I'd like to go, but I'm not sure if I can. However, one tip, since I have a lot of experience there (my friend from Osaka worked there for a while):
Don't dress up like an anime character. They won't think you're cute. They will laugh at you.
I've gone to Festival Japan there a few times with her, and I haven't met a Japanese person there yet who enjoys weeaboo trampling on their s**t. Just sayin'.

I hope you can, the more the better~ but really though I don't think the tip was necessary, this is a meet-up guild, not a cosplay guild and if cosplay was going to be involved it most certainly would have been mentioned.
And the camera idea sounds awesome!

Most Japanese people like otaku freaks about as much as most Scots like idiots wearing kilts. If you're going to do that kind of thing, do it at Kumoricon where it belongs. Have some respect, and some dignity for that matter.

I think that kind of goes without saying. This is a grocery store primarily, not a cosplay convention or cosplay cafe. sweatdrop I don't dress up in my Star Wars outfits when I go to Safeway, so I wouldn't be dressing up in any of my anime cosplay outfits for this place. I think that's just plain obvious, really. Though I guess if someone didn't know what the store was... I guess...

Yeah, it can be a neat little place. I've never been to the restaurant there, but I've been to the store plenty of times. Oddly, I was just there a week or two ago... xd

The reason I brought it up is because I have on numerous occasions seen people cosplaying at Uwajimaya. xd
