I will be going to Six Flags to attend the Fright Night Fest. I've always wanted to go at this time of year.
I have never gone trick or treating. My mom never took us out to go and we ignored every kid that showed up at the door but we would make candy houses, eat them, and watch horror movies.

While I really do wish I had someone to take trick or treating, or had kids stopping by, I likes me the sound of candy houses.... what did you use for the foundation? biggrin
Halloween has really changed even just since I was a kid. Now-a-days it seems the smallest children trick or treat at the mall with their parents (safe environment and such) early in the evening, and only a few die-hards go door to door. Maybe I'm just super out of the loop, as the only people I know of that have kids who are young enough to trick or treat live rather far away. (My co-workers kids are my age or just a bit younger than I am, and my cousins and sister in law who have kids are all outside BC)

If I ever get up BC ways around Hallowe'en, we should trick or treat.
Homeowner: "Aren't you people a little old for this?" Gem-Gem: "Aren't you being a little too picky when we're the only people you'll see all night?" Exxos: "I'm allergic to p'nuts! Snarf!"

We had bought candy because I know there are kidlets in our building, but nobody ever came by. I just figured they'd go to all the rich houses nearby with the possibility of better candies (I would have done that, lol). Looking back at that though, it does seem more like they are just sheltered. One girl who I see all the time seriously gets the bus to school with her dad everyday and she's about 13...and they only go 2 stops - aka 2 blocks. Some days it's faster to walk than to wait for that bus, but those two are conjoined at the hip or something, haha.

So, on the topic of costumes:
My crown and scepter are almost finished. <3
Still haven't decided what shoes I'm going to wear. I may go with my boots ... we'll see.
Did a test run on my make-up w couple weeks ago, and it looked good! smile So we're hoping it all looks nice.
I'm also hoping to help with the make-up for the 2 kidlettes I'm trick-or-treating with. But I don't know if they're mom will let me or not, and I don't want to over-step. So we shall see. smile
I'll try to remember to get pictures before i leave the house.

Then she used lots of candies to fill the house, from Twizzlers, candy corn, mints, gummy bears, to name a few.

Yay picture time! Your costumes both look great Arly! biggrin Here's some of my shitty costume, lol. I went with a impromptu ragdollish outfit. I just made the skirt, then found the vest in my fabric stash. And also the back: I decorated the house a bit, so I'll post those tooooo. And maybe pumpkin pics later! The Candy table: A pumpkin tablecloth:

Weird - the first part of my post disappeared!
Isa - your decorations are incredibly awesome!! And your last-minute costume, is better than a lot of planned-out costumes I saw this year!! Apparently 2 boys showed up to our door, with NO costumes what-so-ever, going trick-or-treating, they were at LEAST 14! (sounds like they were closer to 16 or 17). xD My mom gave them a hard time before giving them candy.
Arly - OH MY GOD I LOVE IT! biggrin <3 you both rock! I'm so glad you and your hubby dressed up! biggrin
