Personally, I find 11 to be less scary than 10, no offense to 10 who was amazing after all. smile I also like Amy. There were continuity problems in the first 4 seasons too. It's still a good show.
I don't care if they retcon the regeneration limit. smile

ezactron14 Donna got a key as well. She was choking on atmos at the time. I think Amy is more annoying than the new doctor. I agree with my mom's theory that they're trying to attract some of the "twilight crowd" with their stars. I never thought about that before, but your right... they are very twilight-esque. Hmm, then maybe my mom would like Doctor Who now... Not likely. As for 11, I can't see the seriousness in him as much as 9 and 10. 9 did a rather good job at being more serious and darker, which 10 could do but was also much lighter in character. I like 11 but he lacks some of the character the other two had. And Amy... well, she's interesting but I can say she isn't one of my favorite companions.

Amy's headstrong, but with out the underlying depth the other characters had. 9 gave you the feeling of the doctor's upsetting past, while 10 gave you the sense that he just wanted it to help, and lost patience with aliens out solely for their personal gain. 11 I'm not sure... maybe just enjoy his old age?

I absolutely abhor Twilight. To have any relation with Doctor Who is ridiculous.
Matt Smith is a good actor. He may not be as serious as 9 or 10, but he has a child-like character like past incarnations. He is nervous, unsure, and young like 5. The 11th Doctor is the Doctor does it really matter what number is in front?
On the evil 11th Doctor topic at least 11 did not take Amy away from Rory. 9 took Rose away from Mickey knowing full well that they were together.

Tanubi Yoshim SaphiraStar I'd much rather believe that the writers are dumb than the Doctor. Me too. The doctor has been so amazing in his life and has pointed out trillions of things that even Batman wouldn't have noticed or understood. To think that he went from that to this is a heart stabbing moment. I know with ever doctor comes a new face and personality but the doctor has his memories and experiances and how he can be so dumb now is just frustrating, you just know it's the writers fault. The problem comes with that being an outside the show explination, no inside show explination causes a big problem I think. I remember 10 saying that his head was so full of stuff sometimes he just didn't see what was in front of his face anymore. I don't think the Doctor is evil just old. He's not the man he once was no matter how young his body may be.

That is the best theory so far. I also think he keeps on thinking about the "big picture" to often and not the small details anymore.

It may be a mix of looking at things too small or too big and therefore missing the obvoius.

11th Doctor...hmm....I prefer the 10th over the 11th. The 10th was A LOT funnier. Now Doctor Who just isn't as good....But that's just my opinion.

maybe it's that the 11th has this annoying habit of running around aimlessly without even an attempt at a plan for a while in each episode

We are judging him on one season. He has plenty of other chances coming up ahead to prove himself.

It's still a good show. I don't care if they retcon the regeneration limit. smile Because I have way too much time, I looked up regen in the Dr Who wiki, and I read that Rasilon has infinite regen, where he set up his energy so he wouldn't have a limit. Either that, or they could go the way of the Master giving him a new body. But that would be dark of the Doctor!

"A firefly Caught my eye--I think it's usually more of a continuity issue... which I find kind of interesting at times. Is it just me, or is it fun to point out the flaws as you find them while watching? --And she blew away, far away Always flies away, far away.
