prized and well guarded area. The majority of the workers here are common citizens, but as always many ninja are stationed here as well to assure that no one disturbs the peace of the area, or would attempt to destroy the harvest as part of an attack against the Otogakure.
The small river which flows through the valley is also famous for a ritual which occurs every year. A celebration of the harvest takes place annually along it's banks where the entire Rice Country gathers in lines up and down the river, scattering rice into the waters in thanks for the land's bounty. A three day festival of food, music and games then follows where the entire Otogakure celebrates and enjoys the beauty of the land and the prosperity the village has found from it. These fields are about 2 days travel away from Kariko Village.

Shin sat on the bank of the small river running his fingers threw the swaying grass as he thought to himself. "What do I know, I know I am 13, my name is Shin Naga, I understand language... I don't... what else!" Clenching the grass his figures were playing with Shin let out a scream, a farmer or two looked his way but that was it. "What happen to me! Were is my family, who is my family! Questions raged in and out of Shin's head. It had been a week and he has no idea who he is were he is from or who his parents are much less were there are.
A few moments past as Shin's anger grew within himself, as his anger peaked he took a deep breath calming himself down. He knew if he let anger blind him he would only become more confused and lead himself further from the truth.

After Shin fully calmed down he stood saying " I know I woke up some were around the dojo, and I had several ninja tools on me at the time. That is as good a place to start as any." Shin made his way away from the small river, as he walk he say a small green viper in the grass, it had the same green to it's scales as he had to his eye's, leaning down and picking the foot long serpent up there eyes met each other and they stared at one another for several long moments slowly swaying there heads side to side.
The snake slide it's way down Shin's arm, then down his body to coil up around the warmth of his ankle. Smiling at this odd event Shin knelled down moving his pant leg over the snake. He thought it was a bit odd to be so comfortable with suck a dangerous animal, but with not knowing anything about himself it was nice to have something that felt familiar even if he didn't know why.
Once the snake around his ankle was firmly covered up Shin made his way toward the dojo, he wasn't sure if there would be answers there but he did know he would get no were standing around here.

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Through various mediums of transportation, Kye was easily able to traverse the distance of what would have been a 2 day journey on foot to the Westland Rice Paddies in a matter of minutes. Arriving ina flash of light and a bolt of lightning, Kye came out from behind a secluded collection of rocks, streams of lightning still streaking off of her for a few seconds before she allowed herself to fully come into view in the fields of golden harvest. Looking off to her right, the ocean could be seen at some distance, marking the borders of the Otogakure to the north, making this area one of the most secluded in the entire nation. With the amount of wealth and harvest that came from this land, those who settled it lived more or less peaceful lives, somewhat secluded from the rest of the nation, but well protected by it as well. for this reason, it was often left to it's devices... certainly checked in on from time to time, but almsot never reporting anything of interest.
By now, it was getting darker across the lands, though the pale moonlight lit the fields up with an irridescent light blue glow which guided Kye towards the house which was described to her. the house itself was fairly substantial in size... larger then the average farmer's hut, but given this land's bounty, not out of place. Observing it for a few seconds before walking closer, Kye began to wonder who this Shina woman was, as she had never met her personally before, which was rather strange. Taking a step forward, Kye heard a sudden hiss as a green viper seemed to be upset with her sudden encroachment on it's territory. The snake didn't linger long though, slithering off towards the side of the house, seemingly unwilling to pick a fight. The timing of the event made Kye cautious however as she approached the house, which didn't seem like it was abandoned or left in ruin... it was simply quiet.
Walking up to the wooden porch surrounding the typical japanese-style home, Kye knocked at the front and waited several minutes, but received no response. Thinking it strange, she then walked around the perimeter of the house, finding nothing but the same thing she saw at the front. the only odd thing was that during her trip around the building, she saw several more of the green vipers, though it was likely they simply had a nest near or under the house or something... still, it was not something you saw everyday in this area. Coming around to the front of the house again, Kye thought to herself, trying to figure out the situation... "It would seem as if no one was home, or maybe she is simply a deep sleeper. I could return at a more opportune hour, but I would prefer to have something at least somewhat figured out before I leave for Suna. otherwise, it will simply naw at me." resolved to go forward, Kye quietly slid the door open from the outside and entered the house, closing the door behind her.

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || The house was utterly silent when Kye stepped inside, only the light of the pale moon illuminating the inner walls of seemingly empty home. "Hello?... Is anyone here? I bear a message from the Otokage for a woman named Shina." That statement was of course a lie, but it was really the only way to legitimize her presence to a citizen with the highest probability of receiving a positive response to breaking into their house. As she stood in the middle of the room however, not a sound was heard throughout the entirety of the house. Not liking the quiet of the house, Kye began to move into the other rooms, but did so as quietly as possible, utilizing her chakra to dampen the sounds of her footsteps and cushion her feet so that they did not creak as she moved.
Going from room to room, most everything was in order, nothing was out of place and everything seemed normal. when she finally came to the kitchen however, there were several dishes still out with some fragments of dried rice caked onto two wooden bowls, chopsticks lined across the top of each one. Just as she was about to lean down to observe more closely, the hairs on the back of Kye's neck stood up, a sixth sense suddenly invoking itself, bringing her to attention as she spun around just in time to see a green viper lunging directly at her from the roof. Reacting purely on instinct, Kye dodged the viper's strike, her head and chest sidestepping the snake's fangs as her hand shot up as an automatic counter, grabbing the snake's body tightly before tossing it across the room into a wall. the snake hit the wall with a resounding thud... the impact of the throw bludgeoning the snake's head, spraying blood against the wall and leaving the snake lifeless on the floor. "Alright... now things are starting to get weird."
Collecting the chopsticks and putting them away in her robe, Kye had an inkling that she should leave, but was determined to see just what else this house might be hiding rather then dozens of snakes. The house wasn't in disarray, clothes were where they were supposed to be, but there was no one home, and the bowls of rice left out would be strange to see. One would think that in such a clean house, the bowls would have been put away and cleaned before someone left. None of it was true evidence to the contrary however, simply observations that Kye could attempt to draw meaning from, which is why she wished to push on. As it was however, she had found nothing of what she had come looking for. Walking back out to the main open area of the house, Kye began to think to herself, but then realized that this was the house of a long-standing, now retired operative of the Otogakure, who had chosen to isolate herself to the furthest border of the village, yet still remain active here. "If this was me, I'd certainly have things I wanted to hide... and I'd do that under the house in a passage loaded with traps."
With that thought, Kye began to check the house for passageways, automatically looking for those which would, in Kariko village, lead the storehouses of ninja weapons kept below several of the residences. Sure enough, on her first try, once the latch was pressed, a door opened up inside the bedroom, which led to a staircase leading below the house... the corridor lined with unlit torches. Observing the pathway carefully, Kye knew she had to go in, but she quickly noticed that it was narrower then the average passageway, leaving not much room on the sides as compared to the other passages, which were fairly wide. Wondering what made this different, Kye then descended into the passageway, curious to see where it would lead.

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Lighting a nearby torch with some tools she had on hand, grains of iron sand began to fall out from her robe, streaming and levitating upwards in a river of metal particles as they wrapped around the base of the torch. Releasing the torch, the iron sand continued to levitate in the air holding the flame up in front of Kye as she began walking forward, the torch moving ahead of her about 2 feet away. With the passageway lit in front of her, it seemed that it would continue moving forever leading down the passageway for what seemed like a mile before coming to a small round room with a desk and file cabinets strewn about the area. Coming into the room, Kye was still cautious, but had expected more in the way of traps. Again, it didn't seem like the room had been unused, and in fact, it was quite clean, devoid of any cobwebs or signs that it had not been used for a while.
"Seems like someone has been here at least somewhat recently... there's not even any dust on the desk." Looking at the table, there was a single journal on it and a quill pen off tot he right. Looking at the journal, it looked like the kind of book Kye kept her mission logs in piquing her interest. Reaching forward, Kye picked the book up only to hear a sudden click as the sides of the walls suddenly open up, hundreds of holes appearing in the walls before thousands of poison-tipped senbon launched out of the walls coming from every angle imaginable. Had Kye been anyone else, that might have been the end, but the moment the walls retracted to produce the holes, instinctively Kye felt the presence of the oncoming metal... her bloodline giving her an innate sense for all metal. Feeling the movement, Kye formed a single seal in front of her, her bloodline abilities creating an electro-magnetic field around her, halting all of the senbon in the air, only a foot away from her on all sides. Holding the thousands of senbon in the air, Kye continued to levitate the thousands of senbon as she inspected them, noting the bits of dried poison on the ends of the senbon.
Reaching out, Kye carefully grabbed a few of them tucking them into a isolated pocket of her robe where they would not be a danger to her before dropping the remaining senbon to the ground in a sea of noise as the metal clashed and clanked against the stone floor and the other senbon. With the trap disarmed, Kye looked through the journal, but it was filled with nothing but everyday average mission logs from a shinobi of the Otogakure. Pocketing the item, Kye moved around the room, shifting the senbon around effortlessly to avoid having to walk over them, but found nothing of consequence or interest in any of the files or folders. Disappointed and upset, Kye plopped down in the chair and began to think. "C'mon Kye, look at the facts. This lady obviously doesn't want anyone going through their stuff, neither would I... but what's wrong with this situation? She's obviously a capable ninja to set this up... maybe there's another layer beyond that. What if..." Natural instinct guiding her, Kye looked at the latch she had triggered in removing the journal and pulled it all the way out of the desk until she finally heard another click, but this time, the room suddenly spun around, the previous entrance way becoming blocked off and revealing another passageway behind her. Smiling silently to herself, she then got up and proceeded down the second hidden passageway, confident that by now, she must have been getting close to something.

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Walking down another hallway, Kye was wary of nearly everything around her as she felt that she was walking further and further into someone's trap. She had gone too far at this point to turn back now though... she had to uncover what this dungeon was hiding in her domain. This hallway was excessively long however and after she had been walking several minutes seeing no end in sight, she stopped, touching the walls on the right side as she traced her fingers across it. It felt real enough, but the situation wasn't right. Forming a single seal, Kye suddenly focused her chakra, dropping it down low in her body, but then released a blast from her core as she announced the jutsu's name, "KAI!"
The passageway immediately melted away before her to reveal a final circular room, confirming her theory that she had fallen under a hidden genjutsu. Stepping forward into the room, it immediately appeared to be a LAB of sorts with boiling substances, jarred specimens and burners around the room. It was also filled with dozens of journals and books, some of research value and others personal experiment notes. The very site of the lab shocked Kye, but after more research into what was going on around her, she was more disturbed then ever. From what she could tell, the woman who owned this area was running genetic experiments trying to resurrect a former member of her clan, one of great power. Looking around the room more closely, pieces of snakes, snakeskin, skeletal remains of snakes, small containers with various poisons, snake like fangs attached to each bottle... could this woman have been of the same clan as the once mighty... "I need to get back to the village... Yasa needs to be informed so we can be aware of the situation. Caution needs to be taken to assure that we are prepared for any kind of invasi--... oh no, that boy... the one with amnesia... I knew his features reminded me of something. I need to get back."
Hurriedly, Kye began to look around the room looking through the journals, collecting all that she found into a bag which was slung on her side until she finally came to a journal marked only as 'Shin'. Consumed by intrigue, as this was exactly what she was looking for, Kye opened the journal to the first page, only to be horrified by what she saw. Looking down, she saw seals and symbols written in a circle on the page, which seemed to suddenly shimmer with a slight red glow... "Oh, s**t..." the symbol immediately exploded in white smoke as Kye was suddenly caught up in a large explosion of sorts as amidst the smoke she felt herself raised up and pushed skyward as the ground, rock and stone and earth split away from a large creature which was emerging from the seal. Caught up in the creature's summon, Kye was nearly helpless, but acting instinctively, the sections of her staff were separated as iron sand began to flow out from it as well as from around her entire body as it quickly formed into a shield around her.
The shield appeared and wrapped around her not a second too soon as a sudden explosion ignited throughout the entire area, utterly destroying the lab and the house, igniting the entire area in a flash of bright light against the dark night sky. After feeling the searing heat all around her in her iron cocoon be replaced by rushing wind, Kye released the Iron shield to find herself sailing through the air as an enormous snake opened it's jaws and lunged at her to swallow her whole. The summon was enormous, easily 50 ft tall or more with a wide purple scaled body and fangs easily the size of Kye herself. It would be at least 20 minutes before the perimeter guards for this section could respond to the explosion... so she had to act fast if she was going to both fell the summon and avoid any suspicion to her true identity. Regaining control of her body in her airborne condition, Kye flipped around mid air to face the creature's gaping maw as she gripped her spear tightly, re-aligning the sections to form a solid staff once more as the cloud of iron dust floated in the air around her, ready to respond to her every whim. "You want a piece of me? Go ahead and try it."

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Still propelled by the summon's initial appearance, Kye stared the massive creature down without fear as it opened it's gaping jaw and lunged forward to swallow her whole. Twirling her spear in the air, Kye's momentum suddenly stopped as she initiated the Walking on Air maneuver to spring off of some invisible wall, propelling her forward like a bullet directly at the beast's open mouth. Holding her spear out in front of her as she lunge forward, the cloud of iron sand then began to coalesce into the form of 7 sharpened spikes which traveled alongside her, creating a massive group of sharpened spikes which flew directly into the snake's open jaw in complete defiance of it's threat to swallow her whole.
Colliding with the soft inner tissue of the snake's mouth, all the beast could do was sprawl backwards and flail wildly, letting out cries of pain as blood spurted from the wounds and out the back of it's head where several of the iron spikes had protruded. using the snake's own tongue as a springboard, Kye then ripped her spear out of the snake's flesh causing another wailing cry of pain from the creature as she launched herself backwards out of the snakes mouth again, the spikes of iron dissolving away to follow her out of it's mouth in a cloud as it formed into a floating platform which Kye stood on high in the air, observing the beast's flailing to see if it would continue on, or not. it didn't take long however for the beast's pain to turn to rage as it let out a piercing scream and lunged for Kye again, this time, spitting out a jet of green poison at it's target as it moved to swallow her again.
Diving to the side in a rolling motion off the side of the platform, the iron sand dissolved from it's former location, quickly reforming where Kye moved so that she landed on a platform of iron again, just narrowly avoiding the poison. The snake's head was quick to track her however as it reared up and then struck down at Kye in her kneeling position. Without time to set up a counter-attack as before, Kye was forced to leap up backwards off of her platform, about 10 feet higher into the air as her grip on her spear tightened. As she continued to fly through the air, her spear suddenly surged with yellow energy which flowed through it like electricity. The sections above Kye's suddenly breaking apart, chains of lightning could be seen forming in between each section of her spear as it cracked through the air like a whip. The snake's strike breaking through the floating iron platform, it's follow up lunge towards Kye's position was swift, but it was quickly met by her spear, which Kye had whipped toward it's snout, it's sharpened point and chakra enhanced piercing ability causing it to dig into the snake's flesh like a grappling hook.
With a flick of her wrist, the rest of the chains wrapped around the snake's mouth, suddenly constricting inward to slam the snake's gaping maw shut. Then, holding the end of the spear, Kye fell through the air, her momentum carrying her in an arc around the snake's mouth until she suddenly let go, launching her through the air above the snake's head as she twisted acrobatically before lunging downward at the snake's skull. With a resounding yell, Kye's fist struck forward, her arm covered with her patented iron-plated arm guards as it struck hard and heavy on the summon's head performing the deadly Futae no Kiwami directly to the skull, which would threaten to utterly decimate and destroy every bone and organ in it's head, pulverizing it utterly. Her fist colliding with the skull like the crack of thunder, the snake's form suddenly fell away, leaving nothing but an empty snake skin behind as the lightning chain disappeared from Kye's weapon, the separate sections plummeting downward to the ground along with Kye.
Shocked at the sudden change of the situation, Kye twisted in the air just in time to turn around and see the enormous snake summon rise up out of the ground, it's long body shooting up as it craned it's head downward, letting loose a shriek as it lunge forward once more. With only one option left to her, Kye knew that the absorbing impact of this attack would be harsh, but it was her only option. Reaching out her hand, the separate sections of her spear suddenly stopped their descent and flew toward her. Catching the bottom segment first, the lightning chain flowed out through the staff once more, shooting out to the other sections, attaching to them and pulling them in one at a time as they locked into place. Then, in an instant, Kye released an immense burst of chakra through the weapon, the entire spear glowing a soft yellow color, but then quickly intensified into a bright bluish-white light. "Ki Ryu-no Ho-ko-: Denkou Taihou!"
With her call to the weapon, the amassed chakra took form, leaping off the blade in the shape of a great Dragon's maw which opened wide and roared at the incoming summon. The Dragon's maw then expanded into an immense beam of flowing chakra as it consumed both spear and Kye in a shining light which shot forward suddenly in a 10 foot wide, 7 foot high chakra blast which utterly engulfed the summon's head and most of it's body, totally incinerating it from the face of the earth as Kye was shot backwards from the force of the attack without anything to brace her against it's recoil. The snake summon was immediately consumed, bursting into an enormous puff of white smoke just as Kye's body struck the ground with immense force, the pain of the fall rippling through her body as she arched her back, bouncing across the grass plain for another 15 feet before coming to a halt. Lying motionless for some time, Kye's robe was tattered in many areas, revealing her ninja garb below, which in turn had areas which were tattered themselves to reveal battered, burned, scraped, and bleeding skin underneath.

Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || Laying motionless for several minutes, it could have easily been assumed that Kye was dead... and in fact if anyone else had done what she just did, they might be dead. As it was however, Kye's body was an iron fortress, toned, trained, and hardened beyond the level of even the most highly trained taijutsu masters. The chakra blast itself would not have done this to her normally, but with the lack of a surface to cushion the recoil of such an immense blast of energy, she had struck the ground at speeds equal to having fallen from about 50 feet in the air, landing on her back. However, just before she had struck, she used another of the Ishi no Karada's master skills, the Ishi Suji. Typically such a technique would be used to reflect an incoming taijutsu strike, but Kye had used this same technique in a unique fashion, pushing back much of the force that the ground pushed against her back in on itself, cracking and splitting the earth where she had landed several feet in front of her.
Coming to, Kye began to stir in her injured position, her body burning with pain from the rippled effects of striking the ground so hard and the after effects of her attack. Reacting on instinct however, her body, though severely beaten responded to her needs as she slowly rose to her feet, stumbling only slightly before gaining the chance to look around at the field. The summon was destroyed and the land was torn up in many areas... obviously proof that there had been a large battle there. "This isn't going to be easy to cover up..." Either way, Kye only had a few minutes before the border patrols would arrive, giving her very little time to make her escape without avoiding suspicion. "Even many of my own people don't know that I am capable of such combat. If they see me when they arrive, it will ignite suspicion as to how a diplomat, albeit a warrior diplomat was able to cause such devastation and still survive."
Combing the area quickly, Kye saw the journal that she had opened on the ground... the very same one which had summoned the massive serpent. walking over, Kye picked it up, the pages now freely opening and blowing in the wind... the defense mechanism guarding it having been destroyed. Putting it away, Kye would have to examine it's contents later, but in the middle of her thought a sudden and massive explosion erupted not far from her. Leaping backwards instinctively, Kye watched the burst of fire, flames, and debris erupt from the ground utterly consuming the house which led to the hidden passages beneath. From what she could tell, the explosion itself began underground and burned fragments of paper and scorched stone were strewn about the field. "Heh... one final method of protection... self destruction. Whoever the woman who lived there was, she had more secrets then we'll ever know. She must have been protecting a life's work of insidious research to work so hard to keep it out of other people's hands."
Having overstayed her welcome, Kye immediately began to run across the fields at blistering speeds, using her knowledge of the layout of these lands to hide herself, riddling her escape with Flash Steps here and there to carry her across large populated distances. keeping herself secluded in the shadows in this method, she avoided all detection on her way back to the village and left the border patrols to clean up the mess and begin their investigations. The real investigation however would commence only as soon as Kye fixed herself up and found Yasa. "We'll piece this together as best we can, and figure out what to do about Shin. there is clearly more to this boy then I may have initially thought."
