It's the story of my life.WARNING: LITERARY ANALYSIS AHEAD. So, I read a lot of manga lately. Namely, those works by Matsuri Hino and Bisco Hatori that have become so famous, along with their more obscure ones. I was reading Captive Hearts (Matsuri Hino), and I realized how much of a masochist Megumi is... and it reminded me of Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight). Heck, in the second volume, the name "Kaname" is even used! O.o And, with Bisco Hatori... I was looking at Ouran High School Host Club, and was thinking about it in comparison with Millennium Snow... Chiyuki and Haruhi are very... ah, how do I put this... comedic relief sorts of characters, aren't they? DISCUSS: Parallels between stories from two authors.I know who would want to take me home...--Semisonic, Closing Time

...i don't see what's so special about it, Rumiko Takahashi does it all of the time.
just compare Ranma½ and Urusei Yatsura, you can barely think it's different manga, you could also include Inu Yasha in there O3o....
i shouldn't make clamp though, they've even created two series to reference back to all of their other works _XD!!

It's really common in CLAMP's manga, as they always make their manga connect with another title of them. I found it quite interesting because you often find some of the characters which appeared before in a completely different storyline. Just like almost everyone who reads Tsuabasa Reservoir Chronicle starts with xxxHolic for a better understing the story etc.
